Regardless it is an issue that should be addressed.

You seem to eager to shut down the discussion. Why?

And here is a second reply, which you probably will believe less than my previous answer.
I don't want to be a fish of a troll thread. If you want to argue it on an argumentative base, lets open a thread for yourself.

Because I am a muslim terorrist, who is beating his wife on daily basis. Are you happy now?

Why would you respond in that tone?

You are being way to defensive we can communicate, your denying this is an issue is telling.

Very concerting.

Ok, open a thread. But begin with substantial arguments.
By the way, why is this thread under "US Political Madness"?

Don't be so offended, I do understand your desire to paint a clear picture of what Islam is all about, I understand your need to defend something you love,

I am a Christian Buddhist new age weirdo, I studied many religions and love the beauty in all of them, but there is skeletons in all our closets, I had a hard time learning the negative things about Christianity and I think sometimes it still get a bad rap.

I defend it many times,

so I understand.

You are wrong. I am an agnostic, living in a ME country. And I can live my "belief" (agnosticism) quite open here. What I am angry is your labeling style (as you labeled me as a Muslim). There is no one Middle East, there is no one Female, there is no one culture here.
The problem is exactly this New Age weirdo things, which has no clue about different cultures, different views, which shouldn't "omg love each other" pretentiousness. And, there is no single nature, mother earth bla bla, as you think.
Be more open in your thoughts..Stop new age, and begin to read...NOW.

I agree but what we're doing is not accomplishing anything but causing more death and misery. What do you suggest? I think the difference is the South African people themselves desired change. They had a common goal, a movement within the people.

I really don't see muslim women rioting in the streets shouting out for equal rights for their muslim sisters. Maybe a few blow themselves up but Idk if that's a good way to protest. So this tells me either the problems are no worse than the abuses that go on in this country every day or muslim women are denying it.

On the one side we have people crying over abuses/oppression and others proclaiming how progressive ME women are. Which is it? At this point I'm not sure what to think.
I could say the same thing about women in the USA that are beaten repeatedly by their husbands and never do a thing about it because they are AFRAID. Should I watch it happen and do nothing?

I think not, in this country it would be breaking a law.

Tell me why don't abused women rise up against their husbands in our 'civilized' countries? Should we say " to hell with them! They can call the cops!"?

Are the stories of girls being denied an education in Afghanistan all propaganda? Why don't those little girls rise up with all their 'Might' and smite their oppressors? For the same reason the South African blacks didn't, they don't have the power to do it.

Thats true. I am too much the pedagog these days. This is also unfortunatly my job in real life. I just don't like ignorance or people pretending to know everything although it is just the opposite.

I am sorry but you should go to a high hill and meditate for world peace and stop worry about "3rd world countries".
But, for a little chance, bring some books with you (not new age crap), maybe there can be chance later. (For book advices, leave me a pm.)
