that need to be debated and discussed .. THE REAL FACTS
i wanted to get wet on the subject .. having a more direct approach can have some good result ..
i beleive we can wake up the mind from some state of zombie-ness
to enlight it with logic .. its a way to let the truth enter in some individuals
i wasnt convince by any of these astronaults .. or any threads, TV shows or news outlets..
how can someone dont beleive in Aliens ... a more advanced civilization
highly inteligent E.T's species coming from another planet ...

Elaborate.... and provide proof of said quotes.. I am assuming you have proof, correct? Certainly you wouldn't just pop on here and deliver such sayings to the ATS community and present it as truth without proof???

What debunkers or de-railers like to do is zero in on one or two misnomers (like Buzz Aldrin NOT saying specific things) and totally ignore other undisputed eye witnesses.

Yes, we have Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper and Scott Carpenter and Story Musgrave (and maybe one or two more like Donna Hare and Gary Mckinnon) who all ADMIT to cover-ups. Some right out say "alien visitations' too!

But.............nah. Let's ignore them and refocus our attention to the few who've been allegedly misquoted.

I just don't know what that really serves in the long run. If one or two people were misquoted (or misinterpreted) how does that negate the others?

It's nothing but smoke and mirrors and a Three-Card Monte act. "Lookie here so not to call attention over there'.

Well, I would equate sarcasm and obnoxiousness as being very closely related tactics - if I were one to read into things. But my approach is to always give the benefit of the doubt here because tone is often lost in the written word.

So, as it goes, no I do not know exactly what you were saying and upon rereading this thread I haven't seen anything I would deem "obnoxious".

The thing about Buzz baby is, he's such an enigmatic ex-astronaut, filled with so many personal issues, it's hard to discern what's what when it comes to him. His own ex-wife said disparaging things about him so.....can we leave him out? He's such an easy target of ridicule and derailment.

We're talking about the other (what is it, 20+) astronauts who made claims.
So way put all our attention on one troubled soul (Buzz) and not discuss the other astronauts?

The thing (in my opinion is)....the truth is slowly seeping out because many of these astronauts are Seniors now. So.....let's wait. The 50-year code-of-silence is almost around the corner.

PS. That's why 1997 was such a pivotal UFO year. It was 50 years after Roswell and people started talking! (please don't ask me for names for I don't recall. I think the dentist and/or funeral director were among the few)

i just hope if any of those hardcore skeptic guys who thing we are alone in the univers.... what if they are wrong .... and we were right
if a alien appear directly in front of them ... i just hope people will not shot him on sight ..

if any one show hostiles signs (human or aliens)

I am believer. But I do not agree with what you are saying. I believe in what the astronauts are saying. What I DO NOT know is what Maybe...Maybe Not knows about Aldrin.

And I would like to find out. Why is it that almost in every thread where I see his name now, he's seen as the debunker that wants to derail threads ?

How can we have a discussion if believers keep trashing debunkers and debunkers keep "derailing" threads as I so often read?

It's gotta stop somewhere if we're ever gonna have a serious topic at hand.

Everyone is aloud to have an opinion, no? Or are we so diluted in our own personal truths that nothing else counts or matters?

The ISS moves quite fast. Like faster than an airplane fast. It doesn't sit in one place, it is in orbit around the earth just like a satellite. Satellites move quite fast as well.

Whatever you think you are seeing is NOT the ISS. If you don't believe me then google it.

mmmm .. so what the hell i saw 2 weeks ago
it was the most brilliant white dot in the sky
and the next night it wasnt there ...
that confirm the speed .. since it move with the earth rotation
stars and planet dont move ... i see some flying stars sometime but thats it .. im pretty sure it was the ISS i saw that day
i have some good eyes to distinguish those stuff
but the possibility that i was wrong .. is there
what was this big white dot in the sky that wasnt there for the next night .. it moved to the right of my parked campvan

Well....because this is not a Buzz Aldrin thread. As Maybe Maybe Not points out, there are a whole bunch of other threads on him.

I see this as a derailment to the OPs overall topic.
If one person, Buzz Aldrin is known to have been misquoted (and that really has to do with the Moon hoax opposed to seeing UFOs per se) I don't know why were spending the last 10 posts on one person.

Search out Buzz and you'll get about 20 threads on the guy.

To me, he's an easy target because once people realize his quotes were taken out of context then....some people might get the impression (tainted) that everything else relevant to astronauts and admitting UFO is a farce too.
People are easily led.

Don't you see that or am I all alone on this?

Listen, I happen to like MMN. I think he brings a lot of interesting ideas to threads but, this (bringing up Buzz) is something unnecessary.

Edit to add: I wasn't calling MMN a debunker. I was referring to paid shills out in our world who do this for a living.

It has not been my intention to derail the thread by mentioning Buzz.

I did that because Ben81 broadened his topic beyond Mitchell in his opening post.

Nevertheless, I will persist with drafting my "Buzz" post & hope that it adds something of interest to Ben81's thread.
