Read '___': The Spirit Molecule by Dr. Rick Strassman. It gives you a good perspective on death. I think we can reincarnate on earth, here or on another planet in the 3-D realm or another realm. I think Nirvana and Heaven and Moksha are states of being. I can elaborate more if anyone is interested. I believe the Buddhists and Hindus got a lot of it correct, so did Christianity but those teachings were cast out as non canonical.

always interested.
isn't it the buddists who believe we go through 7 levels of rebirth to reach enlightenment?
each time becoming more awake.

Our physical elements return to the universe and our soul is dead. But it is not the absolute end.
In we remain in God's memory but not alive, and he will recreate us when this earth is a paradise again.
It called the the Resurrection.

So far some people are saying nothing happens.

Many are simply offering what their Belief-System says.

Just about all are saying No-One Can Know.

And yet on Page 3, I offered a very clear set of facts that I experience regularly every week for too many years to count right now.

And what happened then? Nothing.. is this factual and detailed information too far out for anyone to consider, or so much as respond to?

I do understand most of you have succumbed to the Belief that everyone Lies, many will seek glory or fame from what they say, and that many are also mentally-ill.. which explains why they could have their own experiences.. apparently.

So let me say... what I shared on Page 3 is exactly what happens once the physical body is dropped. It does not Require any Belief from you, it does not Require Logic because Logic is a only Human attribute.. and we cannot hope to explain what exists using Logic or Belief-Systems because both are flawed and extremely limited in comparison to what actually does exist.

I have died more time's than i care to count.
NDE
And i am telling you without a shadow of a doubt this is what happen's.
You last "thought or feeling" is what you after life is.
When you die everything become's dark...and you see a bright light...the bright light is your eye's loosing blood..
consciousness.
Then what every you was thinking or felling..get's put into a spiral effect..and you are stuck with it for eternity.

Let's say you died getting drunk.
You realize you have died..you feel guilt and remorse cause you know you have just messed up bigtime...
You scream sorry SORRY!!! no one can hear you..and no one care's as you are in a state that resembles a
deep pit swirling with sulfur and heat and sparks of ember and you falling for all eternity.
Nothing can change it.
Same for happy thoughts ect...
But...i always get brought back to life...But i bet the darkness does come eventually..at leas ti hope..
cause thing's i have saw have turned my hair grey and i am only 30 lol

I made a big thread here on ats a long time ago about all my NDE and what i was doing when it happen and what i saw when i died.
And every NDE i had was like i say your last "thought or felling aka emotion"
I am sure if ya search for it you could find it.

i don't doubt what people have said on this thread.
many have shared some pretty cool experiences.
i could tell of more also.
i was there when my aunt died years ago.
ahe was sick and out of it for days.
the family flew in and i was the last to arrive to the hospital.
somehow she managed to wait till everyone got there and passed 2 minutes after i walked in the door.
i know she's been with me ever since.
many times have i felt her, caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye etc..
one time i nailed a huge bull elf doing 75 up in montana.
he went underneath the truck, ripped off the right front wheel and sent me into a ditch.
the truck rolled 7 times and endoed twice.
i saw her face and felt a pressure holding me against the seat.
i walked away unharmed.
there wasn't a part left on that truck.
was it her, i think so.
all i had was a lap belt.
a small shard of glass in my shoulder was it.
i never even banged my head or anything during all that rolling and flips.

Dying is like being born except you exit the body at the top of the head. You become an instant Yogi, traveling up the Chakras.

