Start a thread on it.

This poll doesn't agree with Obama. The seem to feel this is not a religious issue but a sensitivity issue.

Do You Agree With Obama?

Yes, we have a duty to protect freedom of religion

No, this is about sensitivity, not religion

Partly, but the mosque's developers still should consider a more appropriate site

I'm sure someone's already said this but the day that Rome can build a Church in Mecca should be the day that this Mosque gets built in NYC.

WTH are you talking about? You said "Equating all Muslims with fundamentalists / extremists is a poor attempt at hiding your hatred of them."

#1 My wife is a Muslim dumb ass
#2 The ones who want to build it said the US should let them have sharia law.

So you see you don't know what or who i was talking to/about and if you don't see how sharia law is a violation of the Constitution and human rights then please stop posting.

No one was ""Equating all Muslims with fundamentalists / extremists " Unless you are saying you know the ones trying to build it are fundamentalists / extremists.

Ps. I would like to say sorry for calling you a dumb ass that was rude. I'm sorry

1) There are already several mosques in New York.

2) Apples and Oranges, this is America, the land of the free, freedom of religion. This is not Saudi Arabia, this is America, just because they don't have Christian churches in Saudi Arabia doesn't mean we should deny freedom of religion to Muslims.

You are joking right? No you are right? lol the best part was when you said about Obama "defend and uphold the constitution" yeah right.

If you think he cares about the constitution then you need to open your eyes and see how he and bush have pissed on constitution.

First of all, that is a Fox News poll. As the poll is only offered on their Fox News show and their Fox News website, it is hardly a reliable poll, especially considering Fox's partisan reputation; the majority of people who go to that website or watch the channel are already predictable in their political opinions.

That said, other polls are still saying that a majority of people seem to think this mosque should be "disallowed." It's frankly disturbing that so many people have such a twisted view of our basic freedoms. As soon as this freedom is granted to somebody they happen to dislike, they don't want it anymore. I can't imagine a more pathetic mob mentality.

Hmmmm. Still looking for that right to sensitivity that made this country great.

...

...

Nope. Cannot find any right to be sensitive anywhere. I do see one about religion though. Oh well, nice try though.

Why should we lower our standards to match anyone else?

Serious question.

FOX News Poll, and you think they are going to be favorable to Obama? Really? Where have you been?

The Right has never been interested in sensitivity, hell these are the same people who want to throw people off of welfare, food stamps, unemployment and medicare! Sensitivity is not a trait of the Right.

1) You read it wrong.

2) You hate your wife. (Don't be ashamed, lot's of men hate their wives.)

How many churches does New York have? How many people? Don't you think that this might just be because a new mosque is needed?

Come on, you are being unfair. Fox News Audience Just 1.38% Black and Fox News has oldest cable audience

Fully representative of the country at large. Everyone knows Obama was only elected by old white people, right?

You people are so funny

What happened to posting something to balance things out? Is it that you like to hear yourself rant?

Post things from other MSM, no one is stopping you.

THESE people said this, add more opinions from the internet to balance it.

Thanks,
sl

Right.. I don't see an issue with putting a mosque near ground zero.. I mean theres been 1 there for a really long time already.. No one made a stink about the mosque that is blocks away from ground zero..

I understand this is not a 911 thread.. So I wont go into the details.. This is just another move, to get people to hate another group of people for their ideas, and way of life!

Please understand, building a mosque is not a bad thing.. Its what America is all about!

Theres so many things screwed up about this, and how people are reacting to this..
Its like you are playing into their hands so well..
Spoon fed propaganda.. And people are lining up for it!

You know what? You are right the op got kicked to the side and no one is posting what the news around the world is saying only what we few here on ATS think.

"THESE people said this, add more opinions from the internet to balance it."

You have a good point. IMO we have to many people who are trying to start something here on ATS or trying to sidetrack a post just for attention. Then other people as well as me get sucked in to the childs play .

So thank you Ima get back to working on this website and leave the kids to fight it out and bicker.

I guess maybe had you presented it as it really is and said "Here is a poll answered by 97% old white people, then I guess it might not have seemed like a deliberate attempt to pass off such a biased agenda driven pile of numbers as something significantly representative of the actual world we live in.

As far as adding opinions to balance things out...

...well you know that I have done that in 30 or 40 of the other 800 mosque threads currently floating around. How many times do I need to repeat myself? Why should I need to dig up a poll to counter your poll. How about I speak for myself? Plenty of you speaking for New York.
