S&F for this one.

I find it interesting that they call it "Unidentified Aerial Objects". I think there is so much stigma attached to the term "UFO" that they rather refer to it as "Unidentified Aerial Objects".

It also gives people another alternative to what to search for and/or possibly do requests from FOIA. You can ask for "UFO" files and they can easily say sorry , we don't have any you nutcase. Because they don't refer to them as such anymore. Using "Unidentified Aerial Objects" or searching UAO may let people dig up some more stuff. Just a thought. It's the first time I've heard the term used. But I'm not an avid UFO/UAO researcher much either.

Its kind of weird
A couple days ago I asked "Lockheed Martin" "When are we going to have UFO's?";
When they were giving updates on their Orion SpaceCraft for NASA on Youtube,
And people started saying to me
Do you even know what a UFO is?
I said "Of course, I just use the term UFO as slang for Electro-magnetic / Anti-gravity Space Crafts

And now the new term UAO/ Unidentified Aerial Objects just came out

this phenomena isnt new, this has been happening since the 50s and has even been talked about on tv and documentaries by retired military personnel who were stationed at the missile sites as it was occurring. hell even the russians were bitching about it going on on their bases.

Im sure they're doing this because they're having enough problems cleaning up the mess it is we're creating for this planet and dont want to have to spend thousands of years in the future fixing what we're about to do with all these radiation generators after we're fried and gone.

this is their garden of eden after all...GEEEZ

This never leads anywhere. All threads on UFO's have the same pattern:

*Wow, this is groundbreaking news, awesome stuff!! Star and flag
*Discussion
*Only us UFO "believers" have heard of it
*People think the news will end up very soon in some MAJOR news
*Someone tries to take skeptiks down by saying "when you see a UFO like I did you know its real". But you never do.
*Someone points out why the news source isn't as credible as people think (like in this thread; this news is as worthy as a blog) - many miss that post, and discussion ensues.
*Conclusion: nothing ever happens and eventually this amazing news gets forgotten.

I wish this area was studied in universities and set as a big area of scientifical study instead of a pile of extremely faschinating stories. Then again it profits no-one financially and would take a life-time to go thru all the stories, and of course it's a subject of laughter among most of population. Now I've read these cool stories about sausers killing our nuce tests, but... yet to see some real evidence tho. Any videos of someone working in there actually telling about it? Of course, that could be some video-editors grandpa for what you know. There are some really amazing hoaxes out there. There are real stuff too I think - but why aren't UFO's making headlines everyday in newspapers? SOMETHING is wrong.

I don't intend to sound like a skeptik. It's just I'm tired of not knowing the truth. The only truth I know is we're here and are evidence of intelligent life in the universe! Just like Obama said, too. Now that I think of it, his statement ("Look, I don't know, but what I do know is there's life in here") is actually pretty good. As for what he really knows... no idea.

I demand the truth! *shouted the flee to a mountain.*

In addition to declassified U.S. government documents that will be offered at the event, the group plans to address the following questions: * Why do UFOs continue to appear at nuclear weapons sites, decade after decade? * What might these incursions indicate about the intentions and goals of those who presumably pilot these craft? * Why has the U.S. government chosen to keep the American public, and people everywhere, in the dark about these dramatic developments?

They may ask, but they will never receive an answer!
Even if they would, they would say "airballoons."
No matter how awesome those three questions are.

THIS is what I find so disgusting. UFO studiers are treated like the g*ddamn Ku Klux Klan or something.

Of course, I can well imagine, if this news was taken to the general public, they would either laugh or panic OMG UFO's are attacking our nuclear bombs, we're all gonna die!!! And no-one in the White House would be able to eat their morning serials before a full year of calming down nations... and you could forget about taking care of social policies; all people would care about anymore is our galaxy cousins. It seems they can still handle us here with style, but the whole world? No. It's ok for them tho if we the minority know the truth, we just need to hush it.

Maybe that is simply why all this is kept secret: because the truth about UFO's would attract so high levels of interest it would disturb our normal life and politics.

Why are you spamming the same topic across all threads?
Your statement is obviously premade and you are trying to serve some kind of agenda

It is obvious that you are feeling some kind of anxiety about new technology,
but most of the public doesnt even care;
there are new iphones and GooglePhones coming out every single day,
3D laptops, 3D PC's.
and a lot more,
So why do you even care if we have new space travel technology?
People are way more excited about the new IPhone 10 and GooglePhone500,
And we are looking down and laughing at your supposedly new technology that you shouldv'e unveiled 100 years ago

The ONLY thing that gives me even a little hope in this is the fact that Reuters is a major news outlet. I highly doubt this is disclosure or anything near it but very interesting nonetheless.

I have no agenda, I'm just tired of the UFO community looking like a wuss when it never gets its answers from the highest authorities to these amazing mysteries. These mysteries are very interesting, but I'm not checking every thread anymore because I've better things to do (like going out on a bike) than wonder for hours is this real or is this fake and thinking if there's a government cover-up.

U.S. Nuclear Weapons Have Been Compromised by Unidentified Aerial Objects

PR Newswire

WASHINGTON, Sept. 15

Ex-military men say unknown intruders have monitored and even tampered with American nuclear missiles

Group to call on U.S. Government to reveal the facts

WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Witness testimony from more than 120 former or retired military personnel points to an ongoing and alarming intervention by unidentified aerial objects at nuclear weapons sites, as recently as 2003. In some cases, several nuclear missiles simultaneously and inexplicably malfunctioned while a disc-shaped object silently hovered nearby. Six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man will break their silence about these events at the National Press Club and urge the government to publicly confirm their reality.

