Ok i know im taking a long shot here.. this post will probably be closed. say all the posts about 2012. I'm chosing to tackle the topic from another angle.Give me a chance and hear me out.

My Thread is on the impact that the 2012 theory has on your life now. and at that time.
For a scholar such as myself the idea of the world ending in 2012 is so confusing... im only 17 now. and in two years time i will be 19. If life goes my way. I would be just finishing 2 years of studying to become an IT Networking Technician...I would be on holiday.. If the event would happen at that time. I would have missed out on my destiny in life firstly.. and secondly.. a chance to age and create a new family.. With this concept i feel so skeptical about the future. There really are so many things that could go wrong and end the world as we know it in 2012..Now thats what would happen in my case..

the way im thinking is.. If i carry on.. doing what im supposed to.. study till 2012.. and the end comes.*What a waste!?*...

What are your future plans before 2012 .. and are you considering 2012 in the back of your mind..
For the aged.. it would'nt be a problem because they have completed their basic tasks within their given lives..

My suggestion, is to not worry about 2012. There is no guarantee that you won't be hit by a bus tomorrow, let alone live till 2012. Life is what you make of it. Living in the moment is not the be all and end all, you should plan for the future, because, it hasn't happened yet. The 2012 doomsday scenario may not even happen. So don't waste your life by not carrying through with plans you have, just in case.

I'm sure December 2012 will roll by, and then will come January of 2013, the earth will keep on turning. If you are concerned about wasting your life, try going down a career that will help other people, so that at the end of your life you can look back and say, hey, I made a difference.

Continue living your everyday life even when 2012 comes.
It will be another day with nothing ending or being destroyed or
life being over with. It is just another day, so continue living
a normal life. It is only the end of the Mayan calendar. Nothing
to get upset over.

So everyone so far doesn't believe its going to happen.. hmmm..
Well. At least theres something to look forward to again.
I will carry on with my life. Like i always do. Dominate what i must
And as a bonus. get to see the final outcome of the whole *2012 saga*
You know when its passed.. there will probably be another prediction. ..I realize thats no way to carry on. jumping from artificial dangers. Hopefully. Thanks for your input.

PS. when 2012 passes. there wont be a 2012 subject in ATS . LOL

Theres no way you can drop everything you've been working for just because of the whole 2012 scene, after all you still have to eat, and 2012 was made out to be doom and gloom in the movie, (thats the movie), and thats what they want you to believe. In reality i believe there is a consiousness shift occuring in more and more people which should peak around 2012 with all the hype around the matter, maybe thats how you stumbled upon this issue and investigated it?

There are big changes ahead, i can feel it, but good will come out of it. and at the end of the day were all in the same boat, we all have a responsability for our collective future. we are all one.

I heard a quote somewhere that said, "Live like you're going to die tomorrow. Learn like you're going to live forever". Hope that helps.

Hey No - - - this is a Fantastic subject. I was just thinking about this today.

I know not every one believes in communication from "guides" or whatever. But I've just always experienced that.

The message I get is: You were put her for a reason. You were not put here to sit in fear waiting for something to happen. If you don't live every day stuff - - then you are not doing what you are supposed to be doing - - - you are not living the reason you are here.

Well here is the catch 22 from my perspective....

Not that 2012 means anything because it doesn't, it just happens to be the date.

If your life isn't being drastically changed by harmony right now, and your path is not illuminating itself for you, then you need to reassess your goals. If you think that you are going to lead a normal life, with the same goals, the same daily practices, and all of a sudden become some enlightened traveler with the fruit of the spirit. You are wrong. If you are not making any changes right now, then when we

rewrite the mith, and begin a new story........

Late Night ATS Member

If you believe the 2012 hype then go ahead and quit school and become a bum. What are you going to do when nothing happens on the prophesied date?

At 17 years old what qualifies you to say there would be no problem for the aged if we had a bad situation in 2012?

Life gets more precious as time goes by.

Some time in the future you will, hopefully, realize how ignorant you are and then you will start gaining knowledge.

I took the liberty of correcting your spelling in the quote I used from your original post.

What i seem to be noticing from the replies is that everyone is giving me advice about what i should do. I made this 2012 topic very wide ranged in the fact that i was asking the fellow ATS members their opinion on what they felt. And in their personal lives how they would continue and where they are at the moment.

I didn't mean to be ignorant about the *aged* sentence i wrote
I was just doing a simple comparison to the ages.

A child still learning basic skills to continue with life
A teen having only finished school or still in school.
A Young man just starting his job or working for quite some time
The Older Person having worked for years. having a family.
The Aged or Gran parents nearly completed with their life on Earth.

I was hoping your replies would go along these guidelines so i could make a conclusion as to where most people fall within this Fourm.

I won't quit school.. turn into a Bum as one person said..I will carry on with what i feel i was meant to do on this planet..And in the time if 2012 happens. so be it.

its a bit like saying drive 5 mile down the road knowing theres a cliff at 3 miles. lemmings.
2012 is not the end of the world, its end of the world as we all know it.
No more raping the planet no more human destruction, no more starvation and people living in poverty and no more massive divides between rich and poor. All religions may come together because by then the truth will be revealed and those that have manipulated life for the last 60 years will be the ones where the world ends, their world ends. We will all find it hard for sure.
Have faith, follow your instincts feel and know what is really right and wrong. Have faith and trust in God i assure you all that all will be revealed. He will return and soon.
you see while hes been away the kids have been playing with the matches.

Hi, DoG,

S&F.

Here is what I know.

Your generation is being told blah blah blah. Just get on and live your life as you want to live it!

None of us know what is going to happen. As long as you are true to yourself, kind to people and animals, I think you will be OK.

Good luck!

(as she will be that age in Dec 2010) and hopefully do a course to further my photography skills

Very well said jazz01 i like the image you brought up where God is our father. we are his Sons. and we were playing with matches. created by the Sons in the first place.

OP I think you raise a perfectly valid point. As one of 'the aged', I face life from the opposite side. And yes it does matter to me - just in a different way. I worked hard all my life and it would be just be nice to have some 'me time' before my end - however it happens. So yes it is a daily consideration when to pack up work.
But also how to spend what little cash I have. You see, you can take this debate to any level. If I thought the world was going to end next week, why not blow it all? Why not go into massive debt? Hey that credit card bill will NEVER have to be paid! Or do I spend it all on survival gear?
And actually, to say 'live each day like it is your last' is not helpful at all. If we knew, absolutely, that today was our last day, we would be presumably doing something different than studying, working or whatever.
So I can't answer your post I'm afraid. The doomsday Mayan date may well be a fiction. But things don't look good from where I stand..

I think we can conclude by saying. No matter what we think and do.

Only time will tell.
Time to find out the truth in 21 December 2012..
Its going to be a very interesting day indeed

im 21 i stumbled across the ufo issue about 9 months ago and havent looked back since, theres too much to get your head around especially when you first start to believe the issue, it then led to research about the 2012 scenario which i think must have something to it, i mean theres just too many researchers coming up the same road about it. and i think more and more people will start to realise that there are 2 realities going on, also 2012 aint gonna stop the world, thats the solar flares job, but its the start of something new, the end of a cycle and a new ones begins, completely as the universe wants i guess. we will see the years pass on after it but who knows what lies there.

There is nothing special about 2012. Please carry on in your life as you would expect to be around for a long time. Worst case scenario is I'm wrong, but between now and then you have lived a full life.

Your only 17. I was older than that in the late 1990s. A million predictions came out for Y2K. You know what happened......nothing.
