Thousands of Facebook users this afternoon (U.S. Pacific Time) are reporting that the popular social networking site is down. It's unclear when the outage began. PCWorld has not been able to reach Facebook for comment, but Mashable reports the company has confirmed the outage.
The snafu reportedly is the result of mysterious "site issues" that are causing Facebook to be "slow or unavailable for some users." The company says it's working to resolve the problem, which it says is unrelated to yesterday's outage. Facebook experienced some service glitches earlier this week as well.
