Yes I know we have been moving backwards for the last thirty years. But do not forget that many of these corporate elites that are now running things are predominately socialists.

David Rockefeller for example a socialist and owns JPMorgan Chase and many others.

I found a really interesting realty company here called Vornado Realty Trust, just take a look at wealthy and powerful they have become.

They're socialist because of all forms of large government it's the only one people might accept these days. No one wants fascism, and people are hating on capitalism so having a clear and open corporate dictatorship wouldn't work. And religion isn't what it was in the past so you can't control people with that either.

That is the only reason for the prevalence and propagation of socialism and communism, because it opens a path for those who want power to get it and to get it with the support of the people.

In the end though no matter what you call it, all of these forms of government are the same. Big government, lots of regulations and victimless laws, destruction of freedom in the individual, and the destruction of the middle class.

You can call it corporatism, socialism, fascism, theocracy, monarchy, etc, etc, etc, but in the end all I see is statism and authoritarianism. It just so happens they use different rhetoric and highlight a different individual as the dick treating everyone else like pieces of #.

Thats a lot of "what ifs" Yea sure it could happen or it couldnt all we can do it let things happen as they are and see what happens, and make decsions from there.

I agree with your assessment for sure. Reaction is what gets us in trouble every time. 911 was a hardcore example of that.

Isn't that how war is based in the first place? You must cover all options before going forward with something that costs lives. Correct? So, if you don't propose the what ifs, then you could easily be caught off guard later. You know the expression, "its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

Yep, I am behind this statement all the way. Most people are still divided by their partisan differences without looking at the big picture. Both sides are serving the same master.

Closed borders means controlled borders. No more American fugitives fleeing to Mexico, no more unregulated and uncontrolled trade between the USA and USM. I imagine that controlling the drug trade is a key element of legalizing drugs (European countries have shorter and more easily patrolled borders, no wonder they feel comfortable setting up legal drug monopolies!). I imagine that the goal of drug prohibition is to set up the necessary bureaucracies for a totally regulated drug trade, and to persecute independent producers and suppliers that refuse to abide by FDA rules. Similar to alcohol prohibition, really; eventually it will be repealed and the trade will be almost totally government-regulated.

Mexico-America border clashes; they're a good thing.

I am glad to see someone else believes that the violence is a conspiracy to get people to react. The assassins are paid by government agents. The bomb that went off in Juarez last week (just a few miles from me) was planted by one faction of the police to blow up another faction of the police. All paid for by cartels. It is not the drug dealers behind the violence, it is the police. The drug dealers have nothing to gain from blowing people up.

Very interesting post there. I would have to say that everything that came out of your post made complete sense. This would be the reason why so many states have already decriminalized marijuana usage. Its on the horizon for sure.

Excellent post and star from me.

Yep, I would have to agree. Its interesting to watch it unfold, but, I hate to see people fall for such a blatant trap.
