I completely agree with you. I was just thinking the same. I wish there was more info on this though like how long it was there for ect.. The one in Virginia was up there for four hours. It would be interesting if this object did the same.

Well, it is interesting footage, I tend to stay away from the UFO forum, simply because most vids are quite frankly not that compelling to me, and usually by the time I get to the thread is turned into a monkey dodo war between the skeptics and the believers of such. What I tend to look at mainly is the psychological effects of the person holding the camera. Seeing strange unexplainable things in the sky usually effects people to the hard core, so that usually helps me determine what interesting or not. I did not read thru all the the reply's but if you listen closely to the video you can hear a jet engine, I am no expert but it does not sound commercial, in addition the object's maneuvers were interesting. It is very hard to come to a conclusion yet with the little bit of footage associated with the so called event "UFO" seems a bit suspicious considering if I was witnessing such an event I would be doing everything I could to keep recording, considering the value of such. Since the length of the footage is short, it would be easy to fake. In addition the setting is another oddity Washington DC. Yet at the same time their seems to appear a disdained form of sincerity in the video. Another thing that strikes me odd is the colors are blue, yet their is a similarity, comparing this footage to other primitive vids its pretty good, the contrast shows the silhouette of the horizon, and it is apparent it is in the sky, and not in a lab. If its a fake, its pretty good. Also I think logically sending copters to investigate the object would be more logical to sending the fighters in since the civilians would def. take more notice to fighter jets then helicopters. Another thing that concerns me is wouldn't their be more witnesses to this? This guy is the only one who saw this? Considering its suppose to be Washington DC? I hope perhaps some members can do some digging on this one. One would think more then a man and his old lady would have witnessed this. Also noticed the neighborhood was quiet, no dogs barking noticing the disturbance either.

OK I'm home, I've downloaded the HD vid from youtube, played it forwards, backwards, inverted, slowly quickly and here is my opinion......................

The blue flashing lights, to me, look a lot closer than the "helicopters", they also do not seem to have any interest in the lights, they just happen to be in the background at that moment. I don't think it it a kite as its movement would probably be a bit more erratic, however I'm not excluding the possibility, I'm swaying however towards a RC helicopter as it seems to be doing turns, but maintaining a steady hover

Why are you bugging me? If the helicopters are circling the object it looks larger than the helicopters. Which would make it fairly large and not just an orb or something. Now stop bugging me and give us some opinion from you.

Predator0187.....

Why are you bugging me?

I don't know why you feel I am "bugging" you.

What is it about a perfectly reasonable & logical question that is "bugging" you?

If the helicopters are circling the object

Exactly....."if the helicopters are circling the object".

Are they doing that?

it looks larger than the helicopters.

I don't believe one can say that because I don't believe one can know how far away the "object" is.

Which would make it fairly large

"Which would make it fairly large" if the "object" is distant enough away so as to ensure the apparent size of the "object" in the video is consistent with the "object" being "fairly large".

and not just an orb or something.

How big do you think "an orb or something" is?

Also.....please define "orb or something".

Now stop bugging me

As per my earlier commentary.....

I don't know why you feel I am "bugging" you.

What is it about a perfectly reasonable & logical question that is "bugging" you?

and give us some opinion from you.

I don't believe it is possible to "give" "some opinion" without further information.

Hence.....my questions.

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

How can you agree with him if you don't know exactly how far away he is from you?

......cool video though, I will be checking back to this throughout the day. It probably isn't all that hard to make some sort of kite with blue lights on it. So it would be nice to know exactly how big it was to rule out the whole home made craft. Hopefully more info comes out throughout today.

I've been somewhat objective all my life, but one can't be naive to the fact that we can't be the only species in this vast universe. With that said, this video, which is obviously not tampered with by our government, is rather compelling. And with the obvious helicopters on the scene makes it more interesting. Regardless of size like some of the other "posters" put, its nothing I've ever seen. WOW good video for the most part, just wish the camera would focus!

I was refering to maybe maybe not being annoying, christ, i've only just signed up and his holier than thou attitude is annoying me.

