So my first thread was about a youtube vid showing a black
"thing" fly through the screen in my opinion with enormous speed.
Now I got this video for you guys and I would really wanna hear what you think of it.

It's a video taken in holland and was meant to tape the chemtrails but after watching again
in slowmotion this showed up.

I think it would be hard to ascertain anything from that as there is so much going on with the sun glare it could be all kind of technical artifacts.

I am supposed to be looking at the little bright flashes arent i ?

No such thing as "chemtrails", first off...

Secondly, what ya got there, Son, are lens artifacts. Kinda normal when you shoot INTO a bright light!!!! (like, the Sun?)

Why not try this....go rent (or if you already own, even better the last Star Trek movie....the one by J.J Abrams, from 2009.

Then access the "Special Features" commentary section on the DVD, and enjoy the discussion about LENS FLARES, as the director discusses how much he likes the looks of them, in his films....and did it intenionally, especially for that movie.

A few online research minutes spent would be useful, if you can't get the DVD........

Notwithstanding there is no such thing as a chemtrail.....

I think you have a bad case of lens flares & bugs!

Kind regards
Maybe...maybe not

Wow you guys are hard damm

But one question, some of you say chemtrails don't exist?
Maybe you live in the middle of nowhere but here I definately see different sorts of contrails
and I am sure some of them contain forms of chemicals like Barium and stuff...

There hasn't been any evidence of "chemtrails" at all it's all a bit of a "what if" subject, one that is hardly going to be proved either way anytime soon i'd leave it alone and keep looking to the skies for more interesting things !

But hey don't be put off posting if ya think you have something unique mate

"Barium and stuff..." ????

And, just how can you be so "sure"? By just looking at them??

Your little album there of those four pictures are NORMAL contrails, normally occurring behind jet airplanes (usually jets. Although, even in World War II, the piston-engined big bombers made contrails too. It's the HEAT of the engines, and the moisture content of the air that's at work, there).

Where those "khemtrail klowns" and their nonsense websites (that are fear-mongering, and confusing people....but, ONLY the people who aren't yet educated on the science of contrail formation) get it wrong is forgetting about WEATHER....normal, everyday meteorology.

Contrails, once formed, are really pretty much indistinguishable from cirrus clouds, which DO occur naturally (I hope there's no argument there??? Because, if a claim that clouds do NOT form, in natural ways, is going to be adopted, then.....there is little hope in educating someone about the errors in their "beliefs" regarding "chemtrails").

Contrails do look a bit different than naturally-occurring cirrus because of the way they are formed...artificially, and accidentally. Merely a by-product of high-altitude aviation.

Here's the kicker: IF conditions are right for the clouds to exist, then conditions are right for the contrails, too.

Keep that in the front of your brain.

The entire "pseudo-science" of so-called "chemtrails" relies entirely on hoaxers, and the gullibility of way too many under-educated (in meteorological sciences) people.

There are plenty of resources of REAL science to choose from....here's one:

Tell your "khemtrail" friends, why don't ya???

Sorry wheedwacker no need to

Because you didn't convince me

I really don't know who you work for but you sound
really angry and try to convince people chemtrails don't exist.
I don't care if they do or don't exist I try to keep an open mind for everything.
I do know that the trails have changed last 20 years as they are visible for hours sometimes.
Besides that this thread was about the white orbs, I guess you would say they don't exist?
So what does exist in your reallity my friend?
Maybe it's just all denial? I am curious....

I've got another vid for you my friend
maybe the UFO is fake yes
but it does make you smile!

Peace and Love to you all!

I'll wager, based on response, that you didn't bother to research the sciences??

Oh, and thread headline changed. Swell.

SO, the "other" thing (the internet-based viral "hoax") involving meteorological and aviation events has been covered extensively, already. Only concern that some of us may have (I can't speak for all) is in the realm of "denying ignorance"....it is sometimes altruistic in nature, because it is truly, truly sad to see people taken in by scam artists.

There are several ATS members who once "believed" as you apparently do, and took advice of others and actually went to learn, and found out some things. AND, admitted they were wrong, that they had been misled. (I thing THEY might be the more "angry" ones. Me, I just feel sad sometimes, when I see the tragedy of ignorance on full display).

