No disrespect intended but I have 7 friends who are all enlisting in January because of the pay. I would strongly argue with you about the fact that people don't join for the money. I know that's not why you're supposed to join, but when an agency waves that type of money in front of groups of people who wouldn't be able to get it otherwise, along with paying for college educations, it's pretty obvious that a lot of people are gonna join for money...

You probably want there to be a war, but there won't be. The war between the states is over. Republicans and Democrats have political wars all the time, it's one thing that keeps this country great, it's something an outsider wouldn't understand.
