N.C. Man Claims He Has Picture of Bigfoot

Fox 8 11:00 p.m. EDT, October 29, 2010

A man that once worked as a fraud investigator claims he has captured an image of North American folklore.

Mike Greene, a former chief of fraud investigation in New Jersey, claims he captured video of Bigfoot in the Uwharrie National Forest over a year ago.

"In the middle of the night, I was awakened by what I call, 'Darth Vader' breaths," said Greene. Greene said he was able to capture a thermal image of Sasquatch that night.

"We have, in the organization, maybe 200 game cams out looking for Sasquatches. We haven't got one lousy picture of a Sasquatch, which doesn't make any sense, unless you think that maybe these things are so smart that they either see the game cam," said Greene.

He goes on to say (quote from video) he believes no one has much evidence to date as the ‘Squatch’ is either too intelligent or it can ‘See the game cam, or they can hear or sense electro-radiation.’

Greene said there is no doubt he caught one of the rare images of the increasingly evasive creature.

Check out the video on the source link above. I've not found it on YouTube. (Edit to Add: This is NOT the self proclaimed 'hillbilly bigfoot man' from N.C on YouTube. I repeat it is NOT the same person or video.)

The man seems very credible - with 20 years of fraud investigation for the State of Jersey under his belt.

His video and explanation? Leave me with little doubt.

His explanation of his 'shot' vs. a 'person in a fat suit’ is extremely interesting. He claims you wouldn’t see the same evidence you see in his video if what he was filming were a man in a suit, due to the ‘heat signature’...

Could we be onto something here?

Well, I can see by the date here this was 'released' quite a while ago.

I wonder why Fox 8 is covering it only now?

Well, there ya go anyway... Don't blame the messenger, lol.

What have we here? This is pretty compelling if you ask me. Don't know if you are a believer or not, but I am guessing you are by your post. The guy seems to have the credentials to be able to smell fraud a mile away. Pretty ingenious too if you ask me, using a thermal imaging system. Like he said, in today;s world, any still picture would be dismissed as a suit or CGI.

The heat signature to me looks like very solid evidence, although when you only have one set of evidence without corroberation, it still becomes a long shot at the truth. The heat signature looks like a large humanoid, but how large I can not tell from this video.

At the end of the day, I am digging this as pretty good evidence.

Star, flag and kudos to you

I've seen this footage in another thread here on ATS but , I don't recall the title of the thread . Seems like that thread said that the guy set up the gamecam and left and then came back the next day . There was also speculation that there were , in fact , two of the 'creatures' in the footage .

Will try to find it , if you'd like . Thanks for posting . For the record , I believe they are real . I live in Oklahoma and we have our share of sightings and reports . I frequent the deep woods quite a bit and there is definitely something strange out there . Never had a sighting but , I've heard things in the mountains , up close , that caused me to petrify .

ETA : Okay , your second post actually shows there are indeed two of them .

A quick google search yielded many results for this video from every other paranormal site, but it looks like this might the first on ATS. Perhaps you posted on another forum on another site on here. I even did an ATS search but found only this thread.

I am still going through the other finds to see what other evidence might come up, and trying to see how credible this guy is.

correction, here is the ats thread
ATS thread infrared bigfoot

I wish someone would just take a good video of bigfoot. Maybe go shake his hand and bring him on Good Morning America so we can finally get over it. But I doubt we will ever get anything other than a blurry, inconclusive video.

As the self proclaimed Bigfoot geek that I am, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Through the years we have 1000's of firsthand accounts, simliar number of casts, still photos and even some videos. Unfortunetly in the absense of a carcass or a live specimen, this is all Bigfoot will ever be. A shadow. A breath. Some footprints in the morning.

The one thing I will say about Bigfoot that isnt really true in other paranormal realms is the fact that a sighting makes almost always an instant believer. A strange light in the sky doesnt immediately turn the dozens of people watching on the ground into UFO believers. Hiking in the woods and seeing this creature, wont be long before the previous skeptic become the newest believer.

ps....
stars for everyone so far here participating in the Bigfoot thread.
The cryptid forum is seriously under-posted.