One of them, ICBM launch officer Captain Robert Salas, was on duty during one missile disruption incident at Malmstrom Air Force Base and was ordered to never discuss it. Another participant, retired Col. Charles Halt, observed a disc-shaped object directing beams of light down into the RAF Bentwaters airbase in England and heard on the radio that they landed in the nuclear weapons storage area. Both men will provide stunning details about these events, and reveal how the U.S. military responded.

Captain Salas notes, "The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it." Col. Halt adds, "I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attemptedΓΓé¼ΓÇ¥both then and nowΓΓé¼ΓÇ¥to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation."

The group of witnesses and a leading researcher, who has brought them together for the first time, will discuss the national security implications of these and other alarmingly similar incidents and will urge the government to reveal all information about them. This is a public-awareness issue.

Declassified U.S. government documents, to be distributed at the event, now substantiate the reality of UFO activity at nuclear weapons sites extending back to 1948. The press conference will also address present-day concerns about the abuse of government secrecy as well as the ongoing threat of nuclear weapons.

WHO: Dwynne Arneson, USAF Lt. Col. Ret., communications center officer-in-charge

Bruce Fenstermacher, former USAF nuclear missile launch officer

Charles Halt, USAF Col. Ret., former deputy base commander

Robert Hastings, researcher and author

Robert Jamison, former USAF nuclear missile targeting officer

Patrick McDonough, former USAF nuclear missile site geodetic surveyor

Jerome Nelson, former USAF nuclear missile launch officer

Robert Salas, former USAF nuclear missile launch officer

WHAT: Noted researcher Robert Hastings, author of UFOs and Nukes: Extraordinary Encounters at Nuclear Weapons Sites, will moderate a distinguished panel of former U.S. Air Force officers involved in UFO incidents at nuclear missile sites near Malmstrom, F.E. Warren, and Walker AFBs, as well as the nuclear weapons depot at RAF Bentwaters.

UFOs: Breaking the Silence

Date: 08-15-10
Host: George Knapp

Appearing in the second half, UFO researcher Robert Hastings talked about a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, DC that he and former US Air Force Capt. Robert Salas are organizing for September 27th. The conference will feature a number of former Air Force personnel discussing their first hand experiences of UFO incursions/tampering at US nuclear weapons facilities. Such incursions have also occurred at Russian nuclear sites. "This is a monumental story that has been ignored by the media...decade after decade," he stated.

In the last hour, former Air Force officer Bruce Fenstermacher joined the conversation, and described a UFO incident that took place when he was the Missile Combat Crew Commander at Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY in 1976. Hastings speculated that the interference at nuclear sites by UFO occupants could be their way of warning us that "we are playing with fire." A free excerpt from Hastings' book, UFOs and Nukes, has been made available on UFO Digest.

Appearing in the third hour, former U.S. Air Force Captain Robert Salas shared details of his March, 1967 experience with a UFO at Malmstrom AFB in Montana. An oval-shaped red object was seen hovering over the base, and during this time, the site's nuclear missiles were disabled. He believes the UFO occupants were deliberately demonstrating their advanced technology and sending a message for us to get rid of our nuclear weapons.

If anybody is new to Bit Torrent, hasn't used before, plenty of info via wikipedia and TPB forum, Suprbay, Azureus and Utorrent client forums etc.

Peace.

UAO was one of the terms used in the 1940s before Edward Ruppelt coined the term UFOs. Although he thought that some of them really were alien spacecraft, he thought just about eny term was better than "flying saucer"

In any case, they knew even in the 1940s and 1950s that the UFOs were certainly not all saucer shaped, and they might be dealing with more than one group of "visitors".

In the matter of UFOs, I think public opinion is actually years ahead of "official" opinion. That's happened before and it will happen again.

I know that the conventional wisdom is that the masses are all semi-literate "sheeple", but as Mr. Lincoln once said: "You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time." He was very wise.

I post this video below because it shows a video of a Saturn-shaped UFO taken in over Japan in 1989. It struck me because it was very similar to a UFO a saw in South Korea in 2001, only I saw the craft hovering near a radio tower for about 10-15 minutes. Then it took off straight into space, in about a second--maybe less. This was the first time I'd seen the video from Japan.

That is a conspiracy in and of itself!

I know there was a report a long time ago about radioactive decay from exposure in the circuits in nukes that was discovered a while ago. That was part of the reason Bush decided to upgrade the nuclear arsenal. Seems the chips that had a protective barrier against radiation did not have a life span as long as they thought. But instead of saying the weapons have a shorter lifespan than expected "sign of weakness if your weapons are failing like the rest of the American infrastructure is." they say aliens did it?

Think of the hell and discomfort it will cause nations if it was known that all the nukes had been disabled years ago.

Hi OP,

You betcha. Not only a matter of compromise, but a matter ball-protection. Ie: Nuclear stuff hurts the areas detonated for thousands of years, I feel certain ebe races are extremely concerned about that. Present humans can live and die, but not at the expense of future re-population of hybrids by reason of nuc detonations and the after effects.

The Information Assurance mission confronts the formidable challenge of preventing foreign adversaries from gaining access to sensitive or classified national security information.

Thus you don't have to worry about it.

It was an exercise, understand?

Well I'm not surprised they altered the name from UFOs to unidentified aerial objects. That's because so many people haven't the brain cells to grasp that UFO doesn't have to mean it's extra terrestrial.
I am sure the news source is genuine. I am sure there were UFOs in this instance.
But the origin of these UFOs is up for debate.

I thought it went okay, although it wasn't as exciting or head-turning as that 2001 conference. Where they ran into trouble is when they opened it up to questions. That's when the real kooks came out and just wanted to convey their own experiences and affirm that aliens were for real. So kooky were a couple of them that I coulda swore they were plants to discredit the whole thing, and no doubt, it did not help matters.

As long as the weirdos are out there claiming they've been to other planets with aliens, nobody will take this field seriously.
