Are you guys serious?

First, the "news" outlet Dateline Zero should hardly be considered as much. Based on other headlines and news stories, it does not appear to be a website that would report on actual news stories and would rather report on less serious topics and gag reel stories. Instead of researching the topic independently, the author has decided to copy and paste most of the story from the original website of the "Daily Record" and then conveniently add in his personal feelings at the bottom of the article.

Second, the original article has a few more facts in it, which are conveniently left out in the latter article, that shed a little more light on the incident although they both are obviously more motivated to painting the police in a bad light instead of impartially reporting the facts and allowing the reader to draw their own conclusion like respectable news agencies should. Neither article should be taken at face value because even if conclusive irrefutible evidence was uncovered which showed the officer's actions were justified, these "news" outlets would not take the time to print it because it does not fall into the image that they are trying to portray. Try to look at all the facts not highlighted, but still present, in either article.

These officers were CALLED to the bar meaning that a citizen had a problem with what was going on as well.

The incident occurred at a bar. This means that alcohol was involved. Alcohol intoxicates people which lowers inhibitions. Intoxicated people think and act irrationally sometimes.

The police state that two officers were struck by the vehicle. Police use deadly force when confronted by deadly force. Being struck by a vehicle can kill you so using deadly force in this situation is completely justified.

After reading the article, none of the suspects involved make the statement that it was false that two police officers were struck. The only people that make that argument was the father of a passenger in the vehicle and the family of the person shot. None of which were at the scene. Based on the overall attitude of the articles, I am certain that if any denials were made by people actually there, it would have been stated in the article.

The lawyer states towards the end of the article that there is a racial aspect to the incident because all the suspects were black and that police were white. She goes on to state that she does not know of any specific racial slurs or bias expressed or demonstrated. This should automatcally impeach the entire story. If no racial slurs were said or any other bias was expressed or demonstrated, then how could there be a racial aspect to it other than if you claim racism you will get points somehow.

Read up on the facts and then, with a LEVEL-HEAD, draw your own conclusion. These "news" outlets are known to highlight certain facts and mask others to illicit a certain response from people. Do not let them pull the wool over your eyes. Instead of making a knee-jerk reaction, demonstrate some intelligence and think rationally about the story. To some on this website this is a lot to ask but if you want to have an actual conversation about a topic it is necessary.
