Please explain what you mean. How did he put his foot in his throat? Where is the hypocrisy you're referring to? I don't get it at all.

We tried debating with you.

You haven't provided anything constructive to the thread besides inaccuracy. You can continue posting obviously, but don't expect the rest of us to actually try to talk to you with your head so deep in the sand.

It's only a hate fest if you make it one

Im trolling?

Why? because I interupted your hate fest?

If you cant handle a little debate, then wtf are you doing on this site>?

Lookin for brownie points and stars from your fellow liberals?

I don't believe you are trolling, I believed we were having an honest debate. It might not have been the most civil, but I didn't think was about stars and brownie points from fellow Liberals.

I say pleanty of things recieve no stars, I just say what I think. I can handle debate and I encourage it, it's unnecessary for you to leave this thread.

Good lord.

The arguments between members in this thread are as old as ... well, the baseboard heating in my apartment. No side will convince the other. Let it go, you all are obviously so ingrained in your own cultural programming the forrest equates to the trees.

How about this -- you are ALL correct! Okay, discussion over, feel good? "Your right over there...and you too, guy on that side of the room -- your correct in your beliefs as well!" Feel better?

We need to backtrack and find out who financed the very, VERY beginnings of the "Tea Party" -- It may have originated by well-meaning, independent American folk -- but it clearly has been taken by special interests. When this happened, and who's money was involved is what we need to be asking. When/why and by who was it hijacked.

These days, it seems financial trails are being covered up really shoddy. The people pulling the puppet strings don't care, they are on a sinking ship like the Titanic, and know it'll be to late before anyone calls them out -- unless we do and make it known.

The Islam/Christian divide also needs to be examined. Who is putting money into each side -- ect.

This bickering between ideals is just inane -- threads like this never amount to anything because of it.

Just agree that you've won already everyone, okay? Feel warm and fuzzy inside and discuss the macroscopic issues behind the curtains.

I agree, the Tea Party was formed by the followers of Ron Paul. It was Libertarian and Anti-Tax, Pro-Small Government and Pro-personal freedom movement. Then it lost all credibility when it was hijacked by Palin, Freedom Works, FOX, Beck, Koch Brothers and others. Now they have Neocons and Christian Fundamentalists making up at least half of the movement.

I simply am opposed to all Conservatives just like the Founding Fathers were and just like FDR was.

I would say you are at maximum 24, a liberal arts major and possibly still living at home.

As for you not caring who says what, that is exactly the reasoning why people are not just walking from your ideology, they are RUNNING.

You do not care that Obama is Bush on steroids, you do not care that the Dems have had the Congress since 06, you do not care that the dems had voted for the "wars" hence are war mongers, you do not care about anything but that your TEAM is in power. That is all you care about, because you think your TEAM cares about you.

Sorry, you have about another 30 years to go to actually grow up. Life and the world is NOT fair. You will not live forever, your party is not your benefactor, and money does not grow on trees, they are printed by the banksters that YOUR party is in bed with.

Maybe someday, you could open your mind as wide as you open your mouth. Doubtful, but possible.

As someone once said, the problem with liberals is not that they are ignorant, it is that they know so many things that are not true. Paraphrased RR.

I like this one better though. DO NOT TREAD ON ME! OR MY RIGHTS! Be they economic or social.

Pffft. I would ignore you, but gotta keep an eye on the radicals out there. Never know when they are going to turn.

Virtually everything he said was a lie. Sarah Palin would make an excellent president. The woman single handedly took on the oil companies and entrenched corruption in Alaska and won. Liberals should be applauding her, yet all they can do is foam at the mouth and call people names.

Try to think for yourself a minute. Do you really think that christians want war with muslims? Maher implies that anyone who actually believes in the Bible is a nutcase. The truth is that those hostile to the Bible have been the worst sort of people, often killing millions. People like Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot etc. Whereas most of the founding fathers were fundamentalist christians. Does Maher think all of those folks were nutcases too?

Maher is an utter disgrace and he should be ashamed of himself. I really don't understand why he is on TV. He is not funny and he never has anything good to say. When I see him blather I usually turn the channel. I couldn't even watch his smug face blather on in this interview. What an arrogant good for nothing.

Dear God! Sarah Palin was a terrible governor in Alaska. Here's a list of 77 things you need to know about Sarah Palin.
www.dailykos.com...

1. Palin was an incompetent Mayor. As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin incurred a 20 million dollar debt in just 6 years or $3,000 per resident. (DFQ1, BB29) 2. Make no mistake that Sarah Palin is Big Oil. As the Executive Director of the Sierra Club said, "No one is closer to the the oil industry than Governo Palin." 3. Palin signed into law the largest spending budget in Alaska history, over 6.6 billion dollars in June of 2007. 4. Palin is involved in Troopergate. (DFQ3) She's now lawyered up. 5. Palin is a typical corrupt Alaska Republican. Tubes and Young campaigned for her in 200

It's a pack of lies and mistruths from a pathetic partisan source. Typical liberal dross.

