"The problem is that there is no such thing as astral projection nor remote viewing. They don't exist and are mearly the product of over-active imaginations."

How can you say that, when the military invests in spys who have trained themselves to do this?

After reading your 'signature'

I just happen to be of the opinion that the world is pretty safe and there are waaaay too many clinically paranoid/delusional people in the world.

your comments,
and combined with the fact that you are on a conspiracy site,
kinda makes me wonder what you are actually contributing here.

these things say a lot about you.

But, if being a skeptic means having an uncontrollable urge to go around trying to tell everyone they are wrong and you are right....

whatever floats your boat

Yes so true on many levels we are what we believe and see that we are, though you never know just how you look through other peoples eyes, much less other... creatures, but mostly we wish to be what we are not....But as above and so bellow..... we are a choice, a beginning, a middle, and an end, that leads to another beginning, once you see any patern in anything be it small or big, you see that same base patern in everything if you but dare look. This world we all share, we believe it's real because we all on many levels relate to paterns that we experienced in interpretation's of energy, be it the physical world of matter, or the world of no matter ie thought and Conscience even the duality of everything, good or bad, positive or negative, even the knowledge of good and evil.... does any of that really matter? Not in the world of matter, as some scientists will say.
We are more then just stuff called matter, whether you think your made of meat or atoms, on any stage of live, the more we see, the more we know, and the more we experience, it will always = the more we define reality. All languages say the same thing, by different means, it's all energy.

Not everything we believe about reality is BS. Study some science and math. Don't just quote scientists as though they are authorities like "science fanatics" do, actually read the reasoning and research behind the ideas.

Great thread, although I'd let go of the whole virtual reality-theory. I'd rather say that some people are trying to "distort" the reality. Can a human being actually perceive reality as it is? I guess not. We may simply see only a part of the reality (actually, proven by science).

The reality cannot be hidden.

Oh yeah, reality is completely subjective, depending on the observer.

Great thread! S+F.
I can find nothing but agreement O.P.

According to your basis as to what you define as reality. Which is exactly what he was talking about.

I encourage anyone QUESTIONING these things, and curious for answers, to explore your own consciousness, at every chance you get: Things such as meditation, Astral projection, remote viewing, etc., will help you experience the deeper nature of what you are. More importantly, these exersizes and explorations give you direct experience of things, rather than relying on others to tell you, or shape your view on things. Remember---NO ONE KNOWS MORE THAN >>YOU

How can reality be completely subjective? Even if you conceded that empirical data is subjective, there is still the entire rational word. What about justice or morality or mathematical principles? If we hold all these things to be subjective then there's no reasonable point of having conversations such as these at all.

Ah. But the problem with the interpretation as to what that little mark that means 1 means is subjective. :p Just an example.

Well, you don't objectively exist, so stop correcting me.

Of course not. But I shant stop because of that.
Sorry.
I just find it funny that people try to hide behind something like that when justifying their interpretation of the implications of something. Which is in a nutshell taking their subjective opinion and calling it objective fact.

You want to experience a different reality, go live in another country. Many of us have multiple cultural backgrounds and the idea of multiple realities isn't new. In fact, it is given.

Nothing really special about your life I am afraid. You are just like millions of others doing the same thing over and over over the course of couple of decades and you believe you are enlightened. Until one day you are confronted with a true enlightened individual that would crack and shatter your world......

I never claimed to "enlightened" only educated. I'm a realist and prefer to spend my time enjoying the real world instead of convincing myself that I'm capable of the superhuman feats like remote viewing or astral projection. People who get off on that kind of stuff are going to be sorely dissapointed in their later life at all the time they wasted trying to achieve a state of enlightenment when they realize all the living they missed out on. You keep sitting in your rooms with legs crossed, eyes closed, humming and I'll be down at the bar with my wife and friends laughing it up.

Yes, just like millions of others doing the same thing. When the time you have to "go," pass away," your wife is gone. Your kids are all grown up and doing their things. You begin to wonder other wonders of the world. Unfortunately, you are already in your old age. I do hope you will live that long and won't end up dealing with illness and personal tragedies. You will never know when the reality will strike and shattering the world you come to know.
Where and who you will turn? Not the spirit world, maybe anti-depressen drugs. Our world is very complex and good and bad spirits are everywhere. Just when you are the least expected........

That is a fair enough viewpoint on life. We all have a different path to walk.

My only interest is in making sure you at least are aware of the truth while you are at the pub with the wife.

Did you read my previous reply to you?

Well said DD

I agree completely with what you said in the OP.

Everything that we perceive as reality is simply our brain processing information obtained from sensual input.

Everything that we are told to believe and are taught to believe is controlled and thought up by a very small amount of people.

In schools, children are taught to memorize and repeat instead of question.

I honestly think that it is up to family and community to effect change in the world- for the moment, people are entirely reliant on the establishment and media to tell them how to act, behave, and think. If people were to be cut off from government and media for at least a generation, I think things would change... a lot!

I can take you to a place that will shake the very foundations of your narrow little world.
Everyone I've taken there has never been the same after their experiences in the valley.
And the flyfishing is world class.

Are you Game for the Change?
