dude your op is bordering confrontation; your on a website called ats.

and if i dont agree with you using symbols and rituals; but you see no problem with the method of your instruction: or if i also find fault in the fact you are speculative about arts which are neither your own nor should be investigated; i am at fault because you call yourself a "mason"? but your not a mason to me; you speculate about something which you are not adept; and you practice rites which are not your own robbing culture and scholarship while doing such.

if i ever did come into "your" masonic lodge do you think i would be there because of conspiracy theories; thats your lodge's problem "right there".

As a matter of fact Ronnie James Dio sings the Knights of Proto Official Anthem.

He of course was a Secret Knight of Proto, more adventures than the U.S. Marines, more fun than a Bangcock NightClub, the Knights of Proto the few, the shameless the totally debauched!

I don't want to brag but the owners of Hedonism I & II and Platos Retreat come to the Knights of Proto Temple to enjoy their time off!

And you are on a website that that speaks English. Is punctuation and or grammar a new concept to you? If you are a non English speaker, thats fine. Otherwise, dude, hit up a community college or something.

you are a fine example of how a "secret fraternity" is vulnerable by its members expressions non secretly.

So if theres "arts which are neither your own nor should be investigated; " they arent mine and you say shouldnt be investigated, whats the problem here? You make no sense at all. Keep trying, reach for the stars ! Jeebus, this is like coaching window lickers !

You are wise. You can make no sense at all in less than a complete sentence.

You didn't answer the question, which I asked the other guy not you. It seems that embedded in his comment is the idea that if the unemployed want to find jobs they could usefully visit the Masons. Am I misunderstanding him?

I'm not even in Pennsylvania so my interest or lack of it in your particular open house was never at issue. Actually I'm the sort of person who might wander into something like that if I had time.

...

I don't quite understand what you're saying. Are you saying that by meeting or joining the Masons, people can find jobs? Or are you imagining that for some reason if it had been a job tent instead of Mason open house, people would still have been uninterested?

LOL, I guess I am saying both. First off, I was making the connection between inaction and apathy and government handouts. As long as we keep giving people unlimited handouts, they will continue to take no personal initiative. It applied to what scooter said about people walking buy his open house with free food and drinks and never paying any attention to it on their way to the bus stop.

However you bring up a good point about fraternal interests. Someone should never join the Masons for personal benefits, but once they join, and they network and they prove themselves to be upright, just, and honest, then yes, it is bound to open new doors and opportunities to them.

You may be misunderstanding,I also need work. But the ironic aspect is that most believe that masonic brotherhood can get one a job, most masons are 65 and older and retired and no longer have employment connections ! Trust me, I'm getting NO jobs from my lodge !

Thanks. As an outsider I am a bit surprised that nobody walked in; I mean you'd expect a few people to be interested and have some time.

I am aware of the reputation of the Masons, and other fraternal groups, for sharing connections. (I'm sure you've developed a keener awareness than mine of what others think of your organization etc. and perhaps even a bit of wariness about why people are interested in joining.) So I'm a little surprised, but less surprised, that they didn't get any visitors who were pushed "over the line" by the thought that they could improve themselves economically.

You speculate that these people just had no initiative. Another explanation is that Masons' PR problem is really bad: people would normally have come for a free bite to eat, to satisfy their curiosity or to see if they could get a better job, but they hate the Masons so much they avoided it despite those things. Actually I have little idea about public perceptions of the Masons. I almost joined a fraternity in college but somehow got uncomfortable about the idea at the last moment -- one of those moments of choice in life.

But I don't see what it has to do with extending unemployment insurance -- that seems a stretch to me.

To be honest, I think the college fraternities are a lot more hardcore about their initiations and secrets than the Masons are, and I also think they are a lot sillier and have no real value other than networking and meeting sorority girls, lol!

Good move on not joining the college fraternity, but don't let that color your view of the oldest original fraternity on earth.

Well I'd never really thought about it, having assumed that I had adequately captured the experience thru internet spying ... but maybe I'll check out a local place.

As for you Proto, just show me that George Washington is or was a member of your esteemed society and I'm all ears. Or even any Roman emperors.

I think it's pretty obvious that only a Knight of Proto can get this bent!

Yes it was a pretty fun night with the knights on that night at the Knights of Proto Temple.

George got that bent by the way saying that three times backwards fast!

Want to try? Sure you do!

Anyone who is anyone and everyone who ever was anyone has been a Knight of Proto!

If you are looking to belong to the Real Deal, a true secret and evil society bent on world domination, then accept no substitutes shoot for the best the Knights of Proto and put your worries to rest!

Need I say more?

Edit to add: There is no truth to the rumor that the Masons are actually a subsidiary of the Knights Proto that are dedicated to using mathematics to figure out how to unbend the Knights Proto after parties at the Knights of Proto Temple.

Or is there?

Men only or can women become a Knight of Proto?

There is a lady Freemason group in my area but no mixed groups. I'm not sure why the men and ladies are still kept separate and would be interested in hearing from anyone with views on that? Maybe my husband's lodge is more like the Knight's of Proto and he wouldn't want me tagging along!

Maybe the right people just didn't pass that day. Maybe try it again for 3 days to a week? Also maybe advertise on a local channel on TV? If you really want folks to stop in, maybe just get the word out a bit further. Plus, as most have already said - beer and other stuff would make a great ruse for sure.
