Excellent job Phage.

Now that you've experimented, are your theories still intact through your eyes?

Keep in mind, we may have an absolute answer, or we may forever be curious.

that was my impression to i thout thats the blokes tripod (camra what ever) and he is ducking in the bushes an they defenatly look like binoculars sorry bro

The sun is wrong to be reflecting off of binoculars that are facing the camera. Camo is of natural colors, browns, greens and minimal blacks, henceforth not white.

What Phage meant, is that we know at frame 2 it was there. But nothing more. It could have stayed 5s and then go away.

Now some pics iv made, maybee it helps people (sometimes it helps view it diferently)

Merge of 3 frames. Each turkey got a number that means in wich frame they were (i used frame 1 as main, thats why it shows his time).

Enhance.

Closer enhance.

Bird in flight. Has aspects of transparency due to camera's shutter rate.

I think the answer or a closer idea to the answer comes from that picture showing the red lines and shadows and from the post of someone else mentioning it could be a bird because it didn't scare the turkey's.

What i mean or what am trying to say is that this 'weird' objects shadow is the nearest to the camera (if you look at that picture with red line) therefore this 'weird' thing is close to the camera. I reckon then this has to be a bird because the turkeys wasn't spooked. I also think its a bird because its trying to slow down in mid flight with its wings flapping everywhere in order to slowdown which gives it that weird shape. but its also looking at the camera while its doing this, this is why you see the two yellow dots. Example...

However that picture is an example, it could be a different specie of bird and the quality of the OP's camera could of caused more blur. Another note, if its a smaller bird it will be flapping its wings faster thus creating more of a blur.

A question, OP is there any white birds in your area you know of?

I'm sorry OP. It took me a few posts to get what you were referring to. But what is so F'n (flying) about this? How about "Unidentified creature/object"
Why the "F" (flying)?

Man, UFOs are really taking a beating lately. I think everyone should be allotted, one UFO-reference per week from now on.

Maybe cryptozoologist Loren Coleman may be interested in this and could quickly identify this for you, assuming it's alive.

I think it could be an insect close to the camera but is more likely a bird a bit further away. I think it is well in front of the tall grass in the background. I think the odd appearance is a result of motion blur.

Unfortunately, ATS strips EXIF data from uploaded photos so various bits of information about the images (which would be helpful) cannot be determined.

Looking at your enhanced photos I am leaning more and more away from a natural object.
Great job.

We dont know if its flying. So, technically, its just an unidentified object.

And thanks. The brigest part of the object is really bright. Really pure white on middle. Only materials like metal could reflect that much, in such area. Not feathers for sure.

A puzzlement! However, as it is evident by the early replies, viewers cannot see what you are referring to in the photo you provided. I know you provided a link to the whole photo which shows the object or image you are referring to. You should have cropped the photo to show the unusual white object on the right side.

Also, you should have included that a game cam is an unattended device that is triggered by whatever enters into the activating field, so for those asking you questions (Did you approach the object? etc.) it would have cleared that up.

It is still an unusual catch for which I have no explanation, and I blowed it up good!

OP do you have any of these near you...

This hummingbird contains the colours white and the grey, the same you see in your picture.

yer but look were the shadows comeing from his left and he dose seem to be just in front of tree cover,
and if he was a good observer and he has a prity good set up he would make sure there was no reflection comeing from his binoculars, couse if there was eny flash any animal would run for there life

What is the shadow to the rear of the 'ufo' coming from?
Looks like it could be a tripod style feeder.

I must say if I saw that ufo, I would be very tempted to shoot it, dress it, skin it, roast it and eat it.

Looks like a turkey to me.

I don't see what you see but what about that gray shape in front of the white object that gives the appearance of an owl because the grey line separates the white into 2 "eyes"?

Mountian lion or wild dog hands down. Hard to tell with the slow shutter speed and over exposure/white blanance.

Phage's work does nothing of the sort. The main body of the white object is clearly in and behind behind the bushes. Phage has a bee (sic) in his bonnet about insects and geese, made a bit of a screw up up early in thread, as he has a habit of doing and is now attempting a save on his original slightly arrogant casual dismissal pf the picture.

Read my post again please.

It's not a UFO because it's not flying. It looks like an all weather proof camera to watch birds and animals 24/7, most probably for a documentary.

Those might not be eyes!

I took the liberty of using one of your ehanced photos to show something I believed was of interest.

If you simply stare at the object, you think that there actually two reflective eyes staring at you.

But using eddy_12's enhanced photo, i noticed that the eyes are actually one whole reflection cut in half by an apparent object infront of it. Though the object itself might seem transparent, you have to take into consideration the blowing up and pixelation incurred through the enhancement proccess.

I don't believe they are eyes at all.

Okay, now that I have looked at the whole photo by clicking the link, I see what you are talking about.

That is weird.
I am wondering if a dove may have been flying into the feeder when the camera snapped the photo? But the eye-like dots of light are hard to explain!

Well, at least it looks like you can have some turkey to eat for Thankgiving!

edit on 27-10-2010 by butcherguy because: repaired typo

Yes, the eye dots are what gets me the most about it. I have seen blurred pictures that looked like strange objects but this one is so smooth and perfectly shaped.

The "eye-like" dots are not hard to explain. The object in question is white. In front of the object but closer to the camera is a gray "frame" which has a thin line running down the middle. The thin line creates 2 white spaces that when the picture is pixelated as above, gives the appearance of eyes or as I called it, an owl. Not only is the white object a mystery but the gray "frame" also.