Epilogue: The Man of Understanding (The God-Man,or Enlightened Being)
The man of understanding is not entranced. He is not elsewhere. He is not having an experience. He is not passionless and inoffensive. He is awake. He is present. He knows no obstruction in the form of mind, identity, differentiation and desire. He uses mind, identity, differentiation and desire. He is passionate. His quality is an offense to those who are entranced, elsewhere, contained in the mechanics of experience, asleep, living as various forms of identity, separation and dependence. He is acceptable only to those who understand. He may appear no different from any other man. How could he appear otherwise? There is nothing by which to appear except the qualities of life. He may appear to have learned nothing. He may seem to be addicted to every kind of foolishness and error. How could it be otherwise? Understanding is not a different communication than the ordinary. There is only the ordinary. There is no special and exclusive communication that is the truth. There is no exclusive state of truth. But there is the understanding of the ordinary. Therefore, the man of understanding cannot be found. He cannot be followed. He can only be understood as the ordinary. He is not spiritual. He is not religious. He is not philosophical. He is not moral. He is not fastidious, lean and lawful. He always appears to be the opposite of what you are. He always seems to sympathize with what you deny. Therefore, at times and over time he appears as every kind of persuasion. He is not consistent. He has no image. At times he denies. At times he asserts. At times he asserts what he has already denied. At times he denies what he has already asserted. He is not useful. His teaching is every kind of nonsense. His wisdom is vanished. Altogether, that is his wisdom. At last he represents no truth at all. Therefore, his living coaxes everyone only to understand. His existence denies every truth, every path by which men depend on certain truths, certain experiences, certain simulations of freedom and enjoyment. He is a seducer, a madman, a hoax, a libertine, a fool, a moralist, a sayer of truths, a bearer of all experience, a righteous knave, a prince, a child, an old one, an ascetic, a god. He demonstrates the futility of all things. Therefore, he makes understanding the only possibility. And understanding makes no difference at all. Except it is reality, which was already the case. Heartless one, Narcissus, friend, loved one, he weeps for you to understand. After all of this, why haven't you understood? The only thing you have not done is understanding. You have seen everything, but you do not understand. Therefore, the man of understanding leaps for joy that you have already understood. He looks at the world and sees that every one and every thing has always understood. He sees that there is only understanding. Thus, the man of understanding is constantly happy with you. He is overwhelmed with happiness. He says to you: See how there is only this world of perfect enjoyment, where every one is happy, and every thing is blissful. His heart is always tearful with the endless happiness of the world. He has grasped it, but no one is interested. He is of interest to no one. He is fascinating. He is unnoticed. Since no one understands, how could they notice him? Because there is only understanding, he is beloved, and no one comes to see him. Because there is only truth, he is likely to become famous. Since there is only joy, he will not be remembered. Because you have already understood, you find it necessary to touch his hand. Since you love so much and are not understood, you find it possible to touch his ears. He smiles at you. You notice it. Everything has already died. This is the other world.

yea I found it odd no one even acknowledged what you said. My mother remarried a few years back, her husband has native american ancestors. Anyway, he's been able to see spirits his whole life. But I asked him about them a month ago and when he sees them they aren't like the spirits us normal folk see, they are like solid, real people. When he lived in Oklahoma City he had spirits come to him looking for help. But he didn't know how to help them. Alot of them wanted him to deliver messages or something.

One thing that stands out to me. When they first met he met my grandmother(mom's mom). He had never seen her, or seen a picture of her. She died around 1999. He was able to describe exactly what she looked like.

a friend of mine told me that when you die, your "spirit" would face different paths according how "ascended" you are...

if you're too tied to this land, you'll be a wanderer until your spirit vanishes on ether, or you can trascend to the next stage or dimension... and also that to enter heaven or hell is a very hard task, not everybody goes to heaven or hell, depends on your actions on earth, he told me that you can be a sinner all your life and won't be sent to hell, but if you do a very big atrocity (for example, harming a child) you'll be sent there...

reincarnation is out of context

I too have had an NDE and I have to agree with you on the liberating feeling. When I was in the light, I didn't want to leave. I knew nothing there. I didn't know I had children, didn't know that I had ever been sick. So there was nothing there to burden me down. I was given the choice of staying or going back. And almost at the exact moment I was given the choice, I realized that I was dead and that I needed to come back. I didn't really want to but the motherly instinct in me brought me back. I died for 7 minutes and then was in a coma for a little over a month. Waking up from that was a whole other story and journey.

