But I truly am afraid one of these days I'll see Arnold as President.
When I picture him in the White House my thinking goes a bit soft.

Hey, I'm right there with you on that one. That thought would keep me awake at night.
But Arnold and his parents are all foreign-born and none of them are were US citizens at birth. There's NO WAY he could be considered natural born. They could amend the Constitution, though.

But I don't think they will.

DNC failed to certify Obama as eligible in most states.

Already been discussed several times here, not true

And this:All 435 In Congress Will Be Complicit In The Obama Birth Certificate/Eligibility Issue

Just another forged birth certificate from birthers

It could be so simply resolved.

Very true, the birthers would just have to accept the facts, that Obama is the proper POTUS and was born in Hawaii. But they refuse to accept those facts!

Why they had to go all the way to Kenya to retrieve a US legal document that originated in Hawaii is beyond comprehension and explanation.

Who paid for the postage and the trip?
Who paid fees levied for intercontinental transport? Then there is City Hall for the copy of the document out of Hawaii in the first place...travel all the way to Kenya ...where some lunatic fringe of the GOP could go there, reclaim it and then mail it to members of Congress.

Preposterous.

Stupidity en mass - no doubt at taxpayer expense.

Did they send Michael Steele along for the ride?

This is a great example of how Republicans will spend taxpayer money.

The only candidate in the last Presidential election who was not born in the United State is John Mc Cain.

Obama's eligibility has yet to be proven

That is just a birther lie, his eligibility has been proven, which is why he is the valid POTUS

and it is a requirement of his office as well as his his first duty to the American people to provide that proof.

That proof HAS been provided, but birthers refuse to accept it as it means a black man is the POTUS!

I care that Obama is denying the American people their right to have evidence as to the eligibility of their President.

What right? We have NO RIGHT to see his birth certificate and he is under NO obligation to satisfy the extreme demands of a fringe movement to discredit him.

And why doesn't his birth certificate provide the evidence you need, when it has satisfied his Congressional AND presidential opponents? Congress is satisfied. Why are you not?

Obama's eligibility has yet to be proven

You're wrong. It has been proven. Some just don't like the proof.

Thanks dereks, for picking up that state nomination thing. I don't think I could stomach explaining it again... RESEARCH, people!!!

And yet again, the race card, how many do you have in your deck? Obama is only half black, no matter how much you want it to be otherwise, and playing the race card is an act of desperation, when you have nothing else.......

That is exactly what some birthers are doing, but they try and cover up their racism by going on about how Obama should provide a copy of his Birth Certificate - ignoring the fact that he has, and they never demanded the birth certificate of any previous white President....

or the Executive Order that Obama made restricting access to Presidential documents - exactly like previous White Presidents did... but they do not go on about them - the difference being they were not black!

It's basically the same idea as the "Republic of Kenya" one, but once that was exposed as a fraud, they came up with this gem after attempting to fix everything they got wrong with that one.

barackryphal.blogspot.com...

Does the fact that the embossed seal just says "SEAL" look just a LITTLE suspicious?

And, of course, this is the kind of garbage that gets 70+ flags and numerous stars. "Deny ignorance" indeed.

Ever think that maybe it has to do with the controversy around his eligability. I'm sure some people don't like the fat that he's HALF black, but not all people who are "birthers" are racist. Maybe if the media, on both sides hadn't stirred up so much controversy, and if he were more transparent (you know like he said he would be), this would all go away. He himself has no one to blame but himself at the end of the day for allowing this to continue.......it has nothing to do with him being HALF black, and everything to do with him not being as transparent as he said he would be.

To say this is because the President is black is a cheap, tacky shot with absolutely no value.

Then why does it always come back around to Africa? "He couldn't have been born here - he must be Kenyan."

Even though there is absolutely ZERO proof that Ann Dunham ever set foot in Africa...even though the State of Hawaii has certified that Obama was born there...some people keep wanting to make sure we all think that Obama is "different" than every other American, and thus unfit to be President. And somehow, that always takes them to Africa.

But that has nothing to do with race, right?

Yeah, and rape victims are to blame, too. And battered women. In fact, if someone gets attacked, we can just say, "You brought that on yourself"!

Yeah, that should stick.

I'm going to have to go with dereks and mothershipzeta on this one. I don't think all birthers are outwardly racist or even aware of what drives them to dislike Obama, but after all I've seen, I can state with a clear conscience that, IMO, the vast majority of birthers are going after Obama because he's "different". Or else we wouldn't see all these claims that he's foreign, a Muslim, and racist himself.

But that's not really the topic either...

I've been sitting back trying to pay attention to the thread, and learning from what I clearly did not know, but I think that comparing rape victims and battered women to this issue is weak. To say the least it is in poor taste.

After reading most of these posts, I can see how a few could be labeled racist, but the majority of people simply question the facts given to them. They are more skeptical of what they are told, rather than hate the color of his skin.

Funny though, its not the birthers that ever bring up his skin color, it the defenders of Obama that do. Kinda twisted don't you think?

Since the essence of the argument is that it is easier to bribe fake documentation into existence in the US, than it is in Kenya, it is rather pro developing countries.
An Irony, that I think is lost on most of its proponents.

"People think he is Kenyan" - "If he didn't want that, why did he dress like he did"?
It is the exact same logic as blaming rape victims.

Also: Skepticism != confirmation bias. Calling the source of this document dubious would be an insult to all dubious sources. THERE IS NO LINE TO PUT IN RESIDENCE OF THE FATHER. IT WAS ALLEDEGDLY PRODUCED WITH BRIBE MONEY.
yet it somehow seems more credible than an official US Document. Proponents of this Idea just go "lalalala" and stick their fingers in their ears whenever anything is mentioned that points out how ridiculous the Idea is.

I'm not necessarily talking about the people in this thread. I'm saying that the people who began these rumors (back in 2007) and put the questions, doubts and suspicions out there into the public for them to chew on - and continue to feed this frenzy - did so because they could use Obama's "differentness" to feed the fears and doubts of the general populous.

No one ever questions exactly HOW these rumors got started. But I'll bet you a week's pay that the people who started them are racist to the core.
The ones who have jumped on the bandwagon aren't necessarily outwardly or even knowingly racist, but MANY of them are unknowingly suspicious of people of other races and 'odd' names, IMO.

there's always a typo!

I am not a birther, but I do believe they will accept the facts, once the long from birth certificate is allowed to be viewed in Hawaii. I believe that the certificate is real, and he was born in Hawaii, but we can not accept people to simply take his word for it. By hiding it away the whole issue becomes suspicious.

People on this little site fuss at each other for not posting proper documentation and proof. Is it so much to ask that our President do the same?

Like I said I believe it is a true and legit birth certificate, but because of all of the questions why did he hide it away. Considering he is claimed he wanted to be the most transparent President in history this is a little odd.

Comparing this to rape and battered women is not something I'd have expected from you of all people on here. Wow, so since he has the ability to end this but chooses not to, you make that leap, and yet the birthers are crazy........I guess there truely is no debating this if you'll stoop to such a level.......wow, and all this time I thought you were more rational.

I don't know why not. As a rape survivor myself, I know what it's like to feel responsibility and be blamed for what was done to me. This was done to Obama and he's being blamed for it. I think the analogy stands.

Now, if you want to continue to talk about ME, please take it to U2U. If you want to talk about the topic, carry on.
Thanks.
