What does penetration have to do with it? I don't care how many fantasies young boys have about their teachers. They need to learn to control them selves. And if some of the teachers flirted or teased their students, they are even more guilty.
Especially in these times with all of the STDs around? A teacher is in a position to potentially infect her students. Even if condoms are used, there is no such thing as "safe sex". Condoms are made to stop sperm cells. A virus is a million times smaller.

Uhm... the Universal DESCRIPTIVE laws enabled them!

And Yet I do fully agree with you that the women in these positions of authority TOTALLY compromised themselves and quite possibly the public at large respect for those positions of authority by not declaring an UNACCEPTABLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST!

But I as a male and once a young male student must state my own biases [valid or not] as they would be where I would come from when being assessed whether on not to be accepted as a member of a jury panel!

IMO once students are 13 yrs and older [any gender, disposition and orientation etc.] they are quite able to handle their own sexuality if encouraged and not oppressed! Transparency and communication are key!!!

But I also seriously would not have wanted any person [student or teacher] I may have been sleeping with during my high school years to be grading my papers!!! Again transparency and communication are key!!!

Teaching is best done by INDEPENDANT experts!!!

Personal Disclosure: BUT... I have a g/f 18yrs my senior [OL is 37 so you do the math OK!] and she is an EXCELLENT swimming coach... if I paid her for swimming lessons then should I cease intimate sexual relations with her for that semester of swim school???

P.S. I seriously didn't care about any of my high school male mates having sexual trysts with any of the female teachers who weren't also teaching any of my chosen subjects ... it was sorta an unbroken and unspoken rule that the ladies in maths and english were taboo fruit to go tasting as nobody had any choice in those classes or teachers etc. as who wants to become an outcast amongst friends???

Yes , some teachers are very young. They have lost everything just because they slept with some 17 year old hunk or some other boy who was happy to prove his sexuality.

I even think that some did it because they felt the sexual frustration of the student and were trying to help.

I'm pretty sure teacher student relations are a very small factor in STD infection rates.

The problem lies in allowing such a slim age differential between students and teachers. I firmly believe that young teachers have no business teaching in high schools...these things happen more because of it.

There was a kid in Northern California about 6-7 years ago, at 21 the school hired him to be a girls' varsity V-ball coach. Well, this kid had gone to school there, and knew many of the girls on the team. Guess what happened? It's almost like a set-up sending young adults into high schools like that.

Detectives arrested Kari Atkinson after receiving an anonymous tip. Atkinson teaches at Sandcreek Middle School in Ammon.

Boondock - thanks for posting. Last time I saw that video I think it was new and MTV actually played music vids. Got to see the boys play it a couple of times too.

part of that rule when you allow the thread itself to be
posted. It is sexually oriented within itself. If you're gonna allow

On subject, without initialisms to reference her, there is one teacher I noticed on the list, whom, sleeping with a fourteen-year-old, received only two years of probation - Teresa Engelbach. I can't seem to find a news article on the subject and have only come across a blog that states since she had no history of criminal activity and did not physically abuse the boy, she received a light sentence. The boy also received gifts from her including a phone, some clothing and shoes, a laptop computer and a $750 paintball gun.

This line from the judge is priceless:

"I certainly hope that you realize the highly inappropriate nature of your behavior!"

I also noticed that their pictures are rather creepy. Especially the eyes. Some of them have a zombie-like look or they look possessed or something.
