I'm gonna copy pasta my reply to the CA 10-10-2010 sighting in this thread because it applies just as much:

RC planes do not hover. They have a trajectory. VTOLs can hover, or helicopters, but not RC airplanes like is shown in the video. Planes, human scale or toy scale, cannot explain the *hovering* behavior in the video.

The hovering is the only strange thing in my opinion. LED lights are plentiful these days, and cheap to make very intricate designs with. PLC boards are cheap too, and you can make really neat patterns of flashing lights with them. The thing that throws me off is the video that has the cops and "men in black" arresting somebody for flying an RC airplane. It shows an RC plane on the ground w/ green light (didn't see any green lights on the supposed UFOs), and the UFO is still *hovering* in place.

It could be an RC helicopter or RC VTOL, but its not the arrested person who is piloting it, and its not an RC plane, and it's certainly not the RC plane that is sitting by the cop car (which might have been even brought as a coverup cause they're not sure what it really is).

Not sure if anyone suggested this, but on his maps app, you can actually get it to show you which way you're facing. So if you guys manage to take a daytime vid, see if he can use his maps app to show you which way you're facing. I was surprised when I found that out because it's pretty accurate...

hey guys im the roommate of the guy who posted this video. hes uploading a couple other videos right now on youtube of the same incident last night. we were pretty gone when it happened so give us a break on the commentary, but trust me, it happened. we dont have the time or the brain cells to hatch a scheme to fake an alien video, we just wanted to see if other people saw it or not. look on reperez11 on youtube for the new videos, theyll be up soon.

I'm gonna say this in the defense of these people and the ridiculous debunk that they don't sound believable:
If you are comparing them to - lets say - your favorite 'reality tv show' then you are the one that doesn't know reality from fiction. All reality shows are faked so all of their reactions are fake as well. You don't have a casting call for something that is really happening!
So if you are looking for Hollywood reactions, then you need to debunk yourselves.

Hmm...Looks like RC chopper, smells like rc chopper...
Reasoning..The light source never goes away, if it was a plane at some point the way it looked would change but a chopper would be pretty much viewed by every angle bar beneath.
Shame they never decided to go closer to them...

Mclaneinc.....

I agree the resemblance to an R/C H/C filmed from a distance is also very strong.

As you say, it's a pity the witness did not obtain video footage from a position closer to the object.

Kind regards

True but, what about the other 4 videos showing the exact same phenomena filmed on the same day? It would be a very very big coincidence that people in 4 different cities were fooled by LED kites on the same day.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was a coordinated effort for people to fly RC kites all on the same night, especially on 10-10-10. That's something any fun-loving forum community would love to do, like the reddit people or slashdot people or any random forum. I would be especially unsurprised if it was a bunch of UFO debunkers purposefully creating fake sightings.

edit: However, what WOULD be really surprising, is if that many people in various areas across the country all went out and spent a ton of $$ on RC helicopters to fly at night and risk the destruction of, as well as getting arrested...

What we have here, is a bunch of hobby RC aircraft pilots flying at night. The witnesses, being drunk and on drugs with compromised senses and thought, mistakenly thought they were looking at UFOs and literally "tripped out" on the lights like if they were at a rave.

If I had a dollar for every time I have seen a drunk and high person trip out on something mundane and wonder what they are looking at...

I could have done without the dialogue and the call to "Mom".

Having seen a UFO myself that was definitely not just a "light in the sky" and moved like no normal aircraft I've ever seen before or sinse--and I've seen a lot of them, both miltary and civilian--I'm very open-minded and quite sure aliens are visiting earth.

I can say that these were not balloons, stars, Venus, helicopters or normal aircraft. That seems clear enough. I don't know about whether it was some kind of fake image, although those are easy enough to do.

They looked like they were fairly close to the observers and that they were very small objects--or lights of some kind. The way they jumped up and down and changed colors was interesting. Beyond that, I don't know what they might be.

That is not entirely correct...