When we die, our souls leaves our body but your consciousness from your physical body is gone. The consciousness of the soul is awaken (again). The process starts over again once the consciousness of the soul finds another "host". Im sure there is a point where past consciousness of the past physical bodies is aware of the past consciousness and consciousness of the soul and therefor can be ascended. I read somewhere where an alien being died and the alien's friend didnt care because it was just a physical form and that he will be back soon. They have someone figured out a way to live forever, in a sense.

Very interesting thread!

As I see it only your body made up of cells decompose at death. Your body in other dimensions(ie made up of atoms) will not at all die. It is very easy to come to this conclusion since an atom is very hard to split.

I quote the book Zhuan Falun(I recommend you read this book if you are interested in life, the meaning of life and how to become a good person etc) written by Li Hongzhi(founder of Falun Dafa, a self-cultivation method currently persecuted in China) on this vital matter:

www.falundafa.org...

The community of cultivators holds that one’s Primordial Spirit does not become extinct. In the past, people might call it superstitious to discuss the human Primordial Spirit. It is known that research on the human body in physics has found molecules, protons, electrons, going further down to quarks, neutrinos, etc. At that point, a microscope can no longer detect them. Yet they are far from the origin of life and from the origin of matter. Everyone knows that it requires a considerable amount of energy collision and a great amount of heat to enable fusion or nuclear fission to occur. How can the nuclei in one’s body easily become extinct as one dies? Therefore, we have found that when a person is dead, only the largest molecular elements in this dimension of ours have sloughed off, while the bodies in other dimensions are not degenerated. Think about it, everyone: What does a human body look like under a microscope? The entire human body is in motion. While you sit there still, the whole body is nevertheless in motion. Cell molecules are in motion, and the whole body is loose as if composed of sand. A human body looks just like that under a microscope, and this is quite different from what is seen with our naked eyes. This is because this pair of human eyes create a false impression for you and prevent you from seeing these things. When one’s Celestial Eye30 (tianmu) is open, it can see things by magnifying them; it is actually a human instinctual capability that is now called a supernormal ability. If you want to develop supernormal abilities, you must return to your original, true self and go back through cultivation.

Let us talk about de. What specific connection does it have? We will analyze it in detail. As human beings, we have a body in each of numerous dimensions. When we examine the human body now, the largest elements are cells, and they comprise the physical human body. If you can enter the space between cells and molecules or the spaces among molecules, you will experience being in another dimension. What does that body’s form of existence resemble? Of course, you cannot use the concepts of this dimension to understand it, and your body must meet the requirement of that dimension’s form of existence. The body in another dimension can become big or small to begin with. At that time, you will find it also a boundless dimension. This refers to a simple form of other dimensions that exist simultaneously in the same place. Everyone has a specified body in each of many other dimensions. In a specified dimension there is a field that surrounds the human body. What kind of field is it? This field is the de that we have mentioned. De is a white substance and not, as we believed in the past, something spiritual or ideological—it absolutely has a kind of material existence. Thus, in the past, elders talked about accumulating or losing de, and they spoke very sensibly. This de forms a field that surrounds one’s body. In the past, the Tao School held that a master selects a disciple instead of a disciple choosing a master. What does it mean? A master would examine whether this disciple’s body carried a great amount of de. If this disciple had a lot of de, it would be easy for him to practice cultivation. Otherwise, he would not be able to make it easily, and he would have much difficulty developing gong toward high levels.

