As long as this thread seems to be shifting from Star Trek to old westerns, how many here are old enough to remember Fess Parker as...DUN, dun, dUUUUUn!...Davy Crockett?

(This image appears at FiftiesWeb, under the TV section)

"Old enough"?
I'll see your Fess Parker Davey Crockett, with Robert Loggia in The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca. Yeah, I watched it as a kid in the first run.

Elfego was wise and Elfego was strong
Elfego, El Gato, who made right from wrong
And the legend is that, like El Gato the cat,
Nine lives had Elfego Baca

Now that'll be going through my head all day.

The Star Trek utopia is where everyone works not for money but for personal achievements, no one gets paid more than another and everyone has the same access to everything….

In other words the mods are commies….

Technically, only four of us. It's a fairly even split between Commies, Zionists, Reptilians, Nazis, Catholics, New Agers, Fundies, Libertarians, and one guy from Heaven's Gate who missed the memo.

Maybe they're all a bunch of space cowboys?

Of course in the UK the term cowboy has different connortations ....

Still, I guess it's better than a Highland loch .....

Far as I know, there are no plans of a trucker's theme (BJ and the Bear or the Snowman from Smokey and the Bandit) so Space Truckers is not part of it all, whatever it is all about.

Although both myself and another mod have been over-the-road truck drivers in the past, but never talked together on the CB far as we can tell.

Who remembers this:

Have Gun Will Travel reads the card of a man.
A knight without armor in a savage land.
His fast gun for hire head's the calling wind.
A soldier of fotune is the man called Paladin.

Paladin, Paladin Where do you roam?
Paladin, Paladin, Far, far from home.

Fist Full of Dollars?

my guess, or the Sister Sarah one... whatever that was called.

Correct. It was a Fistful of Dollars (1964).

For a Few More Dollars was a great one too(1965).

Two Mules For Sister Sarah is what you are thinking of, but that did not come around until years later (1970) to be exact.....

He was on Wagon Train long before he began to make movies. I think his name was Rowdy Yates, or something like that.

Edit

It was Rawhide.
