People don't understand that there are 435 US congressmen, and any one of them can introduce a bill. In this case it looks like two congressmen submitted it and it got very little support, not a tangible threat to gun freedoms in the US.

I also find it a little disturbing and evident of fear mongering that the originator of the email automatically associated the bill of two Republican congressmen with Obama's administration without offering any proof.

This email offers a skewed version of reality as it was written for the explicit purpose of drumming up support for the Tea Party and should be taken with a grain of salt.

First and Foremost, I am not for or against the two individuals below.
What has Glen Beck and Sarah Palin done to anyone? Just two people expressing their belief and what they feel the present government is doing.

The present issue today is the present government (president and congress) are taking this Great Country and the majority of the people on these forums in the wrong direction period....

We must continue to express our beliefs and pass on information about the above direction. This will pretend control of our beliefs and resistance to that direction.

IMHO I dont think we will lose our 2nd A. rights to a bill that is brought in broad daylight for every one to see. It will be a quick knee jerk reaction from the PTB.
OK say for instance the south, Az. or any other state tries to secede from the union and it turns in to a civil war. Or the threat of militias being ramped up gets the other guberments on edge. So the UN send in the so called "Peace keepers" or some other world body sends in their troops to stabilize the fractured country "US"

Take Pakistan for example they have nukes and they have terrorists and the two dont mix "from the US view". OK now you have the US with nukes and infighting from different factions north or south black or wight Hispanic against them all who knows? So the world body says "Hey we cant have this riff raff incharge of nuke keys" so welcome the peace keepers or the coalition of who knows what. That way it wont have anything to do with LEOs or our NG. Gun owners will be just insurgents an another target.

Both men stated over their dead bodies.

However you are right, We MUST keep our guard up and our voices loud and strong. Both Obama and Hillary are in favor of the treaty.

And what is this talk about the French Army contemplating buying the 'cheaper' Chinese made assault rifles? Will this affect French Canadians who are also in a quandry about the reliability of 'Cheaper to purchase' Chinese made assault rifles?

I don't believe you even read what I wrote other than the first line. Had you, you would have realized that Democrats are going to get the guns, but not the traditional method in which they tackle the 2nd Amendment.

And for anyone that still thinks keeping a look-out on the Supreme Court agenda for indication there's a problem, you are looking in the wrong direction -- exactly where they want you to look.

A decade ago, the calculus was simple: Those who wanted greater gun control aligned with the Democrats. And those who wanted fewer restrictions on guns turned to the Republicans.

No longer.

Off topic, I thought it was against con. law for a pres. to occupy two seats of governing during his term.

I'm beginning to think that Obama was a test tube child actually created by the NRA - every time he blinks at a picture of a gun or thinks of the letter g 800 new guns are sold in America.

I know some fools who bought 8 maybe 10 guns last year and enough ammo to win a small war all based on him being elected.

Its kinda funny but I'd sooner believe the rumor that a law has passed requiring everyone to join the nra than one stating the sky is blue at this point.

Obama chaired a meeting as in he led a debate. And anything like this would have to go through congress. And even if it passed then it would only outlaw large scale arms tranfers to certain rebel groups that commit genocide or use child soldiers. This has nothing to with personal fire arms. Not that it will ever pass in the US or the UN.
