This is nothing new really.

Jesus has appeared on toast, bits of wood, taco's , pizza, all sorts of strange places. He was bound to turn up on the sun sooner or later.

Speaking as an adult, what, exactly, would be the proper tone for discussing the theory that a thirty-one thousand mile tall man might be walking on the outer edge of a gaseous nuclear ball? I ask because it occurs to me that even if this theory didn't defy all known rational thought, it would still be met with a deep level of skepticism and would saddle the OP with a very strong burden of proof.

I'm open to any all explanations that could possibly fit - but they've got to be at least partially based in realism!

Really? You're honestly getting angry because people are having fun with a thread that involves a "cloaked being" walking on the sun? Come on, you HAD to see this coming. . . Or perhaps the UV rays from your sun strolling are clouding your vision.

I appreciate the original poster for sharing the image, it is pretty cool to look at. I don't find any reason to consider it as anything more than a solar flare, so I just take it as a reminder of how nature can be so beautiful and mysterious and... well, "natural"

Remember the skull in Mars surface? I think our brains are somehow codified to see at first glance silhouettes of any human or animal shape, being that an ancient self-survival mechanism. In the old prehistorical times, when we saw a skull in the way we could infere there were dangers for humans around. Our brains would compose rapidly shapes into recognizable forms in order to provide warning or advice. I think that is a sun-flare, randomly freezed in the pic under a human form..., AND what an absolutely awsome picture of the sun !!!

Yes thats obviously a solar flare. You can see similar flare ups on the top right and the bottom left. Nothing special at all.
