I've read this entire thread. How shameful we wish harm to any other human being. I am regreteful for voting for Obama; as he did not keep his campaign promises. However, he is now the cheif in commander. As much as I regret and disagree with him, never would I wish his demise. Support him, he inherited the mess we are in.

However, I am quite disappointed he strayed egregiously from his campaign promises.

I feel let down in a huge way. We have been misled, yet I realize Oboma has other powers to reckon with. Some call him a puppet, I think he is just simply inexperienced and easily vied by our military industrial complex.

I am sooooo very disappointed and regretful. I hate even saying that. Hopefully, during midterms he wakes up to the people and follows through his original promises. Unfortunately, I feel very let down by a promising human being.

Please....tell me what he's done that is a positive for our country.

What? He hasn't gone LEFT... far enough for you?

And again....tell me about this "promising human being" of yours.

If it was a Republican that had to have a teleprompter tied to his side every time he made a statement, they'd be calling him a freaking moron.

Yikes....I hate this American Idol culture.

Guy can't put two freaking sentences together coherently in an impromtu setting. But he reads a script and suddenly he's a "promising human being".

Voting "present" takes so much courage, doesn't it?

The guy couldn't effectively run my neighborhood 7-11

Reagan/Bush, then Bush/Quayle then Clinton/Gore then Bush/Cheney.

That is what ruined this country. They sucked up to and deregulated big business and banks until our jobs went over seas and the pigs finally crashed the system. Wake up, wake up, wake up.

I can't believe people are agreeing with what those older individuals said. Agreeing with this point of view makes you are an enemy of democracy, a murderer, a traitor, and a coward.

People always love to have a scape goat. The president has relatively limited powers in the American political system, and things were crumbling long before he got into office, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Seems like a "bait" thread to me.

Let's see how many people want to kill the president so they can go on the list!

I don't think anyone should be murdered because of their beliefs... or because they're a tool.

LOL! No....my Sicilian grandmother had an Infant of Prague statue on her mantel. Under plastic, with the eternal flame burning.

"That" Baby Jesus.

Hey...if they can wish George Bush to choke to death on a pretzel, I can wish Obama going down in the Atlantic or Pacific....or the Gulf of Mexico.

Just go!

It's exactly what the impression I got right from the start.

Let's see how many ATS posters want to harm the POTUS.

Smelled it a mile away.

hi guys so sad to see what is happening to your country, being from new zealand obviously i cannot see it from the groud level,is it actually as bad as what the local media here make it our to be?

also a few months ago in a pub conversation with a few mates i basically said obama is a darker version of george bush to which i was promptly called a racist,to which i simply replied "name 1 thing obma's done that bush couldnt have done himself."

the way he casually strolled around the gulf oil spill (keep in mind this is an outsiders point of view) put a finger or 2 in a gloop of oil was to me reminicent of the way bush put on some gumboots (cant remember if actually did do that) & strolled around your beautiful city of new orleans after katrina shaking hands giving the occasional hug & whatnot.

Yeah...that 'bastard' Ronald Reagan, who brought us out of the Malaise of Jimmy Carter and essentially gave us an 18 year economic expansion?

You'd like my bumper sticker.

"White, self-employed Christian Conservative Republican.
How else may I piss you off today?"

The first person who responded to you is very very very typical. Low intelligence. High emotion, Very very VERY American.

Sorry, It's that simple.

There are 2 words that stop ANYONE who ever thinks about harming the president and those are

NANCY PELOSI...

It would mean she was one heartbeat away from the presidency.

Truely, I agree with you. Very disappointed here. However, he is the Commander in Chief ( I said it wrong earlier).

Voting, writing, supporting other incumbents, and taking a lead in your political positions is your best weapon. Do you not write your congressmen or your senators? I do. Instead of being full of bile, do something about it.

Those people don't realize that killing obama wont help the situation. The problems our country is facing is way bigger than obama. WAY BIGGER. Heck its even bigger than bush. This perfect storm started decades ago. I voted for obama and i did have hope. I continued to learn how we got ourselves into this situation. To be honest i don't think he or anyone can really get us out of it.

OH and fox is very bias. But so is msnbc they have a left leaning bias themselves. My aunt only watches msnbc and she acts in a simliar way as the fox news viewers. Its a shame we have become a society of extremes. I too fear whats happening to our country. The coperations, MSM and extremist have damaged the citizen's ablity to think rationally.

these old farts come from one of the most bloodthirsty generations that ever inhabited the earth. this is the generation the followed hitler in europe and bombed the japanese with atomic warheads. some of them have seen more death and war than the four horsemen of the apocalypse. killing obama wouldn't even make page 7 of the newspaper in their time.

What if they faked an assassination attempt and blamed it on conspiracy theorists?

It could get Obama re-elected out of sympathy
Could create martial law.
Could ban all bad talk against the government.

What if putting out stories about people talking about killing Obama is just a way to get people to accept it if it happens?Like.."Hey I heard Obama almost got assassinated"-anybody..."Yeah I heard people saying that people were out to get him because he lied about everything, and is ruining our country"-anybody else

Sometimes I wonder if all this "talk" does more harm then good.I'm at a stand still when it comes to "waking people up"....Is it better to not know what really goes on?Just think, before the internet all there was,was the JFK assassination. Now that we have the internet all these new things about the NWO and the freemasons/illuminati never really existed(to us) until the internet came out(could be why Jay Rockefeller "wished the internet never existed")and now that all this information is so easily available people are getting paranoid because they don't know what to believe.

Some would say it's better to live inside the box.ME?....I'm not sure.

I wouldn't be surpised if that really happened. Most msm outlets just play on the fears of the people anyway. That will be the thing that sends this country to the depths of hades. I pray it never happens.

Not at all, but I don't blame you for being skeptical. Don't take the bait, if you feel it's bait. Easy enough.

Actually, I've been overall surprised by the level of thought and civility in this thread. I was very worried it would not be so. It's a potentially explosive topic, but it hasn't been all that harshly skewed. Maybe there's some hope after all.

If we stay away from the hard discussions, we might never get over or differences?
