If Israels goal is to shut down the plant for as long as possible by bombing it, they should definitely wait until the fuel is in the building.

The workers will have to suit up extra-heavy for that cleanup duty.

its okay when Israel bombs the hell out of someone but its not okay if the other side retaliate ...

typical israeli PR propaganda they love to be made the victim to the international eye to justify their criminal action
they are doing exactly what hitler did to them

They dont have to "turn it on". You do realize the fuel itself is already radiaoctive...it only needs to be somewhere in the building when it gets bombed to disperse radiation into the atmosphere from the ensuing dust cloud. The reactor does NOT need to be "turned on" for this to happen.

Once the reactor is filled on the 21st they do not turn it on right then and there
they would probably wait a day or two 22-23 to turn that puppy on. So yes, the 8 day timetable still stands.
Actually 7 days, since this quote is from yesterday. We will just have to wait and see.

If it they were to attack, i would say they would do it once the shipment has been delivered to the site and before the reactor has been fueled.

I understand,

So if they were to go ahead with an air strike, what type of munitions would be used?
My guess it would be a nuclear type bunkerbuster. I would assume there would be some sort of radioactive fallout anyways. Might as well take out the fuel rods as well.

"Once that uranium, once those fuel rods are very close to the reactor, certainly once they're in the reactor, attacking it means a release of radiation, no question about it," Bolton said.

I don't see this as an Israeli air strike
but as a Mossad Black Ops Sabotage
mission to blow up the facilities under
cover of darkness and the ops disappear
in the night. A false flag to make it look like
an accident.

Fricking Bolton Neocon Warmonger. He's like a tenacious pitbull who smells steak, isn't he?

Here's the headline Fox put on this story: Israel Has Until Week's End to Strike Iran Nuclear Facility, Bolton Says

The scenario is extremely dire

Given recent Israeli performance we can expect Mossad agents with Irish and Australian passports to slip into Iran in an aid convoy, commandeer the trucks then drive them straight into the fuel rods.

To be followed by a convincing Mark Regev denial with NLP aplenty:

Odd...even Mr-Lizard sent me a u2u claiming im taking this out of context (even though his u2u was one of the most childish things i've ever read)

Childish? All i did was try and remind you that the quote you repeatedly slam around has been taken out of context.

At the end of the day, nobody but the dark profiteers of war wish for any more conflict.

thats for sure

from my part i think they will strike before the fuel rod are in place

I was thinking although it is a LWR, if they want weapons grade plutonium the uranium must spend only several weks in the reactor core and then be removed. In a LWR the reactor have to be shut down completely for this operation.Still though the plutonium is contaminated, this all is easy detectable and a good reason to bomb it afterwards. Ramadan or not, didn't a dozen of hostile countries attacked Israel during their Yom Kippur?..mmm i think they did..

Having a nuclear power plant in itself is not a threat to Israel. There are lots of legitimate reason for having a nuclear power plant, such as keeping the lights on.

It's the by product from such plants that can be turned into military weapons, but that takes a long time from when the power plant starts working.

In my view if Iran's aim is to knock Israel out with a nuclear weapon there are easier and quicker ways of doing that than building a power plant.

Simply buy/get one from somebody with one to spare. Pakistan might have one or two flood damaged going cheap.

So blowing up their power plant is just going to make life even more precarious for Israel.

Iran has already said it will allow weapons inspectors in to see whats going on. Whats the problem ?

I don't see any weapons inspectors reporting from Israel who we think/might/dunno have hundreds of nuclear warheads. Now thats scary.

Another war would accomplish nothing and drag everybody down. This isn't like Nazi Germany taking over Czechoslovakia. Israel should be focused on diplomacy, not military threats. The single overpowering reason for why so many Arab nations like Iran have a grudge against Israel is their relentless treatment of Palestinians. No matter how many times Israel's allies have tried to draw a line, Israel has crossed it. Granted, some of the Palestinian organizations haven't been much better. But in the face of repeated invasions, forced annexations, and mass civilian slaughter I can hardly say I'm surprised about that.

To make matters worse, both Israelis and Palestinians mix their church and state in a way that paints the other side as villains. We've tried for decades to encourage peace between them and they still insist on a "them first" mentality. The threat in Iran is really just an extension of this conflict. Well, if any kind of violence erupts between Israel and Iran the last thing we should do in the US is get involved. If they all want to kill each other so badly, let them. We have enough blood on our hands already.

I'm sick of this bastard.

I hope he dies of an horrible cancer and AIDS mixed together for years.

His warmongering for all those years earned him at least that much.

I say you parachute him over Bushehr with a M-16.

I am not trying to bust on you homey but I am pretty sure your information is wildly inaccurate. I am pretty certain the Jesus is not the prophet or Messiah for the Jewish folk in Israel. I am also pretty certain that they don't believe he will grant them special powers either. Where did you get this information from? From my perspective it kind of appears that someone fed you a load of BS. I suggest you use an alternative information source until you get things straight.

This reactor situation not as simple as it was in Syria or Iraq. Iran will have the right to retaliate and they will with everything they have. Israel knows this. Unless they plan on decapitating the regime with what is essentially total war against Tehran, there is no point to simply bomb the reactor. Israel needs to hit with absolute and overwhelming force to prevent the possibility of a potentially devastating retaliatory strike. A bombing mission against the reactor would be akin to poking a lion in the eyeball. You might stun it, but be prepared to deal with the repercussions following.

And don't for a second think the US is immune. With the Russian S-300s on the border, the only production jet capable of getting through would be the F22 which is strictly in US possession. If we loan a few to the Israelis, we are directly implicated and any lip service we give would be pointless. Iran's first order of business is to block the Strait of Hormuz, sending oil prices in the stratosphere and leveling the already shaky world economy. This is a precise and delicate mission that must be planned and executed to perfection or not at all.

This is probably one of the most important weeks in recent history.
