You are creating a situation where your view is justified only by a series of coincidences, when common sense for any local out here by Garden Grove is that we can tell pretty easily if a helicopter is going on a manhunt.

I believe the videographers that they heard "Danger, Danger" and that they saw police chasing right before this happened, then this happened, then the helicopter.

Anyway, I don't live in Garden Grove exactly, but I live close enough, and we get helicopters overhead ALL the time, so just seeing the helicopter would not have excited them like this. When a helicopter is chasing someone down it paints its target with a huge spotlight, btw, which would easily be visible from video because it is VERY bright (brighter than the colored lights of that helicopter you see in video).

Also, they were commenting on the helicopter going up in altitude, and a police helicopter on a manhunt stays as low as it can I've actually witnessed a manhunting helicopter several times in my area, it's REALLY easy to recognize and not easy to confuse with a helicopter just cruising, or anything else.

Well first of all, you say I am going on a series of coincendences contained in the video....well of course I am, it's the only evidence provided.

Secondly, you say a manhunt chopper stays as low as possible. Well if its a chase in progress, sometimes the chopper will remove themselves from sight to allow the perp to calm down preventing dangerous situations.

Either way, I only said the manhunt thing as a possible option, not as a definite explanation.

I don't know what's in the video, but it doesn't look anything like that transformer to me. All those fins on the transformer are for heat dissipation/cooling.

There is some structure on the outside of the object being moved, but they are beams of structural support, not cooling fins. Whatever that object is, it's very strong, and looks like it could support a lot of weight, and the walls could resist a lot of bending force applied to them with those rigid beams reinforcing the walls.

One thing that comes to mind is a documentary I saw about a modular shipbuilding technique. The ship was made in modular components about the size of this thing and then all the modules were fitted together to construct the ship, though I'm not saying it's a ship component, I don't know what it is.Someone in the other thread said it looks like a nuclear reactor module for a naval vessel. I don't know about that but I wouldn't rule it out, like I'd rule out it being a transformer.

At first I had no idea what people meant by saying this was hoaxed, obviously it's a real event. But then I started to see what they meant by hoax, some parts don't add up. The people are way too excited for what it is they're seeing for one thing. But the oddest part of all to me was after the girl ran up to the cop, then came running back to the car and said "We gotta get outta here...put the camera away..."

The first thing I'd expect to happen if it was real is for the girl to say what the cop said to her, but I didn't hear her say that and I didn't hear anyone ask. And the cop didn't look agitated at all like he was telling them to get out of there.

Also, if they could see masks, why didn't they video the masks, that didn't sound too credible to me. So yeah it's a real event, but the hoax isn't the event, it's a bunch of acting (overacting or overreacting) to a simple transfer of a large piece of equipment. So far nobody has really convinced me they know what it is, but without a military escort or a tarp I don't think it was all that sensitive.

And there's no UFO, not even sure why this is in the UFO forum. Just a helicopter near the end.

hi arbitrageur, i was one of those that you may be referring to as calling hoax, and yes by hoax i didn't mean the convoy was staged, i just meant that some either creative and/or delusional people have used a normal event out of context to create a ufo hoax.

I think you're right, but it seems like a stretch of the word "hoax" if the only thing really faked is their reactions and not the footage. I see 3 possibilities:

1-They are acting with fake reactions (though all the video looks real, if shot poorly).
2-They are not faking their reactions, but they're on drugs.
3-They are not faking their reactions, and they're not on drugs.

I suppose a very small percentage of the population can get overly excited about mundane things so I don't rule out #3, but that's a relatively rare condition so it doesn't seem likely, especially since all of them are freaking out.

I lean toward #1 partly because of the comments the uploader made in the youtube page:

So IzayneLewis claims it wasn't acting, but says now there's an interest in acting, and it's the 2nd video...big clue. To me that says it probably was acting, so I think you're right, though I'm just not sure "hoax" is the most accurate description.

but the strange thing is that they also filmed the blue california "ufo" that turned out to be an rc plane, now the problem i have is that did they just manage to get extremely lucky with the convoy on the same night?, or is there more to this as in is this some kind of viral advertising for something ? because even though there's obviously nothing alien or ufo to it i find it extremely unlikely they would be in the right place at the right time for 2 separate events or even 3 if we are to believe there were two convoys on two separate days!.

only explanation i can give for that if they believe its real is that they saw the ufo(rc plane) then went for a drive to get closer but just happened to stumble across the convoy on the way, then realised they were getting you tube hits and uploaded more video of the same convoy claiming it to be from a different day.

I was only using these pics as a comparison and reference as to what it looks like. We can't see the other side so we don't know if it has cooling fins on it. The reason I say it looks like a large electrical transformer is because in the two screen shots I have here if you look at the front you see what looks like cables which would be the ones they hook up the main power line to the transformer.

i don't think they were acting this out, but at the same time i can't say for sure that they saw a ufo. it's possible they might of interpreted this event wrongly. it could of been some sort of nuclear spill or even a missile in that container. there's nothing really conclusive in this footage to suggest it was a ufo, but then again i'm not ruling it out either

I hate it when movie producers try to pass footage like this off as real. Just bring out a good trailer and don't take the public for fools. Clearly it's actors, the urgency in their voices is fake and sounds too staged. Also the sound of whatever we're supposed to believe is landing is added to the footage. It's just too clear and 'spaceshipy' sounding!
Things like this really put me off seeing movies, and I'll bet you that's what it is! A MOVIE!

Neither video has anything to suggest there's a UFO besides their narration and I too suspected a viral ad from the first video.

The one narrator stated in YT comments that "Now im not a You tube Head, Im a singer releasing a CD" and he blatantly gives his website during the video. Hmm.

I see a video title (Garden Grove UFO Chase) with zero proof, never mind evidence, a video that shows nothing exceptionally strange and the possibility of free marketing for an upcoming CD.

Considering the titles that were chosen for the videos, Garden Grove UFO Chase 1 day after 10 10 10 and Garden Grove UFO SIGHTING POLICE ESCORT, AMust See UFO Sighting thats Shocking, and there's no evidence, never mind proof of a UFO, I think the term hoax is quite fitting honestly.

also listen to the sound effects at the end. they sound not real to me. THe seem to have put effects on the video.

Alright so they made a mistake and probably had energy flowing from loud speakers yelling danger.. The way some of you on here talk about your fellow man and woman when they make a mistake is just UGLY! I can almost see you get all warm and fuzzy inside when you think of a CLEVER insult. I never knew some people posting on here were perfect. Well maybe just not as spiritually advanced but I guess that would just make me the same to say that even. Anyways I enjoyed seeing these folks excited about first contact even if this wasn't that it was nice to see their going towards the ufo/equipment and not running. Nice post.

Good eye my friend and that looks to be the exact same transformer that is in the OP. I am glad you posted this. That is an awesome site to watch if you ever get a chance to see one of those monsterous trucks move that heavy freight. I find it interesting how they lift the light pole up just enough to get the truck under it.