The video will never be conclusive, if it is a kite, its difficult to tell how far away exactly it is.

If the helicopters really are circling the object then surely it would've been big enough for someone else to notice & photograph or film it.

Skeptics are never going to be happy until a UFO lands on their backyard and aliens says HI.

I enjoy all this finds, and how people try to debunked over and over.

Sometimes it is what it is a UFO

How right you are, its a UFO, an Unidentified Flying Object, because it's an object, nobody can identify it, and, it's flying

With the amount of hoaxes, chinese lanterns, blimps, weird human craft and flying spaghetti monsters out there it helps to be a little skeptical, rather than jump up and down like an idiot, waving arms frantically and swallowing all the evidence as true.

I want E.T.'s to introduce themselves in my lifetime, if they are out there and have the capability to reach us, but you have to take all the vids // pics // reports with a pinch of salt, you have to analyze everything, once you have removed all the possibilites and are still left with a mystery then you have a genuine UFO, maybe just not the out of this world type, or maybe it is.....but it will still be a mystery.

Dear Maybe...maybe not

I hugely enjoy reading your posts, however sometimes you come across like a forum bot.
For example:

"Why are you bugging me?"

"I don't know why you feel I am "bugging" you."

Its funny and I wish you to continue it.

All the best

That's the trouble in a way, people nowadays need more proof.

Back in the 70s/ 80s you could show someone a photograph on TV of a "supposed" ghost or UFO and they would be shocked and awed, and there would be little to no debunking just pure excitement

Nowadays, people debunk right away, people by nature are more "Suspicious" than they used to be, hardly any trust these days. it's become the norm. If you were to show someone a picture of a ghost, they would be testing for double exposure, damaged film etc.

People want to see for themselves, they want 100% proof of an alien on the porch sipping tea, before they believe it, and even then they would probably prod and poke the thing until they could be sure it wasn't a hologram, suit, prosthetics, they were drugged lol

Did anyone notice that you can hear an airplane in the back ground? In my opinion it's a military aircraft with choppers being there for support.

I'm starting to believe that if they are "alien" they use the light flashes as some sort of language between them and whoever there trying to convey their message to.. Hopefully someone there understands what their trying to say.. It's sure seems there has been ALOT of activity in the skies lately.. I heard recently there is a Vegas Casino with book makers giving anyone 100/1 odds for President Obama to come out and say we have been visited by an Alien species... Might not be a bad idea to throw 50 bucks at that shot.. I think your bet is good for 1 year. Five grand would be nice.

I didn't notice the aircraft noise you speak of, but you do make a valid argument. It very well could have been military. I do know, after living in Nevada for over 20 years, when people saw a shadow of dark image of a "flying wing" overhead, they were quick to call it a UFO, sadly however, a few years later, it was disclosed to the public that the "flying wing", or "dark object" that was spotted overhead was simply the stealth bomber! LOL

Approximately at 0:35, you can see the 'object' moves to the lower left corner, while the other lights remain stationary, i believe that's a very good sign that this is not an object flying out there, when the blue light or object moves to the left corner, he immediately shakes the camera and does a close up and we loose the object for a moment, then we see it again and it is at a different position than before, actually it moves very close to the light that appears to be a helicopter, but the movement is random, you can see that at 0:35, look very close, that's not a movement that an object that far could do and it doesn't seem realistic at all, looks like it is a light inside the room reflected on the window.

But who knows, that's what i see, i may be off, or not..

Oh dude its totally sky divers! Now I can go on with my valueless life.

No but really.... Very strange. Now I wonder, why would any UFO, extraterrestrial of not, have more than just eye catching, brilliant blue lights flashing maniacally on its sides?

When I was really young and first looking at UFOs, I was always assumed they tried not to let people see them, but it must be very easy for them to do that, so they obviously have some objective here with being seen.

I fear that many people who have nothing to do with themselves might start taking advantage of all the UFO craze and start faking # to get attention sometimes. So I am actually pretty skeptical, but it doesn't effect the fact that real UFOs(non-human) are making their debuts.