At the same time, there exists a black kind of substance that we call "karma" and Buddhism calls "sinful karma." These black and white substances exist simultaneously. What kind of relationship do these two substances have? We obtain that de through suffering, enduring setbacks, and doing good deeds; the black substance is accrued by committing bad deeds and doing wrong things or bullying people. Nowadays, some people are not only bent solely on profit, but they even go so far as committing all evils. They will do all kinds of evil things for money, and they will also commit murder, pay someone to kill, practice homosexuality, and abuse drugs. They do all kinds of things. One loses de when one commits wrongdoing. How does a person lose de? When a person swears at another, he thinks that he has gained the upper hand and feels good. There is a principle in this universe called "no loss, no gain." To gain, one has to lose. If you do not want to lose, you will be forced to lose. Who plays such a role? It is precisely the characteristic of the universe that assumes this role. Thus, it is impossible if you only wish to gain things. What will happen then? While swearing at or bullying another person, he is tossing de at this other person. Since the other person is the party that feels wronged and has lost something and suffered, he is compensated accordingly. While one person is here swearing, with this swearing, a piece of de from his own dimensional field leaves and goes to the other person. The more he swears at him, the more de he gives him. The same is true with beating up or bullying others. As one hits or kicks another person, one will give one’s de away according to how badly one beats up the other person. An everyday person cannot see this principle at this level. Feeling humiliated, he cannot put up with it and thinks, "Since you hit me, I’ve got to return the same." "Wham," he gives that person a punch back and returns de to him. Neither have gained or lost anything. He might think, "You have hit me once, so I should hit you twice. Otherwise, I won’t feel avenged." He will hit him again, and another piece of his de will be given away to the other person.

Why is this de valued so much? What kind of relationship is there in the transformation of de? Religions state: "With de, one will gain something in the next lifetime if not in this life." What will one gain? With a lot of de, one may become a high-ranking official or make a big fortune. One can obtain whatever one wants, and this is exchanged with such de. Religions also mention that if one does not have any de, both one’s body and soul will become extinct. One’s Primordial Spirit will be exterminated, and upon death one will be completely dead with nothing left. In our community of cultivators, however, we hold that de can be directly transformed into gong.

/Zhen-Shan-Ren is good(Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) is good, Falun Dafa is good.

i'm just wondering and mean no offense to anyone.
but, as far as the comments in this thread there seems to be 2 types.
those who expressed what they 'think'.
and those who express what they 'know' as factual info.
this seems to fall into a category of religious beliefs.
if there is no absolute proof, then isn't it just opinion?
personally, i tend to shy away from people who present things as proof based on opinion.
i wish i knew the answer to my question in the o.p.
in ways i'm anxious to find out.

Yea, we don't really have physical proof so to speak. But they are not just our imagination. To add to my above post, in the house my mother and her husband live in. There is something that resides in the upstairs part of the house. I've heard a very evil growling from a recorder they put upstairs along with the sound of a woman talking. Let's just say it was the creepiest thing I've ever heard. My mom's husband can communicate with the old couple that used to live in the house. He doesn't see them very often anymore though, when they first moved in it happened alot though. It seems like whatever's up there only comes out ( I don't know how to say this, but my mom said something about people with less than nice tendencies) For instance, my mom had a friend stay in the upstairs for a month or so. The growling and stuff showed up with him up there. However when our family is around and staying up there it doesn't happen. I've seen weird stuff happen personally, but nothing to the extent of evil sounding stuff. Doing any remodeling of the house really brings it out too, but just the old couple that used to live there.

I'm not claiming to have any answers, or that I know what happens. But I can't just write it off anymore, I've experienced too much to think it's part of my imagination anymore. I know this sounds crazy to people, but I have better things to do than make up stories like this.

i'm obviously a believer also, and can't explain anything i've witnessed since i was a child.
even as a teenager, we used to go exploring the area of bucks county, pa.
there were old farm housed we used to go to and scare our girlfriends.
creepy places.
one night when i was 16 or so we walked up to one of these houses.
run down and dilapidated. there was a light on in the window.
we looked inside and saw a number of hooded/ cloaked figures sitting around the table.
a friend of mine accidentally made a noise against the glass and the whole scene just vanished right in front of us.
poof, gone.
man, i think we broke some records running the half mile back to our cars.

