Orange-light what beautiful pictures, most of them could have been taken right here the Detroit, Michigan area, they look so similar, many trees that grow here and in the Eastern part the United States were brought over from Germany. You live in such a beautiful area in Germany. There is a little city on the Rhine that I love called Bopart. You can take a lift up the mountain and see the Rhine River for miles either way. It is south of Koblenz.

Thank you so much for posting them.

This is picture of a house here in Royal Oak, Michigan that I used to own..

sometime later i am going to post pictures of the sauerland, where i was born

the house area of michigan reminds me of frohnau, a part of the borough where i live
don.t have any pictures of that area, but i am planning to take some this year

The Romantic Road (German: Romantische Straße) is the term for a theme route coined by travel agents in the 1950s to describe the stretch of highway in southern Germany (in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg), between Würzburg and Füssen. This region is thought by many international travellers to possess "quintessentially" German scenery and culture, specifically in towns and cities such as Nördlingen, Dinkelsbühl and Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The route is also known for passing by the famous Neuschwanstein Castle.

Orange have you ever taken this trip along the Romantische Straße from Wuizbur and Füssen, I have taken it twice and what amazing cities and towns along that route, the Castles that we toured were beautiful. We stayed at private homes for very little money, people had signs in their windows for a place to stay, that was also a lot of fun.

The red line on the map of Germany is the Romantische Straße, on both trips we continued on to Austria. I especially liked Rothenburg, an amazing history there and is still in the process of being rebuilt as it was virtually destroyed during the war.

Another amazing place we visited was Trier on the Mosel.

when you look at the map you have posted aquarius you will find that berlin is north-northeast - the little circle close to poland

originally i am from northrhine-westfalia - the heartshaped county in the west

i have never traveled the romantic road so far, but i have been at the lake Constance - my sister lives there, in Munich, Chiemsee, Neuschwanenstein Castle, Salzburg – but that.s Austria.

Cologne and Bonn on the West was part of my traveling,
Trier for sure and the Eifel.

In the North i have been to east frisia - huge fan - hamburg, hannover, esens, münster, schleswig-holstein, and berlin, potsdam, greifswald, usedom.

You live in a beautiful city. I am sorely tempted to do the same for my own city, now, because I don't like living here, and maybe seeing its beauty would help me enjoy my time here. Germany is one of the countries I would love to visit, my dad was there in the army and he enjoyed it, said the food was good, lol.

Thank you for sharing those pictures!

thank you for your kind words hotbakedtater

when i use to live in the sauerland i never realized how beautiful that little town was.
this year i have been there again, and took my camera with me
amazing the beauty of the area
i was overwhealmed

so maybe it is a good idea to take some shots of your home area and share them.
even if you think they are not beautiful, some people will enjoy them for sure!