What's more, that sort of terrible "pseudo-science" and ignorance gets repeated, and has potential to influence young and innocent minds, before they've had a chance to study and learn the facts for themselves. And, so the nonsense goes on and on....

I really don't know who you work for....

Doesn't matter but, I'm retired, and have a side income of an entrepreneurial nature. NOT involving any things being discussed here, though. I rely on my earlier career for my knowledge base on that.

This next sentence is troubling, and it bears repeating, as it displays a root problem with many people, and will relate to the rest of the (on topic) discussion in a moment:

I don't care if they do or don't exist I try to keep an open mind for everything.

You were referring, there, to "chemtrails", but we can ALSO make that apply to the so-called "orbs" as well, yes?

But, that very statement contradicts itself, the "open mind" part....doesn't it? Seems to me, your mind is well made up and "closed" off.....

Now, back around....

Besides that this thread was about the white orbs....

Indeed, after the headline change, it is now.

....I guess you would say they don't exist?

As already pointed out, they "exist" in the sense that they were recorded visually by your camera's CCD (I assume it was a digital camera?) IF it was film, the "orbs" would likely appear too, after developing the negatives, given same lens and aperture and light direction...the Sun, in your case.

Because, as anyone who's done any amount of photography (and who hasn't, nowadays?) would know, bright lights striking a camera lens at certain angles will "flare", due to the nature of the optics: (The lens shape, and the way that light bends as it passes through the glass, or plastic, whichever the lens is made of).

Sometimes, as I think I've mentioned already, people WANT flares in their shots, whether stills or motion. Others strive to eliminate them. Depends on what you're trying to achieve, artistically.

www.brainfevermedia.com...

www.iphoneography.com...

You may recall I mentioned a movie, the latest "Star Trek", and suggested people watch its extras on the DVD?? Well, instead, here's an article discussing it, for easier viewing pleasure and enlightenment:

io9.com...

Here are some articles that explain the causes of flares in lens optics:

This one:
www.cambridgeincolour.com...

And, the much-used Wiki:

en.wikipedia.org...

So, in summation, those OP photos of so-called "orbs"? Lens flares.

This topic, so-called "orbs", has become a bane to real "UFO" research lately. Partly to do with (not that you are hoaxing, but others have) a woman on YouTube who appallingly videoed normal airplanes' landing lights, at night, and called them "blinky orbs" and claimed they were ET craft, landing in your backyard. There is a long thread about her, here on TAS. Search for "Allison Kruse" and "appalling".

So what does exist in your reallity my friend?

Oh, how polite!

REALITY, and one day hopefully, being RID of liars and charlatans like Allison Kruse (and others) mentioned above, and those other hoaxers that push the "chemtrail" baloney as well. For starters, they aren't the only ones who deny reality, and embrace and spread ignorance, but they are most on topic for this thread, at the moment.

LOL that video was awful ! Obviously the sun glare.
To make it even worse what the heck is with the super wide unreadable thread?
Please post smaller photos next time OP.
It's videos/threads like this that male me want to break something.

There is no such thing as "orbs: in the UFO field imo.
It is always a camera artifact, bugs birds out of focus
In this case the sun glare in said video.

OK....you're getting BAD information (as I've already pointed out) by relying too much on the Internet, and those sites that are devoted to promoting the hoax of "chemtrails". Whether they are doing it out of a sincere belief and delusion, or for some other motivation, it's hard to be certain. It HAS become a cottage industry of sorts, BECAUSE of the gullibility of so many people, and the easy way it is to fool them ---- and some people have found that there is a profit to be made on people's gullibility. (Just watch cable TV and see all the advertisements for crap....people buy that junk, and they do it because they fall for the hype).

About patents (your link is broken but it's OK because many others who "believe" have pointed those out....they got the IDEA from where? You guessed it!!! The "chemtrail" websites!!!)

Once again, MOST people don't understand just what a "patent" is. In a nutshell, it is a guarantee that someone's "intellectual property" (his idea), once granted and recorded, belongs to "HIM", and him alone.