They accuse her of the great crime of being a global warming denier. Well good, have you forgotten climate gate? Do you realize that it's being used to enslave mankind under the boot of the Rothschilds who would control the carbon trade?

They even repeated this,

Thinks she has foreign policy experience b/c Alaska is near Russia

This slander was originally created as part of an SNL skit and has been thoroughly debunked.

Like typical liberal asswipes they associate belief in the supernatural or in God as a form of insanity. The truth is, liberalism is mental disorder, as has been well documented.

Here is what someone who knows Sarah personally observed:

BILL MAHER is full of BS.
where in the bible does it say to make war with islam or any other religion, as a matter of fact, Jesus teaches
the opposite.

“‘all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20; cf. Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47)

It is a little between the lines, but it is there. Need more?

Are you serious? The command to go make disciples is warfare to you? I suppose it is in the spiritual realm, but those tactics sure are scary, you know, love your enemies and love your neighbor like yourself. I suppose if I baked a lot of chocolate cookies and gave them to my neighbors they might die of a heart attack after many years......

Curse the tea party pieces of poop, they are anti-american, anti-liberty, they are against the constitution and I believe many of them are domestic enemies. We may need second amendment remedies to get if they get control in november. We have the right to defend against tyranny. These tea party people are so anti-american it's not even funny. Eff them.

I agree with BIll 100% & the OP 100%.

It may by time we organize or any militias to defend against these anti-american right winged extremist.

Can we get down to brass tax and drop or social programming/brainwashing at the door and have a real discussion on why TPTB aren't content anymore with just a conservative/liberal agenda and are now brining in religion (which is an emotional issue) into the mix?

IMO - this extreme ratcheting up of the Islamophobia, is simply getting back to the "old" agenda. The conservatives (whatever the hell they are called and NOT some of you, I am SO glad for you guys) are no longer on the ropes and this is a great tool for fear, reaction, anger and manipulation.

What really gets me is Palin for example; she personifies the lowest common denominator and she communicates
in an exclusive manner. She is very similar to Bush, the rhetoric is so simian that a brain dead cat could experience one of the two possible reactions, acceptance or repulsion of the stated mission.

On to Bush (yes he was a liberal
) WHY are all these REAL CONSERVATIVES associating with a person
who appears to be "Liberal" like Bush??? I mean conservatives "hate" Bush now... Well folks you have a moron
who pulls the same heart strings, speaks the same jive and seems to salivate at the chance to "git Iran..."

This is why TPM, so many of us accuse this whole thing of being a GOP rebranding effort (amongst other tell tale rhetoric). Sound like FOX (you real conservatives would put FOX in the crapper, wanna talk about who make you efforts Liberal and RINO
)

I personally know a few TP folks who dislike Obama because he is black, intensely and insanely so, however
this certainly does not reflect the entire body. I feel free floating Xenophobia is a large factor in TTPM, but not
overt racism.

So TP and libertarians you gonna get $@@%%@ BUSH 2.0 extreme if you don't fix you house, cause a Bush
3 type would win your hearts like a tart with a 6 pack.

Like Maher said, you don't argue with these people. It's like trying to convince a devoted Catholic that there's no god and Evolution is no longer a theory. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get through these folks. But to each their own...if they want to live the lives of bigots, so be it. I'm just afraid of them getting into the White House.

Catholics mostly believe in evolution, not creationism.

Chicago Tribune, Friday, 10/25/96, "POPE BOLSTERS CHURCH SUPPORT FOR EVOLUTION", by Stevenson Swanson, Tribune Staff Writer, Dateline: New York.

"In a major statement of the Roman Catholic Church's position on the theory of evolution, Pope John Paul II has proclaimed that the theory is 'more than just a hypothesis' and that evolution is compatible with Christian faith. In a written message to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the pope said the theory of evolution has been buttressed by scientific studies and discoveries since Charles Darwin ...

Pope: Creation vs. evolution clash an ‘absurdity’
7/25/2007
“They are presented as alternatives that exclude each other,” the pope said. “This clash is an absurdity because on one hand there is much scientific proof in favor of evolution, which appears as a reality that we must see and which enriches our understanding of life and being as such.”

I'm not a huge maher fan, but I think he has a point. This whole tea party situation has gotten out of hand, it has become the new forefront of extreme right wing conservative Christian policies masquerading as a constitutional movement. I'm all for defending the constitution but the people who have risen to prominence are only using the movement as a way to consolidate power by appealing to fear.

The palins and Beck's found an easy way to make money on speaking tours and book sales, by doing so they have corrupted a genuine movement for financial gain.

EVERYTHING is a pack of lies with yall

I have spent a year trying to learn all about conservatism and this is what REALLY, REALLY stinks.

The world is not Black and White, yet conservatives TEND to see everything in a package, it includes ALL
the DATA where the information is either accepted or rejected at mass. "Hey your grass is red, your dog turned into a cat and your house is on fire" Nevermind if your house is on fire -

Palin will go to another war so fast it will make your head spin...

And considering the idiocy of Drill Baby Drill and what has happened this year... Can't you guys find and intelligent person? Like on ATS??? Seriously
