I'll take a stab at that one (even though I guess we're just supposed to be posting rather than discussing images/videos).

The reason gliders (including paragliders) are able to stay aloft and gain altitude is because of rising air. There are two primary causes of rising air; slope lift (caused by wind being forced upward when encountering a hill) and thermal lift (caused by rising columns of heated air). For the most part soaring pilots seek these things out.

Thermals can often be very energetic, often pulling things off of the ground. Things like gear bags and tents. That looks like a nylon gear bag to me. I think there may be a paraglider pilot cursing the sky gods somewhere off camera.

It's always a great pleasure to discuss things with you in-thread!

Although the witness reports do not really corellate with the "object in thermal" hypothesis.....

After watching your video I can see how an object such as a gear bag could cause such a sighting.

On balance, one would have to say it is more likely the witness report is erronous, than it is the object is an alien spacecraft "decloaking" or "warping in" from another dimension!.

I'm watching this thread with interest.
I have too say I haven't seen too much that is "undebunkable" yet.
I haven't looked into the alleged Nellis thing, but I am very sceptical.

The Nellis footage has always been one of my favorites. As a person who has been developing remote sensing technologies for many years what got me about this footage is that the telemetry overlays on the video are genuine custom application (read high tech and extremely expensive) analog representations of actual data. The data from them correlates perfectly with the cameras motion and the objects motion and they represent actual parameters that would be used for monitoring aircraft in test situations. The the methods employed by this technology also fits the era. The object in the footage may be fake (though I don't know how given the video's particular vintage) but the footage itself is not.

UFO ( Unidentified) didn't say it was driven by aliens and if you want to get technical about Extraterrestrials. How can they be extraterrestrial when they were here way before humans?

I know I risk sounding like a bit of a debunker with this one but...
I see objects moving like this quite a bit when looking through my thermal imager at night but when ever I take my eyes away from the monitor to see what it is with the naked eye it always turns out to be a moth.