They call it "helicoptering";

So whoever said that is not quite educated about the RC hobby.

Now, here is why it is illegal to fly RC aircraft in certain places:

I have tripped many, many times, and done many many drugs many many times. Somebody who is tripping or high or wasted or whatever is certainly likely to appear to "trip out" to the outside observer. And they definitely are "tripping out", but part of "tripping out" is that any hallucinations you might experience are not true hallucinations. A true hallucination is an alteration in reality so complete and convincing that you don't realize it isn't real. The only drugs known to cause true hallucinations are the deliriants, like atropine/scopalomine/datura/jimson weed, and almost nobody takes those for fun. My point is, its easy to take drugs and see things differently, but unless you have taken far more than you can handle and are catatonic/delirious, you will be able to differentiate between reality and non-reality. In fact, I would be far more likely to dismiss an actual UFO sighting/encounter if I was tripping because I would know that part of the experience is alterations to sense objects.

There is a huge difference in a tripper getting really focused in on something, a leaf or bug or their hand or LED lights or smoke, and getting a huge kick out of it, and seeing something and thinking its real.

Plus this is video footage, lol... Drugs don't get your video cam high.

Looks legit, people that are skeptical of things like this, you really need to take 2 hours and just look up in the sky at night. If you see something strange and take a video of it, wouldn't you be all like "But I saw IT!!!! I really really did!". Just because it's a video on the internet, and shows to moving lights moving in different directions, doesn't rule out that it may not be a UFO.... oh wait it is a UFO... Because U.F.O. STANDS FOR UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT. And I'm pretty sure it's an object, in flight, that's unidentified. Cool video, oh I'm an alien btw.

You should check out first person RC flying... it's so awesome.

The pilot of this helicopter has video glasses connected to the wireless camera on his helicopter, and flies it in real time:

What an awesome experience.

Just a bunch of foul mouthed kids and a couple of nondescript points of light. Could be anything. In no way does this video prove anything other than how kids these days are a bunch of punks. I'm not a skeptic but the entire odd light thing gets very old.

Gift0fpr0phecy.....

Another hoax for the hoax bin. RC guy got busted, and witnesses got it on camera.

Everyone who doubted it was an RC toy should take note of the reality check that just happened

Hopefully, this case will encourage members to keep a cool head & look at all of the available info.

Very cool, I had no idea. Thanks for the info. Can you hover the plane at a higher altitude? Say, 50 to 100 feet in the air? Or higher? And I totally see why it's illegal now xD SO can anybody find out if it's actually illegal to fly RC planes/helicopters/VTOLs in wherever that guy got arrested?

The hovering is very cool and looks pretty convincing, though I must say, if the videos in question are of RC planes, whoever was piloting them must have been very skilled and able to adjust for wind with impeccable accuracy, as those objects were significantly higher than horizon, and wind gets more intense the higher you are hovering...

I don't think you understood me.

These witnesses, if they were sober, probably would have been able to identify what these lights were. They probably wouldn't have been as amazed as they were. They probably would have been smart enough to get a better look, or to figure it out. Instead, they did what you would expect from a person on drugs.... just sit there and wonder in amazement. If their judgement was better, we probably wouldn't have even seen these videos because they would have found out it's just RC aircraft.

Yes we see video of RC aircraft... but people are being fooled into thinking they are aliens from outer space or secret government aircraft because these drugged up witnesses had compromised senses.

I actually stopped by a hobby store today and talked to a guy about the RC helicopters I saw on display. He told me the range on most modern rc helicopters is "out of sight" or two miles.

I bought a cheap electric 4 CH helicopter (to learn with) and I am glad I did. The first flight - it disappeared. I am still looking for it

Does anyone else's video slightly skip at around 1.08 before the second UFO reappears. Thought it might be my load time but still does it once the video is completely downloaded. Maybe edited, maybe the camera couldn't keep up, I don't know much about these sorts of things just seems odd.
