This is true, I agree with this

It's simply blowback!

Of course if you imprison people in their own homes and force them into perpetual poverty they will strike back, every human on earth wants freedom once born.

For me the dialogue isn't so much about what happened as it is our instantaneous and unquestionable assumptions despite the caution the reporters exercised to ensure that they weren't stating something that was not said.

It stands as a very reasonable to expect that this was a stereotypical killing between peoples who consider each other enemies. But that doesn't change the simple fact that no one has claimed credit for the act, and any claim that it was or wasn't a Palestinian is an assumption at best, or a crass inflammatory position at worst.

Why people feel that killing randomly is an 'expression' of something other than barbarism and warmongering is beyond me.

I thought there was supposed to be a Palestinian/Israeli Peace Talks going on this very week?

I was hoping to possibly see a result from that talk. At the very least recognition of each other as mutual countries that want to be accepted into the world. I hope this does not affect those efforts.

Hamas gunmen murder four Israelis in ambush near Hebron

Two of the victims were a pregnant woman and her husband. The gunmen sprayed their car at the Beni Naim junction near Kiryat Arba Tuesday night, Aug. 31. They then approached the vehicle and shot all four victims again at point-blank range to make sure they were dead. Hamas leaders threatened to sabotage the Israeli-Palestinian talks in Washington this week with a wave of terror. debkafile's military sources note: The IDF and security authorities failed to anticipate this attack.

Last Wednesday, Aug. 25, debkafile reported the Hamas threat. Damascus-based Hamas political leader Khaled Meshaal warned in a speech last week that his terrorists were set for a round of terrorist attacks against Israelis and the Palestinian Authority alike if the talks in Washington go forward.

If they are blaming Hamas, then forget about peace process and there may even be another Gaza war.

Well:

Hamas military wing spokesman Abu Obeida told The Associated Press late Tuesday that Hamas carried out the attack near the West Bank city of Hebron.

Agree with you on this though:

We can only hope there is a Hell.

Evidently the peace process was the target. Or at least that is how it seems.

They are reporting gunmen now? I thought it was only one person?

I wonder why they failed to claim credit before now?

I guess I will never empathize with the lust to kill.

Look we all know Israel is not perfect but i think we also need to realise that Hamas is by no means innocent. To suggest Israel staged this attack is scraping the barrel and is desperate. If it is true that Hamas did do this, and personally i think they probably did this time, then it just shows that peace is never possible in that region because people on both sides do stupid things.

We should not jump to conclusions on this one until more substantive evidence is presented. Thus far, all I see is circumstantial evidence but nothing of anything to make a definitive conclusion on what happened or who was responsible? I just hope this does not bring a knee-jerk response by the Israeli Authorities and IDF. It may have very well been been a Palestinian with a grudge or a crazed Israeli settler? Then it could be Hamas or Fatah throwing a wrench in the peace talks? Or as some have stated, a mafia style hit? Lets wait and see until all the dots are connected before making any judgments or conclusion. We don't need another war in Gaza or in the West Bank if it is not necessary.

A typical response from the nutter settlers.

Settler leaders and rightist Knesset members earlier Tuesday condemned the shooting attack, with some calling for Netanyahu to freeze peace talks with the Palestinians and focus instead on the security of Israel's citizens.

"Now it is clear that the most violent periods take place when there is a political process," said MK Uri Ariel (National Union). "Netanyahu must freeze talks and focus on ensuring peace for Israel's citizens."

www.haaretz.com...

Why would the talks now be suspended? The talks are between the PA and the Israeli administration, Hamas are not invovled and it is they have claimed responability.

I assume these talks scare the rightists and sttlers as if any real, just peace is concluded one form it could take would include a mass evacuation of the settlements in the West Bank.

Hamas are trying to derali the talks, MK are trying to derail the talks. Perhaps it may be for the best that they are derailed as the inevitable failure will lead to the inevitable and justified revolt of the Palestinians and the inevitable and unjustified attack of the IDF/IAF.

I have no doubt that Hamas would do this. I also have no doubt that the Mossad would do this. Also I have no doubt that it could be a whacko that would do this. Let's wait and see.

Hugs and Kisses?

I don't know if zionism is at fault here or not, but I do know the Lukid Party is very much at fault.

Your near complete lack of moral outrage and mention of "Zionism" in a story associated with the murder of an innocent pregnant woman spotlights your attitudes as being on the fringe of reason.

If you can excuse this by blaming the Israelis, then any act would be justifiable in your assessment.

And if you're going to blame someone for the murder of innocents, at least spell it correctly, the word is LIKUD.

I've got a few more that I can spell that kill innocents. IDF and Mossad come to mind. Why didn't mention Hamas? Because it goes without saying but some only focus on the innocent Israelis that get killed.

Fringe of reason?
So only israeli pregnant women die, not palestinian?
Not only do palestinian pregnant women die but there's also birth defects

New Birth Defects Seen In Gaza Due To Israeli Weapons

Israeli pregnant woman or palestinian pregnant woman, both their lives are of equal value to me, but the number of one group FAR outnumbers the other, i'll leave you to determine which one.

fair play they were just settlers but that doesnt really mean they deserve to die

Why? Peace Sells but Who's Buying?

There's no money and power in peace. There are those on both sides that don't want peace.

There's no heroism in killing civilians, I'm just referring to a source, no particular slant on my part.

I think warriors should only kill other warriors, and I'm pretty sure the gunmen had plenty of opportunities to kill a soldier or policeman instead.

Them killing civilians just puzzles me... That's not the best 'message' to send.

Your mindset is characteristic of apologists throughout the ages. When was the last time you justified an Israeli attack by citing deaths caused by Palestinian rocket attacks?

Try never.

Yet you instantly attempt (again) to justify a Palestinian atrocity by citing an Israeli one. The most sympathy and outrage you could muster was to call this murder "sad".

A dead puppy run over by a car is sad, a pregnant woman murdered by armed men because of her race is an outrage, and that applies to ANY pregnant woman.

Israeli pregnant woman or palestinian pregnant woman, both their lives are of equal value to me

You don't seriously expect anyone to believe that do you, after your opening statement of "what do you expect from an apartheid, hugs and kisses".

You condemn yourself with your own words, you need no help from me.

Did it ever occur to you to blame the terrorists?

I thank my stars every day that I'm not so hate filled. It's sickening.

Sad thing is you get people that will justify the murder of innocent civilians on both sides,
these people are most likely the lowest of the gene pool

Search ATS, there are loads of people that justify the murder of palestinans by Israelis, only small percentage justify the murder of Israeli civilians.