I don't know... I'll create a thread after i'm dead to let everyone know

The only thing that I know for sure is what my heart tells me... My heart tells me that there is no Hell...that there is no punishment after death. If we didn't understand how powerful love and understand how to be positive for ourselves and everyone around us then I'm sure reincarnation will happen until we do. Until we are able to control the negatives around us and resist them. Anything is possible. The fact that we are all here blows my mind, life blows my mind, and gives me a reason to smile everyday. I'm just so thankful for all of this that if I die and nothing happens I just rot in the ground.. I'll be okay with that because I was lucky enough to have the experience of living. But in my heart I believe that there is something more and it isn't a bad thing, someone created us and everything around us and that thing is our teacher and light. It loves us...and wants us to grow and be who we were meant to be. Whatever that is. I'll find out when it's my turn to find out...and I'm okay with that. Until then..I'll embrace this opportunity and get all I can out of life. Take positives and knowledge out of every experience no matter how traumatic that experience is...and be ready for when it's my turn to pass.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to share our beliefs about the afterlife! S & F for you, my friend!

Edit: Oh no! I forgot to answer a few questions in your post I was too busy being that annoying positive kid that you want to kick in the face sometimes

I think Ghosts and spirits are a number of things. I don't think there is just one set rule of what they are. Here are my some of my theories of why there are ghosts and spirits:

- They are souls of humans who do not know they are dead or feel they are not ready to Pass...but they do not reincarnate because they have learned all they can in this stage.

- They are memories that are imprinted on this world or captured because of a strong emotion behind it. Also I think there is a theory bouncing around that residual hauntings are fueled by a certain type of rock. I forgot which kind..I'll look it up and get back with you on that...But I think it releases a lot of energy maybe because it's able to capture energy around it. I'm not sure...but I think if you were to put an EMF detector over this rock it would go crazy...but I'm not quite sure on the details of that theory.. again..I'll look it up and get back to you on it.

- They are types of negative entities put here to help make life difficult for us so that we are able to learn more.

- They are type of beings who are from another dimension who are able to travel to different dimensions if they are bored and maybe they like to pull pranks on us since they know we can't see us, or maybe even study us to see what we are like. (Why not? I know human scientists would be doing this if they could go to different dimensions)

Anyways, nothing is out of the realm of possibility...well...I'm sure there is something that is...but in my opinion...If it's possible that we are here and that we are doing what we are doing...anything is possible. But follow what you feel...believe what makes you happy, we'll find out when its our turn to find out.

I guess the Buddhist concept of "Samsara" should be included in this thread:

en.wikipedia.org...

I find Samsara a very reasonable theory, it makes perfect sense. If you accumulate alot of De(virtue) you will get lucky, if you even cultivate yourself in a righteous cultivation school you can reach the God realm(a heavenly layer). Even if a person ends up in hell it is not the end of it, he needs to pay off his karma debts down there and then he is reborn in another realm again.

Some people are very humble and pious by nature, and regarded as "stupid" in our modern society, in my world they are the most clever people there are, religions also claim it.

Being a hungry ghost seems more painful than most people imagine. It is said by someone that being reborn as an animal is a popular choice. Being a human is said to be terrifying to most beings since most of them end up..... On the other hand, being a human is your only chance to cultivate up to a God and go back home to the place you came from. As high as your original birth place is in this cosmos, is as high as you can cultivate up to. Everyone is different.

iv been close to death a few times in my life iv never had an nde though. i just remember being at my house one minute then in my undies in a hospital the next. that was a trip for me lol. / maybe when we die time slows down remarkably where we're in a dream like state for the few minutes that our brains still active which could produce an afterlife effect that lasts, but for how long idk? iv had a dream of a light at the end of a dark grey hallway. right before the light there was an opening for another hallway to the right. did it mean anything? that too idk.