Thermal imaging is no proof of anything more than that something was there.

Could still be a human in a suit, or simply a human. His game camera in the tub has a better chance of providing evidence in my opinion, than a thermal camera does.

All the credentials in the world don't really mean he can't still lie or himself be deceived, but this really doesn't even qualify as suggestive to me.

You know, after watching that video a few times there were a few things that I noticed:

1) There is a second humanoid creature just to the left of the main one that you can see moving on cam. I could see a head poke out from under the brush for a about 3 seconds before the more noticeable one starting moving.

2) The movements of the larger of the two humanoids has a swagger in its step. It reminds me of watching great apes move about on their hind legs. Think of Gorillas or perhaps Orangutans.

3) From what I could see, the head almost ended at a point at the top. Reminds me of Gorillas.

I've been a closet bigfoot geek most of my life. I regularly go to the zoo just to see the primates, and while I'm no primatologist, I can say that just from observing apes in zoos for most of my life, the movements I observed resemble that of the apes I enjoy watching at the zoo.

My $.02.

Peace be with you.

No doubt. I was very skeptical until Oct. 23rd. I use to think that with all the modern video recording devices out there and lack of conclusive video evidence, bigfoot couldn't exist. I didn't even once think about taking out my camera. I just wanted to get out of there fast.

The original Patterson film still stands as the BEST evidence yet for the existence of Bigfoot, in my opinion.

As a matter of fact, I watched a National Geographic show on this just yesterday. In these shows they usually use science and/or the latest technology to debunk various things.

At the end of this show, the bottom line on the Patterson film was that it was determined it was basically impossible for the creature shown in that film to be a man in a suit. The best special effects costume guys working in Hollywood today using techniques and technology almost 50 years more current STILL could not produce a suit that passed muster - and they worked on it for months.

Simple logic dictates, if it's not a man in a suit/costume, then it must be some other living creature as yet unidentified.

But the fact remains that until we find either a body or capture a live one most people simply will not believe.

No Kudos to me, thank Mr.Green and FOX 8, but, thanks to you for giving the 'messenger' a pat on the back.

And yeah, I'm pretty psyched about this one, and like you I'd really like to see what else has been posted here on ATS in regards to the video. I neglected to find anything, but still searching.

On a personal note, I've no doubt 'Big Foot' is 'out there'. I just have no doubt. It doesn’t even take Faith, for me it’s just a given.

And in fact I'm in hopes, in a way, we DO NOT find 'them' as I'd just so hate to see them 'corrupted'... But it's hard to turn away from something like this.

One thing I do want to do now that I've read through some post is go back and look very VERY closely at the video posted by Fox 8 and compare it to the You Tube video to make sure they're the same.

Be back after I take a peek.

Thanks again

What's really ironic is that I swear on my life that I have stood directly beneath an unidentified flying object , up-close and personal , and yet I rarely visit any ufo threads . Blurry objects don't interest me .

On the other hand , I've never had an eyewitness encounter with bigfoot and yet I tend to feel they are more valid than 99% of the ufo sightings .

Point made. Point taken. Point in fact just screams the truth.

I've been in the woods. I've heard things. I've yet to 'see' anything - but - I've NO DOUBT if I did? I wouldn't go around second guessing myself, like I might, if I saw glowing orange lights in the sky.

Once, (and it's too bad I can't believe my ears as well as my eyes) I 'heard' a scream.
The hairs on the back of my neck have never been the same.
BUT...
As sure as I was it wasn't human, and as much as I wanted to believe it was Sasquatch... Too many other possibilities jumped to mind (puma, etc)...

Yeah, in this case - Big Foot - the 'EYES' would have it.

peace and thanks

Yes that is kind of what I mean. I wish we had better video evidence that an 18mm film from 1967. I watched that show too and it was very intriguing. It was titled The Truth Series: AP - Bigfoot on YouTube if anyone wants to watch it. I would embed it here but I don't know how.
