RE: Alex Jones

I've read alot of threads on this site during my brief time here. It took me about a year to actually register mind you. My question is why do people not see this guy as a credible source? I've seen many responses and threads dedicated to what this man says but 90% of the time its dismissed as "oh its just alex jones".

So even though im not really contributing anything rather im asking a question im curious. Why is alex jones "bad"?

he probably did one thing wrong in some eyes out there, and its easy to dumb he down after a mistake..

MY thought is that he makes outlandish claims that aren't backed up by very much fact or proof.

Alex Jones in my belief, has a lot of thoughts regarding this Earth that would naturally attract many of us ATS'rs, but once you "follow" his theories for a long enough period of time, you just kind of think,this guy shows no proof, or that he is a nutter.

In my mind, it might be a fun read, but in the end, these theories are baseless and offer no proof.

im thinking about calling him and demanding he register on ats just to see what he says lol. he has these daily shows that u can call and talk to him just thought it be interesting to see his response. im sure he knows about the site.

i's no expert, but i think he is a disinformation agent working for the government. why? to protect his family.

i have heard that his family is pretty much military and- sheesh- the guy is from Texas. that alone should tell us something......

He is credible to a point but he puts a spin on all his stories through fairly unrelated leaps and bounds in order to push a fear agenda that makes him a living..

To take anything he says or anything on his site seriously, you need to look for the information and not listen to the opinion.

Alex Jones has woke up alot of people, thats about all the credit im going to give him..

the thing is most people who have been awakened by him seem to realize after listening him for while, that he is a Fear Mongerer who profits off of his sensationalism..

did you ever notice how he tells you not to trust big pharma right before he tries to sell you his colloidal silver.

or how just as he finishes wranting about the collapse of our economy he plays advertiseents for gold investing?

Or how when he spouts off for an hour that TS will HTF soon he immediately launches a commercial for survival training and weapons?

yes he has woken up alot of people, and i thank him for that, but i am also thankful that Most of the people he has touched realize what he is doing and continue thier research elsewhere..Like here on ATS.


I guess if i had to site one instance that opened my eyes about alex jones it was his y2k broadcast....

Alex Jones is in the entertainment business. Remembering that will take you far with regard to his information. Some truth, mostly hype. Most of the time, events are rather boring and mundane, but if you spice it up with a few embellishments, then you have a talk show. Sadly, there are some who believe him 100%, much like Rush Limbaugh. Entertainers entertain, painters paint.

i do give him credit for getting me started on this path. My dad used to listen to him way back in the day, back before i cared. then when i was a late teen, i moved to Austin and found some other people that liked AJ.

Then several years later back in Austin, some people close to me kinda got in on his circle. They would produce shows for public broadcasting,and we would go to city hall meetings with all of them. We were pretty close to his camera man. We tried really hard to get him elected into local offices...

but after a while Alex was just too much. He never offers a solution. He screams too much. It will wear a person down. He never talks about the spiritual side of this fight. So, i moved on, i don't listen to him much anymore.

That's what I thought, but I was wrong...

I've sat and looked up many things he claims, and there is proof.

When he started talking about spider goats and glow in the dark dogs, I thought the guy was a nut job. I looked it up, sure enough he is telling the truth.

Alex Jones does a great job, there are a few things I can't find proof of, but that isn't to say he is lying. MOST of the time, there are articles backing up his claims.

I like Alex Jones, the dudes been there since the early 90's, giving it large and in the face of the powerful.
I would stand by Jonesy anyday.

So not everybody thinks AJ is a bad guy.

I like him.

I respect him proper respek.

You would be better off making up your own mind on him, because you will get those that see him as a great american and he can do no wrong,and then you will get those that just laugh him off as a joke. You see he has some topics that will make you think and then he has those topics that are just plain rediculous. One example of the rediculous is the FEMA coffins in Ga. The burial vaults he says are coffins are not coffins but just what the manufacturer says they are burial vaults. So if you get interested in a subject he talks about just do a little research and make up your own mind on him. Everybody has their own opinions on him. So just research some things and make up your own mind, and you will find the answer you are lookin for.

Yeah, so he can make money off the people he "woke up". He's like that Ventura guy - they only dabble in Conspiracy Light, which 99% of the public drinks up, making them feel like they're learning something which is earth shattering.

By bringing this stuff into the mainstream (which is the ultimate kiss of death), these guys are also serving the purpose of marginalizing conspiracy movements. Real conspiracy theorists do not use flashy TV shows or over the top radio shows as their sources for credible information.

I see you are in Atlanta,Ga. so what do you think about his FEMA coffins that are in Ga. Just wondering what someone in Ga thinks about that claim. Just trying to get a little insight on this from in Ga.

alex is right at times and alex is wrong at times. i do credit him for getting me interested in many topics that i would not have otherwise.

what bothers me about those, like above, who just say, oh, this article is a lie, he was wrong on that etc......never give examples.
your welcome to your opinion of him, but it would be far more credible with an example.

the y2k link above is a great example of his wrong side.

Have you ever thought that those people who say he is lying really do know he was lying. For example the FEMA coffins in Ga. He was and I will go on record with this not even close to telling the truth on this subject. With a little research you can find the truth.
