Those that appear unaffected have just gone and redone their avatar and signature is all - they were affected too.

Just go to account settings and change it back! DON'T LET THE HACKERZ WINN!!!!

It's not that some were unaffected, it's just that we changed our profiles back ourselves.

Gotta admit, it's pretty funny. Could have been so much worse. Carrot Top or even William Shatner!

ETA: First time I've had an avatar, so I'm kinda happy.

Any idea exactly what the hell happened?

I'll never be able to find my damn avatar again to redo mine.

I just changed mine back (let's hope it sticks). All the settings were changed in my profile. The spam seems to have stopped, but literally 2 minutes after the avatars changed, I started getting hit by pop up spam from this page.

If you check your Members area you will see the D.O.B. of the person who hacked us - 12 Oct. 1971. If you combine that with a search for which ATS user has the original signature that we see then methinks we will find our culprit!!

wow the pain the pain.....my head hurts from that bit of turmoil...but i must say nicest hack i have seen....they could have used a pic of my mother...then you all would have been in trouble...

I am now just a black hole. I'll never find that avatar again, unless I get some help... It was buried in the old space somewhere, never moved it.

I think i would work it out from the signature where it came from....I think that might be a bit of a giveaway....could it be a disgruntled employee...of some conspirator....NOOOOOO not on a conspiracy site...who would have thunk it.......
