BP is testing now! Turn on CNN, oil has stopped spewing from the main pipe line!

O ya, dispersant's have been going 24 7. That in itself is going to be an environmental problem in the future. But first things first

I'm no expert so i don't want to make assumptions but does the gauge indicate zero pressure? Screen shot about 15 min ago when they shut the valves for testing. You can see in the 3rd pic that the valves are closed from main leak.

I would think it means the valve isn't closed to try and stop it -- oil is flowing freely?

o #, good catch i'm not sure, but it certainly looks like it! I have a feeling based on the past that BP Is gonna have even more problems!

Oh hell! It looks worse than ever! It is totally spewing out right now.

Even if it is stopped, what about all the fissures in the ocean floor???

That will be a problem! Bill the science guy said the pressure may cause it to come up from the sea floor. Only time will tell!

Alright so CNN just explained that they are still closing valves in 6 hour intervals, and when they get to the last one it will be called the choke(granted they get tho the last one) and it will be like the cap itself or something and when they close that it' all over!

I want to email BP cant we flood them with emails telling them to stop or something maybe our state senators mayors governors aretn they supposed to be our voice DAMNIT... rant over I hate BP ok now its over.

I will believe it when I see it. If this leak could have been stopped to begin with, it would have been done days or a week after the explosion on the rig. I am being realistic here, and as usual it seems the MSM isn't. I just think this new cap, which again was designed only for this situation and never used on anything before, is just for show. Another way for BP to say "we tried."

Can someone PLEASE explain to me what the two different Skandi ROV's are looking at?

Skandi-ROV 1 is looking at a crazy plume of oil spewing wildly, while Skandi-ROV 2 is looking at a super strong, but steady and not wild, stream of oil spewing straight up?

Boa Deep C - ROV 2 is looking at the same oil gush as Skandi ROV 2 right now...but Skandi ROV 1 really looks to be on something different.

Well just heard on local news in Atlanta that BP has found another leak in the pipe going to the ships and will be working on it today. That sure does explain what we are probably seeing here.

Each ROV is looking at a different spot on the well/cap. There are 2 spots of spewing oil currently (at least at a high flow rate).

Guess they should have kept quiet until the flow was stopped.

Wonder what else they might find when close all the valves. Oh yeah they say it will be another 48 hrs before they have results.

Ok, that makes sense. But where is the second plume in relation to the riser? And is anyone else seeing wild fluctuations in the volume of oil pouring out? Is that a result of them closing off the valves? But if so, why would it vary so much?

The yellow circles is where the central pipe is...where the oil *was* flowing from. The other leak/spew is seen clearly in this shot. There are currently 2 spews, but this was taken last night/early AM so is only showing one in this screen shot:
