Maybe - but they've so distorted the historical accounts of what that war was even about, the intentions of Israel's enemies, how it was fought, how they "won", to the point that I suppose few even question alternatives. Much like the Camp David Accords. They've absolutely monopolized the major media and "scholarly" accounts of what actually happened.

Short story - in the 6 day war, all of Israel's enemies merely wanted the parts of their territory that Israel had recently invaded. Nobody ever intended to invade Israel Proper. That's a story you'll almost never hear. Unfortunately it happens to be the truth.

The evidence that I was asking for was that banned weapons were used.
As to using non combatants to shield weapon storage or what ever else would be considered a prime target I do not recall seeing anything about that.

As to the political goals not being reached, I will let each person decide that for them selves at least for the time being.

You have done an excellent job of correcting the misperceptions of the OP. The OPs continuous misinformation campaign of anti-Israel/US/Jewish postings is almost laughable. Alledged use of WMDs, 'banned weapons', and rampant massacres is simply wrong as you have so well demonstrated in this thread. I could not have done better myself, and I commend you.

I have thought of replying to the OPs other postings, but decided after researching a few that it wasn't worth my time. 'His' threads of this sort, are almost a daily occurance and I would be spending far too much time on ATS, rather than enjoying the summer. One thought though - its obvious the OP is not a native english speaker, so maybe some of the things written simply aren't put right. That would explain some of the absurdity. Otherwise, I have not read anyone else on this site so full of hatred and stereo-types; and that makes me sad. Don't give up the good fight - to set wrongs straight - but also don't let postings like this draw you into the darkness.

Israel was defeated because they only used about a tenth of their ground forces, they didnt go with an all-out invasion, they fought back just enough to keep things at a status-quo. Thats why they lost...they werent in it to win it. I wouldnt even sya they lost....i would say it was pretty much tit-for tat and both sides just backed down form letting it escalate any further.

Israel was hamstrung by world opinion....you should not fight wars like that especially when the opposition could care less.
