Modern science disagree's with you.

"Although a person's genetic makeup may contribute to obesity, it's not the primary cause. Environmental and behavioural factors have a greater influence - consuming excess calories from high-fat foods and doing little or no daily physical activity over the long run will lead to weight gain. Psychological factors may also foster obesity. Low self-esteem, guilt, emotional stress, or trauma can lead to overeating as a means to cope with the problem. "

As for the original mail...bwahahahaha, it's stupid...funny stupid.

And too whomever said they could do this about any country, can you do Canada? I would like to laugh more.

Those who have deceived the American public have committed those crimes and many Americans are beginning to wake up to that fact. And now the very same creeps who have deceived America through false flag terror and corporate propaganda into committing these global crimes are now going online to blame the same American public that they deceived.

You better hope all Americans don't wake up.

that's okay, the medical community still hasn't realized the emotional and mental make up is also genetic, when it comes to things like obesity. in fact, i'd say the whole planet is oblivious to how important emotions are in the larger scheme of things. most of our issues are inherently and basically traced right back to emotional and mental issues. i wouldn't be surprised if they discovered that obesity and the propensity for the obese to use food as an emotional release valve, are genetically entwined from the outset. one person gets upset and punches a tree. another person gets upset and eats a gallon of ice cream. etc.

anyway, this "america is fat," thing is bs. we just have a large population of people who live past 30.

I've read quite a bit of threads since I joined and I have to admit that this is the cheapest cheap shot I've seen so far.

I'm not american, I'm canadian and if this was directed at Canada, I would most surely take offense.

An email? If I got such garbage, I would hit delete after reading the first paragraph. But you decide to post it and see what comes out of this ??

I am extremely tolerant but I agree with someone else that recommended this whole thread should be deleted.

I just don't see any good coming out of this biased crap.

yes, i do know and realize all these things.

:shk:

more and more, lately, i am ashamed of my country. not my fellow citizens but our so-called leaders.

i am disappointed that we, the people, have not been vigilant as our founding fathers warned us to be.

i am obligated, presently, to remain in the land of my birth because i am the only caregiver my mom has and she is my #1 priority for the rest of her life - and she won't even move across town much less across the national border and especially not overseas.

i am presently doing a few things to try to do my part to change this despicable situation, and it's on my mind almost all the time about what i can do and how i can be the change i want to see in my country. everything i think of that i can do, or hear of someone else doing, i will do.

this state of mind has only just come to the forefront of my existence since the oil spill...it made me delve into some other things and frankly, i am shocked. i already knew of our reputation abroad and also how we are backwards in so many things compared to other nations, but i didn't realize how bad it really was, internally. i had other things in life keeping me occupied but now i have a new crusade.

i have always been proud to be an American but not because of the way things are now...but because of the noble truths and awesome efforts that were made to bring this country into being. i see so much that is profound and forward thinking in the documents upon which the US was founded, and i don't even fault the forefathers for not being able to live up to their own ideals.

after all ideals are just that, ideals. they were drafting a future for their fledgling nation, a future that has already arrived but is not in line with their blueprint.

i have faith, and determination, that one day this land will be what it was conceived to be, in the hearts and minds of the men who founded it and believed in the principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

i also believe in altruism and being a good neighbor and non-violence and peace and living in harmony with our Mother Earth.

my political party is "egalitarian"

it's ridiculous discrimination.

What does the author mean by 'rest of the world' is not clear... Even though I am not an American and I do not go around supporting it, I don't agree with most of the comparisons as shown in the images, don't have time to elaborate though...

like this?

Have you noticed you've been the only country starting wars of aggression for the past several decades? If not for America's racism and lust for oil, world peace might actually be attainable!

that is true!
absolutely.

globally, $1 trillion is spent on national defense, all combined.
the US spent $742 billion on national defense last year.
that is 3/4 of the total spent!
and meanwhile, billions starve for lack of food.
the UN estimates it would only take $195 billion a year to alleviate world hunger.
if the US stopped war, the world could have a full belly.

that is SHAMEFUL and it is the truth!
:shk:

and so many countries in Europe are doing great things to live in harmony with Mother Nature.

i'm not sure but i think Americans are proven to be some of the most unhealthy citizens in all the world...fast food was invented in America.

many Americans are racist and they make their views known loud and clear - and this is the melting pot, supposedly.

the thing is, we don't live up to the ideals that we espouse.
i wonder if we even try.

i, for one, would love to see us change, because we want to.

the first step is admitting things are not what we'd like them to be or what we want to believe.

Generalisations can also hold merit and truth.

MOST points made in those images, at the very least, are generally true for America.

Nasty and hateful, sure, but non the less a fair assessment of the average American. Whether you enlightened individuals want to accept it or not.

One thing missing from the image is that Americans are some of the most brainwashed on earth. Their media and educational system is the most propogandistic in the West. So while most points are fair the average American has been brainwashed into a Patriotic viewpoint that prevents him from acknowledging such truths.

USA!

Retarded, even you people who agree. Of course, some of this is true, but true for any country. The OP states as if only USA is guilty of all the crimes. As if there are no obese people in the rest of the world ... whatever!

And wars? Umm, Iraq attacked Kuwait from what I remember, just to start. And who's to say there wouldn't be more wars if it weren't for all the USA's meddling and spending on defense. What would be of Korea right now? Think harder. I'm not saying I agree with how the USA goes about global politics, but you have to admit we play a huge part in deterring wars.

Go to H E double hockey sticks with this crap! I refuse to waste any energy going any further.

What happened to America? It's called brainwashing. We are the result of the Cold War, Russia won, and they are still in the process of winning. Ever noticed how everything went downhill EXACTLY when the cold war started, and never stopped going downhill?

I personally wouldn't be surprised if Obama is a Russian agent, due to all the controversy about his birth certificate, and the fact that the Russians have infiltrated every nook and cranny of our economic and social system.

The Russians are trying to kill us slowly, and very very painfully.

You can thank the Russians for political correctness, the NWO story, bizzare commercials, our #ed up education system, and only something the Russians could invent... snuggies.

You are extremely naive. Do you have any idea how many wars and conflicts are going on that do not involve the US? Take a look at this wikipedia list of wars and you'll see that very few have US involvement. en.wikipedia.org... Also, speaking of Iraq and Afghanistan, these are COALITION operations, which means that many countries have been involved since day 1.

Anyone who believes that the US is the only reason that there isn't world peace is completely delusional.

When I think of the author of the original email, the word Troll comes to mind. The "Tolerance and Multiculturalism" comparison was very funny.

I guess all those refugees, boat people, asylum seekers and immigrants are closet xenophobes and racists hey? They are so fed up with getting along with others and being treated equally and with tolerance that they need to head to the West so they can enjoy the opposite of these luxuries?

I havent read your whole thread, Mr Crimson King...(I know the band, btw

I just hope you dont lump every person in the US with your email, here.

I want you to know..that yes..the US gov..can take a flying leap..but what good does that do me..I live here.

Im not a Mcdonald's eater..Im not overweight..

I am half Swedish..so I could go and live in Sweden with my extended family.

Guess what..almost EVERYONE here in the US is some OTHER nationality!!!!

They dont call it the melting pot for nothing...

The only people who deservedly can call the US their home..are Native Americans..

If you want to bitch at someone..fine..but dont take it out on the American people..this melting pot..has become a bit warped..I know..

But blaming the American people..is like killing all pigs because bacon gave you indigestion..in other words..you arent helping matters...
