Basic human psychology is fact - not a lie. We are shaped by our environments. That's common sense.

What I will do is also condescendingly tell you that you should look into what life is, specifically what simple life is.

Condescendingly ... do you understand the word?
You just said that you are looking down your nose at me.
That I'm inferior to you. You LEARNED that behavior from somewhere ....
Think about it ...

The facts I presented on human psychology were just proven by Zamini's statement.
Thank you Zamini.

So where'd you get your education on american civics? Sounds to me like you got it from some questionable sources...

If you were raised "all over" i can see why you think you belong to everything and nothing...

I wonder when you Americans(and the rest of the world for that matter - but as this issue is US related) will realize that intelligent reasoning is the way to go forward. Not hanging on to a piece of paper 300 years old or laws made up by selfcentred politicians. THINK FOR YOURSELVES.

First of all, is it safe to assume that you are an Iranian?

If my assumption is correct, I have to ask you...How in the hell do you give yourself the right to put down the constitution that meant to guarantee its citizens basic HUMAN RIGHTS such as freedom of speech???

How has "intelligent reasoning" worked in Iran????

You of all people should know the importance of a constitution as your country is in dire need of one.

Regardless of how broken the US constitution might be, it is something most Iranians can only dream of.

Go fix your own backyard before putting others down for wanting to protect the constitution.

Ahmadinejad is doing a fine enough job making Persians look bad, he doesn't need your help.

Sigh.

Just because people behave different because they've been brought up with a different religion or way of life does not mean they are intrinsically different. Characters vary but you also have characters that are very alike.

Other than that, your post is not very coherent, as in, wrong context.

What are you getting at? We all need water food and shelter to survive. That is COMMON SENCE. Some of us have it and some of us live on fantasy island. We all have skin and organs too, will that be your next talking point? I guess to you we are all basically the same person? Not in reality. We are all different, every aspect of us. Well from your standpoint i guess we do all breathe air so please dont try to tell me that everyone is the same. Some people would run out and die for a book being burned. Some people are dumb enought to burn a book. Whats the difference? O yea one thing is legal and the other thing is not. And since this is happening in america who dont we stick to american law instead of your fantasy island, everyone is the same on the inside, love conquors all, bullcrap?

MOTF!

Your consitution is based on the very first Persian human rights 'charter'. My nation? Who made it my nation? Is America your nation? And are you called an American because America is your nation or because some guy had the name Amerigo?

Why are you trying to make "intelligent reasoning" seem bad? As far as I can see Iran is still in charge of Iran, poverty caused in Iran is due to embargos and blockades YOUR nation(I do like to throw your own rethoric in your face) brought onto Iran on one side and corruption in government on the other side(which I'm sure you're no stranger to) which strange enough has something to do with...YOUR nation.

In fact, without such blockades Iran would be an economically and scientifically thriving country. Americans like yourself like to critisize the way women are put down in Iran(which is something of the old generation - ask your own elders how it went) yet they are blind to university rates(more than 60% female students), they are ignorant of their own ways of putting down women.

The West likes to critisize Iran because of religious doctrine, yet they fail to understand that is of the old generations( ask your parents parents how it went). Irans population consists of about 70% young people and 30% old people( 30). Do you think the young generation is going to hold on to doctrine? Did the younger generation hold on to Christian doctrine? No, am I correct? Again, this proves my point that people are the same yet different in character.

Your best poets, philosophers, mathematicians, physicians, your very RELIGION...all have roots in Persian culture. Like it or not, intellectual reasoning has worked out very well for Iranians as individuals.

Bush made all you Americans look like dumbasses but dang, you don't need to carry on his legacy! (Not really, but this is how ridiculous you sound).

Yes, you were condescending in your tone to me and so I pointed it out by being the same to you. You're not proving anything other than the failure of psychology.

Doesnt the very fact that we are having a debate about whats right and wrong disprove your standing on 1 earth society?

Since we are talking on an internet forum, it would be safe to say that we have internet access therefore some shelter and we are nourished a little and maybe hydrated? So before we even started posting here all our necessary 'maslow hierarchy of needs' pyramid spots have been fulfilled for the most part.

