This is completely false, the 82nd Airborne Div has not been mobilized for "Homeland Security". I can guarantee it. This guy probably got information from some enlisted soldier who got wind of the MPs training with the local police dept (or something just as routine and non-important), which happens often and is not out of the ordinary. Again, this is not true, nothing to worry about.

I know this because I have many ties with the 82nd, to include one of my best friends who is also a "god-parent" to my children. He is an operations officer in the Division G3 and I talk to him daily. I think if one of the Army's spear head divisions were being prepared for deployment against US citizens, on US soil, it would be big enough news.

Furthermore, a "QRF" or Quick Reaction Force is a force-management tactic designed to back up already deployed soldiers on patrol or on perimeter. The idea behind it is to give quick reinforcement to the soldiers and areas in need at any particular moment. It allows a force to do more with less and is used in conjunction with other forces. A "QRF" would not be established to solely suppress civil uprising, as the term would imply.

youtube says the video has been removed. it was only posted yesterday so i believe the poster probably looked into it and once he learned more about it took it off to keep from misinformation i would guess.

Last evening there was an Alert sent to Militia Leaders, but unfortunently, I was not available to view it. As I understand it there were several units placed on Alert, however, I take these things with a grain of salt so it wont be me or my guys.

These rumors of the 101 and 82nd jumping in have been going on for at least the last two weeks. I too, asked for comfirmation, and the information I got back was flawed from the moment I saw it and that was a week ago. I am aware however in the past, that the Marines have actually done training in cities-but those cities were notified in advance that this action was to take place.

There has been alot of talk in the news about a potential threat on the US, Great Britian, France and Germany (if I forgot someone-oh well). Everyone is on edge and need to calm down a little.