It is an "IDEA". NOT always a physical invention. Though, often it DOES include a device.....but, it may also merely be a process (idea) that is patented. People don't understand this well. AND, just because a patent is granted for an idea, does NOT mean that it's a real-life device that will actually work!! THAT is not a requirement.

Perhaps it would be easier to research on Wiki: en.wikipedia.org...

In that article, the word "invention" is a highlighted link, so here it is too: en.wikipedia.org...

Now,

For the USPTO to issue a patent, the invention must be novel, non-obvious, and "useful."

(USPTO is United States Patent and Trademark Office). I have a friend (an attorney) who works for the USPTO, his field is Trademarks.

The "external" snippet, above, comes from this link: Crazy Patents!! From freepatentsonline.com

One that I found funny was the "BeerBrella"

Yes, it's an umbrella, just for your beer!!

Here's another list, the Top Ten Bizarre and Crazy Patents

There are many, many more examples. Google-search.

Your next link was blocked by the ISP (surfing at a "Panerra" bakery restaurant this AM, they have some sites blocked for "content").

But, the last one? Seen it. Debunked numerous times. First, that photo, about halfway down? This is typical of the many "chemtrail" claims and websites...they find pictures of perfectly explainable (but horribly misunderstood) odd aviation "things" and then decide they must be "evidence of chemtrailing", or something.
The airplane with the big, round "thing" hanging off the tail? It is a sprayer, yes....it sprays WATER! It is used to simulate in-flight icing conditions, for flight testing other airplanes. It is only one design of several that is used.

Icing in flight is a serious issue....two basic types, Rime and Clear icing. Ice will form when it's cold enough, when flying in clouds (this is usually where "Rime" forms...it's rough, bumpy and whitish in color). Clear ice is the result of super-cooled water (rain) droplets. Water can be chilled down below freezing, and fremain liquid, in some conditions. This happens naturally, in the atmosphere. However, super-cooled water will freeze almost instantly once disrupted, such as being hit by the airplane wing. It spreads out, as it freezes. Thus, "Clear" ice. Sometimes icing build-up is a combination of both.

Some airplanes (especially larger ones, like commercial jets) have various ways to either prevent (called "Anti-Ice" systems) or remove (called "De-Ice" systems) from various surfaces subject to ice formation. Sometimes, it's a combination of two systems, depends on airplane. (Jets use warm air, tapped from the engines, and pipe it into the wings' leading edges, and also the front of the engine intakes, the cowling rims that face forward). This is called "Anti-Ice" because we turn it on prior to encountering known icing conditions, to prevent formation on the critical areas. Ice WILL still form on unprotected areas, though. Some other airplanes (lighter turbo-props, some small airplanes) use rubber "boots" on the wing leading edges, that inflate on command to "crack" the ice build-up, and it blows off in the wind. This is called a "De-Ice" system, for inflight removal. Some airplanes with propellers either have electric heaters near the hub end of the blades (Anti-Ice), or use an alcohol mixture to De-Ice.

As you see, it's a big deal....and there is usually a lot of research going on, especially in new airplane designs. That airplane in the photo I mentioned, with the sprayer? It's used to spray water, and the test airplane is flown behind it, so they can see what ice build-up does, under controlled conditions. That is it. NO "chemtrails", none of that nonsense. Only the people who either wish to deceive, or actually don't understand aviation, will say that's what it is.

That photo, BTW? Here's the ORIGINAL source:

It is from the website (one that you may wish to explore, one of many ways to learn more about aviation) www.airliners.net...

The photographer's notes:

USA - California, November 1983

Remark Photographer
55-3128 (cn 17244) This boom-mounted apparatus was used for inflight icing tests.

NOTE THE DATE!!! 1983!!

Yet, the "chemtrail" hoaxers pounce on, use and spread this nonsense around, to fool the innocent and unknowing out there. :shk:

Finally, from your link also, the ROOT of this problem, and this hoax:

The term "chemtrail" was first introduced by journalist, William Thomas, in 1997.

THAT is when all this crap and nonsense started....just as the Internet was new and exciting, and people weren't as savvy as they are today. However, once started, the baloney spread like an ad for the latest, greatest "Weight Loss" fad on TV will (and people buy it, wasting their money and time).

Hopefully, that's finally out of the way, and we can look into your "white orbs" more closely.....
