Fair call, seriously. However guilty of ... ? Yes using civilians as human shields. And yes I know that the Palestinians have done and so the same.

If the tables were turned and it was an Israeli boy or girl, 9, 11 or 12 years old - you can bet on the following: we'd have his name, his favourite ice cream, his crying Mother talking about his ambitions......

S&F, though not because I'm happy with the news. I often hear Israel apologists claim the same with Hamas, though they fail to produce any kind of proof for such a claim. It's usually just a propaganda tactic to demonize Hamas, a group that was founded and is chartered for the purpose of helping the Palestinian people. With that being said, I have heard of IDF soldiers using Palestinian children as shields on several different occasions. Now, with this story, I can cite it when I hear people claiming that it is Hamas, who uses the children as shields.

What is really a shame, is that we even have to argue about children being used as shields at all. How ridiculous is such a notion? Just the fact that anyone is doing it, is indicative of how harsh and dire the situation is.

To play devil's advocate, just because these soldiers were convicted, doesn't necessarily mean that they were guilty. People are falsely convicted all the time and Israel is famous for creating fall guys to take the heat off the bigger picture and relieve some PR pressure. These convicted soldiers could just as easily be the fall guys in some political game, though I have no doubt that IDF sodliers use children as shields, as there is nothing to make me think otherwise. Many Zionists don't even see the Palestinians as human beings or equal in god's eyes. They often see these people as worse than animals and treat them as such. With that attitude, why wouldn't they use the children as shields, then claim that the Palestinians shot their own children if something happens to them? However, I don't think that most Palestinians or even Hamas would fire if the children were being used as shields, which is probably why they are used as shields in the first place. Unlike other extremist groups who have some special interest that doesn't involve the betterment of the public and so will see the public as expendable to their political goals, Hamas is an "extremist" group who was founded and is chartered for the sole purpose of ending the oppression against their people. They aren't chartered on religion, resources or land, rather to put an end to the sufferage of their people by an oppressive external threat.

Whatever the case, it is so horrible that children are being used as shields, regardless of who is doing it and just the mere notion of it, makes me sick to my stomach.

only a fool would deny that millions of jews were killed by the germans during wwii, called the holocaust. too much evidence to support it. however, just because the holocaust happened, does not mean that we need to pander to the jews now. that was then, this is now.

I'm sure many Nazis suffered an occasional twinge of concience as they pillaged, raped and murdered their way through Europe.
