Us on ATS may be ready because were all waiting, but for the general public, i think would not be ready. I would have to think it would cause mass hysteria in the general population. Everybody's religions and, beliefs would be thrown out the window. maybe wrong but just an idea

Mankind is unprepared to handle disclosure? They have been saying that since
the 1920 and 30's. Remember the War of the worlds radio broadcast? Like
I said, TPTB are afraid they will lose their status and priviliges not to mention

well methinks we as a whole could be more ready than we realize look at how fast those of us in just america and how many have adopted new beliefs [kaballah] for example and new technologies the [wii,iphones and ipads and gps cars]. honestly all they need is great marketing team,lol

I doubt the aliens care much about the ordinary human. They will likely respect those in power simply because they are in power, not considering how they got there or how they maintain power.

If anything these aliens are very practical and not interested in changing things to suite anybody but themselves, therefore I am sure they don’t give a dam about the response but will do just what they want to do based on their own agenda.

Likely that agenda revolves around the fact that humans—with their activities such as pollution and nuclear proliferation—are now a threat to the cosmos therefore a cosmic police action of some sort has been underway since World War II to monitor, and or eliminate, the threat of nuclear holocaust in the neighboring cosmos.

These aliens or greys [the bug eyed creatures we are now all familiar with] are likely robotic drones, perfect for interaction with humans since they have very little human attractive features that would literally have humans desiring sex with them if they were appealing and weren’t so ugly.

The real Aliens behind these greys are something we don’t know anything about.

I dont like how she is reading her responses... You would think with a person so smart, she shouldnt have to write down her answers... I think, her responses were writen by someone else and given to her to read.... This poor lady doesnt know what shes getting herself into... I think they just picked her name out of a hat honestly... If there is first contact and these beings have some kind of bacteria or virus... since she is designated rep, she would be the first to contract such things .... hmmmmm intresting!

I think most of mankind is ready for disclosure. America loves a freak show and to help pay down the debt have only one alien go along with the freak show at all the county and state fairs across the country and have people pay to see the alien and hear the alien communicate thru what ever means or method.

This would keep the individuals that are not ready for contact from having to see the alien like pay per view. ^Y^

Actually, she did not say the UN "is poorly prepared for UFO disclosure". She said that the member states of the UN have no specific protocols in the event that evidence of extraterrestrial life (intelligent or otherwise) is found. "Disclosure" has nothing to do with it and the word was not mentioned.

In response to an inquiry of whether or not the United Nations had in place a mechanism for such coordination, she said that the Organization had platforms for any kind of discussions that would affect humanity as a whole, including extraterrestrial life. That included extraterrestrial intelligence and was “logically one of the many mechanisms and avenues for such discussions”. The Committee had in 1977 discussed for a year strategies in interacting with such life or intelligence but the matter had fallen by the wayside and had not been brought up again. When pressed on whether or not the United Nations should be doing more to prepare for such an interaction, she reminded those present that such decisions were up to Member States.

Her comment "we are many years away from having a plan on the ready" (it does not seem to be a direct quote, or I missed it) was not about ET, it was in reference to the UN dealing with near Earth objects (asteroids). Listen at 17 minutes.

She also clarified her role at the Royal Society meeting.

Of course, if it's too much trouble to listen to what she actually said go ahead and believe what the UFO blogs are saying she said.

I would agree, many of us in ATS simply cannot wait! But, sadly, many will be distraught, especially those who are fundamental about the Bible and religion, for those it will come hard to know who their real creators are, and when they get to meet those who were called "Gods" back then, when they were here before.
Big business will be hit hard too, as will bankers and the rich elite, all of their power will be gone, forever. I know it is simply a matter of time before they uncloak and show themselves to us all, but I fear that some will lose their minds.