Come visit the US again. Let me know when you get here...Ill show you around

This guy is a complete psycho. I understand his feelings of hatred to the supposed perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks, but doing something that has the capability of unifying radical muslims just like 9/11 itself unified Americans, is pure lunacy.

If he is so passionate about this, let him pick up a weapon and march his butt over to Afghanistan and defend this nation instead of organizing a protest that might endanger our men and women in uniform.

Also, I'd like to remind you that I'm not the one putting down the constitution. YOU ARE. I have no power over the constitution. YOU DO. Yet there are still people falsely imprisoned in the US as well as Iran(A wrong is a wrong anywhere). Critical journalists are dealt with in both nations. Criminals are dealt with in both nations. Each their own way but it is still happening.

So let me try to get this over as simple and effective as possible:

If Americans weren't putting down the constitution there wouldn't have been a big issue about a mosque or koran burning in the first place.

I find it very fitting though, that when someone says they are from Iran they are looked upon as the enemy. Never mind the fact that nowhere did I condone any violent response to the opposition in Iran or harsh punishments.

What is very very funny is how people will be quick to jump in my face and tell me how the government in Iran puts down its people, when it is my friends who have been shot at and tortured in prisons.

You're not proving anything other than being an empty shell of a human being swayed left and right by the media and ignorance.

There are no real embargos and blockades of Iran.
And the few that have taken place are due to the actions of Iran.
Iran has only itself to blame for it's poor world status.

In fact, without such blockades Iran would be an economically and scientifically thriving country.

Scientifically? Iran stones innocent women and hangs homosexuals in the town centers ... and this is scientifically 'thriving'?

The West likes to critisize Iran because of religious doctrine,

Iran stones innocent women and hangs homsexuals ... you betchya we are going to be critical.

Your best poets, philosophers, mathematicians, physicians, your very RELIGION...all have roots in Persian culture.

Wrong. And America doesn't have a religion. Iran may force people to have a religion, but here America doesn't have 'a religion'. We are christians, jews, muslims, buddhists, agnostics, athiests, pagans, etc etc.

Bush made all you Americans look like dumbasses

Not really. And for you to make that comment shows you don't understand how diverse Americans are in their poltiical leanings. BTW ... that whacko leader of Iran sure does make himself look like a meglomaniac nutter. But I wouldn't call all Iranians 'meglomaniac nutters' just because the leader of that country is one. That would be ignorant.

You're not proving anything other than the failure of psychology.

If that's all you see then you are blind and uneducatable. You have my pity.

Iranians are not barbarians waiting to be civilized. Your attempts to humour me are getting stale. While that important looking guy was giving that speech, natives and blacks were being enslaved and murdered, segregated on into the 20th century for the colour of their SKIN? Empty words will remain empty.

Pride is a hard thing to swallow. People are the same everywhere, achievements can be used to brag with but what are they really worth when the situation is as it is?

When you understand that love is the only way forward is when you will you understand life. Maybe then will you not care for a piece of paper or a book or what is done to either one. Maybe then will you understand the idea behind these papers and books.

The last thing we need to do is give our enemies cause to organize. A lot of you are debating on a bunch of nonsense at this point. The whole point of this thread is that our enemies will use this as an excuse to bring in new extremists and perpetuate violence on Americans and other Western nations. I hope the pastor sees reason, but if not, I'll be looking for reports of suicide bombers and violence in the streets in the world abroad.

Religion is the cause of most conflicts, the sooner we dispense with religion of all kinds, the better we will all be....

I also blame the media / MSM for this whole incident !!! Any deaths / additional conflicts and other potential problems should lay SOLEY at the door of the Media on this one ...

If people suicide bomb it is not because of a man burning a few books it is because they were predisposed to do so in the first place. You think because the fanatics have been quiet for a little while that they are gone? They are not gone. They are waiting. They are waiting to influence our lives. Oh wait...they arent waiting for that, they have been doing so all along.

I'm starting a BURN YOUR OLD MAP DAY. It has nothing to do with any religion. Just tired of old maps with the wrong information on them. Hey, I could throw that pastor in the fire too! That would certainly make the world a better place.
