dude, open your eyes and see how this world is working. It is failing big time. I also follow politics and the way TPTB are working they will soon own us as basically slaves. Just look at how the LGBT group is wanting to make them look like the human norm. Something has to change or we will continue this self destruction path we are headed.

Thanks for the post. Honestly, I think some people here are actively rooting on the end of the world because they're under the impression that they will know exactly where to be, how to survive, etc after all of this happens. honestly, none of us know what will happen, so who knows where to be? And I really don't think people are as prepared as they think they are...are you and the 4 members of your family ready to defend yourself against a band of 25-30 raiders who will come to your shelter, kill you, rape your wife and children and then eat them for food? Because that will be the norm, most likely. When humans get desperate, violence and death ensues.

I think people look forward to TEOTW because a lot of things they hear, see and read on ATS and the news is negative. We are engaged in wars, politicians can't be trusted, etc. Does anyone get the feeling that we can go one like this forever? I think hardly. TEOTW seems to be a way to escape from this all -literally and figurally.
Besides, 2012 does not have to be TEOTW. If it's a new beginning, or a global change, then it's even better to hope for because we don't collectively die and things still change!

People truly underestimate how fragile the current man made empire is. One tiny above average solar storm and the whole empire falls in a flash. In 1859 the world was mostly using oil lamps, kerosene lamps and riding horses. And probably many "severe" solar storms before that which people didn't even notice due to lack of technology.

Now though things are very different, the foundation of the world is electricity and electronics. If it repeats then your doomsday will arrive before you started to notice your cellphone stopped working and the cars on the street stopped driving. Such a sudden change of reality will look surreal. I'm sure our current beloved brainwashed masses will erupt in chaos quite quickly. How could they go from American Idol to such a state so suddenly.

I find it funny how people rely so much on things that are a mere decade old. What have you done to prepare for such event? That's a rhetoric question.

That's it exactly, people are sick of the lies, corruption, diciept, poison and pollution.
The over centralization of everything we know has led to a huge imbalance. We no longer have time for the important stuff because everything is so complex and controlled. When it takes ingredients from 5 countries just to make dinner something is severely wrong.

Things will and must change that much is obvious because our present course is not sustainable.

This is where all 2012ers go wrong, the calendar which you talk about ending in 2012, the long count calendar, was invented by the OLMEC civilization, the mayans simply adopted it. Another thing, the long count calendar today is of little relevance to mayans of today. And if you everybody seems to think this calendar is so powerful, then why do none of you believe that, as stated in the long count, the world was created on august 11 3114 b.c.?

Dude look i'm all for finding nibiru ok, but i've tried looking at the sun through a telescope with a very powerfull UV filter ect... and i'm having trouble finding it other than some serve bloody solar eruptions!!!

You call people who don't believe in 2012 blind? Seriously, I think you're the person who sees things that aren't there (yah, I know, as opposed to blindness). I don't see more light than I used to do outside. Perhaps you did become more sensitive to light? Bringing up that argument of yours is a truly weak one if you want to convince us really. It's totally subjective.

I am not hoping for mass destruction because I still believe that there will be better days for us without destruction, but...

Lot of people are desperate, lot of people don't live regular life on this planet , they just try to survive from today to tomorrow. They are broken inside, already dead. So they hate lives, and everything else, and they want that mass destruction. Also, that people hope that something bad like mass destruction will happen, so things can be better after that, so life can change to better. But if some mass destruction happen, no one will see the light. Heroes exits only in movies.

About proof... I am very sure that there is no proof, just some theories. I read about doom day theories with open mind, but I don't really buy them without some real proof. I don't found real proof yet for any of them.

If some mass destruction happen, I will try to survive, but I will probably die. As I say, heroes exits only in movies. Real life is something else.

We survive a lot of "end of the world" days from various prediction. We didn't even notice all of them. Don't worry, we will survive 2012 end of the world, and others ends of the worlds

2012 is mentioned and extremely relevant in many ancient cultures such as the Hopi, Aztec and the Mayas.

Has it crossed anyone else's mind that the significance of 2012 predicted by all these ancient civilisations could just be a lie? I mean, unless you had researched and was well-assimilated in the Mayas, Aztec and Hopi, how would you know? All of these different ancient civilisations on different sides of the planet all predicting the significance of 2012 seems a bit too convenient to me. It seems more likely to me that this whole thing is manufactured, and the notion of many different civilizations all predicting the importance of 2012 is a lie to give this fast-approaching apocalypse a bit more credibility. Even NASA have come into the fray and are now propagating 2012 scare stories with solar storms apparently frying worldwide telecommunications taking us back to the stone-age. Here's my take on 2012: it's either a moneymaking scam or the beginning of Agenda 21's worldwide implementation. Not the end of the world, but a "wrenching transformation in society" as Al Gore says.

Look i can already tell whats gonna happen, there will be a mass hysteria in the next few years... a solar storm will block out all electrics for 3 days meaning the bible 3 dark nights and it's only temporary anyway

there was another interesting read i found about us graduating in the eys of the galaxy as we cross the ecliptic plain and i reckon this has some serious scientific reason as to why there are more earthquakes and storms ect...

some people stipulate the centre of the milky way is a black hole, although i reckon nobody bloody well knows this!!! and although everyones predicting 2012 i reckon without any real evidence

3 days? So after 3 days all the semi conductors magically repair themselves? Electronics aren't made out of wood you know. Factories who build them run on them and last time I checked the recyclability of electronics sucks! If a single chip on your motherboard dies then the whole thing is junk, same goes for your cellphone, tv, radio...

It's actually unbelievable how fragile it is considering humans are aware of what the sun can do. Great minds like Tesla have come with alternatives, the patent office is filled novel patents on protecting electronics from severe emp like effects yet none of the solutions are used.

For me personally I can't wait for it to happen.
