Negative find your own room I don't like enclosed spaces especially with the boring, and I don't like selflessness or those who preach something that they have no clue about, like I said you want to be like the Buddha go up on a mountain and meditate for 40 years, just make sure you don't starve to death or get killed in a couple of weeks. Other then that I have no problems with you...carry on.

Another thing pertaining to this thread...forget trying to understand females logically no matter what they say, there logic is different then males. All our logics and thoughts are emotionally driven. We can never truly understand one another only agree that we understand each other, so arguing about woman from a mans perspective is futile, just as arguing about man from a woman's perspective is futile.

Thoughts are the shadows of our feelings - always darker, emptier and simpler. Friedrich Nietzsche.

We are not equal, and will never be one. So lets agree that we are equally different and move on.

Blessed are the forgetful: for they get the better even of their blunders. Friedrich Nietzsche

Dude seems to be right on this, so forgive and forget and move on.

We are all consciousness, therefore all equal. Gender, masculine/feminine doesn't come into this equation if we look at who we are spiritually. And ultimately we are all the same, it could be said that we are in fact one of the same aspect of unity consciousness.

Male/female, animal, mountain, we are all made of stars.

can't for the life of me figure out why you are so desperate to be right on this issue

LOL. A firm ''no'' on both counts.

People who are diametrically opposed on any given issue, tend to argue a lot on issues that are discussed on ATS.

Why do you think it's noteworthy that that trend is occurring on this subject matter ?

I can't figure out what your problem is here.

Women are not weaker than men in any of those areas. A single woman can be, but women in general are not.

Do you have anything to back up your statement with, or are you just SAYING that women are not weaker than men?

Nor are men weaker than women in those areas. A single man can be, but men in general are not.

Do you actually KNOW if what you are saying is TRUE, or are you just saying what you WANT to be true?

The only area where I believe, and can prove, that men are stronger than women is strictly in terms of physical strength. That's just biology.

So, I suppose that Mentally, Emotionally, etc.... these areas are not "Covered" by biology?

It does not sound like you want the truth.

Honestly... it sounds like you are trying to be a Parent, Arbitrating a discussion between two children.

"YOU ARE BOTH RIGHT" you scream from the front seat....

But are you RIGHT? or are you just trying to make emotional appeals?

Women have been "Oppressed" since the Dawn of Time by Men.

As is claimed by every women in the entire world, at least 5 times before lunch.

You tell me how that makes them "Not Weaker" than men.

Seriously.... there is a difference between what you WANT to be true, and what REALITY actually *IS*

What do you *MEAN* when you say that women are not weaker than men....

Be specific.

I want you to be specific enough that we can either Prove or Disprove your statements.

Because anything else is wasting space, and time.

Hate to break it to you bub, but I was being specific already. If you feel the need to tear down the arguments I've already made, feel free. I even posted links in a few of my posts if you'd like to disprove those. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one who's said that men can be just as weak as women in everything but physical strength. I'm not sure what your game is yet, but I can tell you now I won't play it with you. Nor will I repeat everything I've already said just for you. What it sounds like is that I struck a nerve somewhere saying that men can be weak. And if that's all it comes down to then I hate to break it to you but the truth hurts.

it seems this is more than just an argument to you though, what with all the taunting, trolling and unnecessary mocking...from your comments i'd be inclined to think you are arguing from an emotional standpoint as oppose to a logical one, ironic considering that's one of the things you claim make women weak if i'm not mistaken. fair enough i suppose people can't help but turn a little bit emotional when the heat is on, i'll be nice and give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that's whats happening here.

you wanna to stick to your guns, i get it, cool, some people's egos need feeding more than others, or maybe you really do believe everything you're saying. no problem. it's ok to have differing views but at this point i think it's obvious no one is going to change your stance and i'm pretty sure you're not going to change anyone else's either. i think you'd agree the logical thing to do here is agree to disagree? as oppose to taunting and throwing out snide remarks with the hopes of prolonging a debate that isn't destined to go anywhere anyway. comes off as immature and insecure.

oh well, to each their own i suppose~

btw what's your girlfriend like?

There has been no trolling or unnecessary mocking on my part.
If you are referring to my claims of victory over Jenna, then I would hope that that would not be taken entirely seriously, as it was intended to be tongue-in-cheek.

If I sounded unduly emotional, then that emotion was frustration at having points misconstrued and misrepresenting.

I do believe what I'm saying. It's nothing to do with ego.

I don't mind disagreement, - it would be a pretty boring site if there wasn't any - what I objected to was having my comments twisted into something that they weren't supposed to be.

Trust me, it's frustrating holding a discussion where in between debating genuine points, you suddenly have to field a question about a point that you never made.

Still, I'm not going to cry about it !

This one will probably get removed for being too sexy or offensive since it crosses a lot of lines. I don't even know what I think of it. Empowering women? Curious to hear thoughts.

LOL.
That's not offensive.
I actually thought it was rather amusing, and had a clever punch-line.

You see, this is what I'm on about in regards to so many women being weak.

Those 10 tips on ''empowerment'' are just normal things that people should do anyway.

It's cringe-making that some women have to desperately try to convince themselves and anybody else that will listen that they're ''empowered'' ''independent'' or ''strong''.

These things should be taken for granted, and the fact that some women need to boast about ''achieving'' normality, speaks volumes about their inherent weakness.

Also, that Maya Angelou quote is hardly gender specific.
It's just a variation on ''It is better to have tried and failed than to never have tried at all'' and taking positives from a negative experience.

I have to say when I read these tips I thought the same thing.

I'd say yes considering women and men have had different roles and places in various cultures.

In America, at least, women are still considered less then men physically and in many cases emotionally.

Here's the 2 big points:

1) Women do not seem to care that much

and

2) Women do not want to be equal to men, but rather have the advantages without (or at least limiting) the downside or liability.

They don't mind playing inferior sports like softball or dumbed down lacrosse or even having a closer tee in golf. Women don't seem to mind that men have almost ALL of the dangerous jobs, jobs that expose you to the elements frequently or for lengthy periods of time, or that only men have to sign up for the draft.

Personally, I (being a man) am more for equal rights than practically every woman I've ever met.

I do not think women are weak because they are intellectually, emotionally, or physically inferior (which they are not). I think women are weak because they are too complacent and unwilling to take their place as our equals.

Until then, they should shut up about the pay gap, or anything else for that matter.

Peace
KJ

I got this in an email...

A woman walked into the kitchen to find her
Husband stalking around with a fly swatter

"What are you doing?"
She asked.

"Hunting Flies", He responded.

"Oh. ! Killing any?"

She asked.
"Yep, 3 males, 2 Females," he replied.
Intrigued, she asked.....
"How can you tell them apart?"
He responded,
"3 were on a beer can,
2 were on the phone."

It is sexist jokes like this that enforce stereotypical behavior.

Let's look at this idea.

Women who are "promiscuous" are considered "sluts", while men who are "promiscuous" are .... patted on the back and adding notches to their bedpost. To me, it is definitely conditioning of women and men that men are just "sewing their oats" while women are "being loose".

They are actually doing the EXACT same thing.

That's because no effort is required for any half-decent woman to have sex with a plethora of men.
She can come up to men and say: ''Do you want no strings-attached sex with me'' and 9 out of 10 men will take the woman up on the offer.

]

If this is so, I would say that you just argued that women are obviously the "stronger" sex as she has the strength, capability and will to say no, when according to your argument men are too weak to say no.

ROFLMAO
