Yeah I know there is another thread like this, this is different. Growing up, forever it has been called Krakatoa, and it is a crazy big volcano that wreaked havoc in 1883.

I believe there are big changes going on in the world right now, and there is a definite increase in volcanic activity lately.

Krakatoa is capable of serious doom:

Krakatau (Indonesian: Krakatau), often mispelled Krakatoa, is a volcanic island made of a'a lava[2] in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in Indonesia. The name is used for the island group, the main island (also called Rakata), and the volcano as a whole. The island exploded in 1883, killing approximately 40,000 people, although some estimates put the death toll much higher. The explosion is still considered to be the loudest sound ever heard in modern history, with reports of it being heard nearly 3,000 miles from its point of origin. The shock wave from the explosion was recorded on barographs around the globe.

en.wikipedia.org...

"The best known eruption of Krakatoa culminated in a series of massive explosions on August 26–27, 1883, which was among the most violent volcanic events in modern and recorded history.

With a Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) of 6,[3] the eruption was equivalent to 200 megatons of TNT (840 PJ) — about 13,000 times the nuclear yield of the Little Boy bomb (13 to 16 kt) that devastated Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II and four times the yield of the Tsar Bomba (50 Mt), the largest nuclear device ever detonated.

The 1883 eruption ejected approximately 21 km3 (5.0 cu mi) of rock, ash, and pumice.[4]

The cataclysmic explosion was distinctly heard as far away as Perth in Western Australia, about 1,930 miles (3,110 km) away, and the island of Rodrigues near Mauritius, about 3,000 miles (5,000 km) away.[5]

Near Krakatau, according to official records, 165 villages and towns were destroyed and 132 seriously damaged, at least 36,417 (official toll) people died, and many thousands were injured by the eruption, mostly from the tsunamis that followed the explosion. The eruption destroyed two-thirds of the island of Krakatoa.

Eruptions at the volcano since 1927 have built a new island in the same location, named Anak Krakatau (Indonesian: "Child of Krakatoa"). This island currently has a radius of roughly 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) and a high point around 300 metres (980 ft) above sea level, growing 5 metres (16 ft) each year.[6] "

Anyway to expand a little on my theory, I think something big is going on and TPTB know about it, and it involves bad natural disasters.

There are so many volcanoes erupting right now.

2 pretty big ones in Russia, and 2 in Indonesia. These are the ones that have erupted in the last couple of days.

So the real question is what is about to happen? Seems like doom to me, but then again I am just some anon doomologist posting on a conspiracy forum.

seems like a warming planet to me

Oh and by the way, here is a summary of the climatological damage this series of eruptions caused.

In the year following the eruption, average global temperatures fell by as much as 1.2 °C (2.2 °F). Weather patterns continued to be chaotic for years, and temperatures did not return to normal until 1888. The eruption injected an unusually large amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas high into the stratosphere which was subsequently transported by high-level winds all over the planet. This led to a global increase in sulfurous acid (H2SO3) concentration in high-level cirrus clouds. The resulting increase in cloud reflectivity (or albedo) would reflect more incoming light from the sun than usual, and cool the entire planet until the suspended sulfur fell to the ground as acid precipitation.[10]

Are you saying it just erupted as in now? Please provide links...I'm looking on google and yahoo and I don't see any news about it. I don't have regular tv so I can't check it that way. All I have is the internet. Please provide news links, if you can, if it just erupted now. Thanks in advance.

While a lot of volcanoes may be erupting, and while that might be a rare occurrence, rare occurrences still do occur.

For instance. If I roll a six sided dice on a flat surface where all dice rolls have equal odds of occurring, which series of rolls is more likely:

6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6 6

or

4 1 5 6 2 4 6 3 1 6 3 5 2 7 2 3 1 5 4 4 5 2 4 1 5 6 3 4 2 4 3 6 1 3 2 5 6

The answer is that both have equal odds of occurring, even though their odds are really low, and that if I roll the dice that many times, even though ALL outcomes have extremely low probabilities, an outcome will still occur.

I think that if there is an abnormal level of volcanic eruption we are merely witnessing a rare but naturally occurring combination of events. It's not that the whole world is dying, but just that coincidentally, all these volcanoes are erupting at once.

It SEEMS like it's extremely unlikely, but it's not. If any given volcano can erupt, then it's reasonable that through regular processes, multiple volcanoes could erupt at the same time even though it seems incredibly rare to us humans.

Thing is, volcanoes cause global cooling, not warming, or were you referring to the warming up of volcanic activity?

Krakatoa in the English spelling.
and Krakatau is the Indonesian spelling.

This is common when you have two different languages for the same word to be spelled different.

The English writer of the reports of 1883 eruption likely spelled it phonetically and not the same as the Indonesian's spell it.

Not to be crass...but if you are near one when it blows then this academic argument isn't much comfort. I'm praying for everyone. I wish that those that believe in God would do the same. If you don't believe, then please keep people in your thoughts. Let's try to be supportive and help each other this time.

Not saying the whole world is dying, but if Krakatoa erupts like it did in 1883 get ready for some cold weather.

Anak Krakatau?

Krakatau was so utterly destroyed in 1883 that the cone that now rises from the crater is called the "Son of Krakatau" or Anak Krakatau.

Really really really being underplayed on MSM. One story I could find out of the UK stating 2 volcanoes are now erupting in Indonesia and another that stated 2 were already erupting when this one erupted. I'm with the OP on this - it's a really big deal.

Sorry guys, I missunderstood this thread, I thought people were saying something supernatural was occurring, or something that couldn't just naturally occur was occurring, and was addressing that.

From my post in the other thread my concern for human life in these tragic events should be clear (and I made that post first), but I apologize if I confused anyone into thinking I was saying this was no big deal. When a volcano erupts and people are effected it is a huge deal and I wish everyone safety and prosperity. These people are in my thoughts and I can only hope they are able to overcome and adapt and survive and ultimately thrive in what must be incredibly challenging times for them. I am worried, I just meant to say that this very horrible chain of events is probably naturally occurring, and I apologize if I made it seem like I was saying something else.

Read up on Gaia Theory and then once you can view the planet as a living organism then it all becomes clear...Man is a cancer on this planet and mother earth is going to kick humankind so hard....

Krakatau's 1883 eruption made the skies over Norway red, and there's a theory that it inspired Munch to paint the famous painting "The Scream".

One theory advanced to account for the reddish sky in the background is that Munch had observed an effect of the powerful volcanic eruption of Krakatoa in 1883: the ash that was ejected from the volcano left the sky tinted red in much of eastern United States and most of Europe and Asia from the end of November 1883 to mid February 1884.

Munch described his inspiration for the image thus:

“I was walking along a path with two friends — the sun was setting — suddenly the sky turned blood red — I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence — there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city — my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety — and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.”
