I just wanna make it 100% clear that I have NOTHING against people believing in whatever they want. I ONLY have an issue if people who DISREGARD FACTS because of their belief somehow influence how the rest of us live their lives, or how we advance as a species. And they have plenty of opportunities to do so by just voting.

We are supposedly the most intelligent species on the planet, it's time we act like it. We cannot allow people to disregard facts!

LoL, let's see who God says is responsible in just a few plain english script's a child could easily understand, oh and you would'nt happen to know what blaspemy of the Spirit means would you?-

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.-John3.18

Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.-1John3.15

Last of all, he sent his son to them. 'They will respect my son,' he said.
"But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him and take his inheritance.'-Matt21.36

And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God.-Rev20.4

Look, the fact of the matter is that no one of us can verify your claim. There's hundreds of reasons why people hear voices. There's people who speak in tongues because they have a connection with God. The brain can play incredible tricks on us.

I'm not saying what happened to you isn't real, but at the same time, there's many explanations for why it might not have been real.

In the end, if it improves your life, it's all good. But it should never lead you to disregard scientific facts!

Clearly the two of you have a drinking problem. There is the disconnect between reality and the nonsense being spewed in this thread. It makes a little more sense now. Most "Christians" I have met that are not willing to even have a rational discussion but would rather rant on and on about what is going to happen in the end times, are very unhappy with the lives they lead. They have to hope for this amazing magical reward someday in order to justify the suffering they endure now. It seems easier to just wait for Jesus to scoop them up than to try and better their lives. Getting drunk with your keyboard is not exactly a sign of a person fulfilled.

Whatever it is that has lead you both to the sad state you find yourselves in now, that is really too bad. I even for for you both there. The thing is, if you stop drinking alone and go do something pro-active, you might find yourselves a little more capable of finding what you are looking for inside of you, instead of inside a book and a bottle.

I seriously hope you two find whatever you need to find in order to overcome the personal demons that would leave you drinking alone, arguing about your perfect gods.

you should hear about the Cherub/heavenly being myself and a friend had seen when @13yo, it is first post page 26, I have nothing to gain by these things-I know what I've seen and heard as did they obviously-

For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."-1Cor1.19

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.-1Cor1.21

So you do or don't deny that they heard God speak to them? I just want to get this clear. You heard Jesus and you wish for us to believe this based on just your word. Then you must believe that they have also heard Jesus as well, correct? Their word is as good as yours. It's not unfathomable that God told them to kill others anyways, right? Old testament is ripe with God ordering the murder and enslavement of others by his will.

"Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death. Such evil must be purged from Israel." -- Deuteronomy 17:12

"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." -- Leviticus 20:13

"Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, 'Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children. But do not touch anyone with the mark. Begin your task right here at the Temple.' So they began by killing the seventy leaders. 'Defile the Temple!' the LORD commanded. 'Fill its courtyards with the bodies of those you kill! Go!' So they went throughout the city and did as they were told." -- Ezekiel 9:5-7

So, if Jesus, in your left ear, left another audible whisper, and told you:

"I, the LORD, King of kings, must come to you my faithful servant for a task of salvation. The office of kings in your land must be purged from it's corruption. Go forth and slaughter the wicked and corrupt politicians that defile your soil. Go! Fill the halls of the presidential temple with the corpses of sinners and nonbelievers."

Would you follow?

King, you have told that story at least 5 times in this one thread alone.

Are you hoping repetition will make it more important or do the voices in your head get in the way of your memory? The two things together might indicate a mental issue. Maybe just dementia though, no biggy. Maybe you can tell me why you keep posting the same story over and over and over and over in the same thread?

As Wolf put it earlier, many people claim to have heard Jesus or God. Who's to say which ones really did...if there's such a thing as God. The God helmet proves that our brain is VERY powerful and it can play tricks on us.

"I believe I'm Elijah, called by God to be a prophet," said 26-year-old Terry Mark Mangum, charged with murder June 11. " ... I believe with all my heart that I was doing the right thing."

Mangum, who described himself as "definitely not a homosexual," said God called on him to "carry out a code of retribution" by killing a gay man because "sexual perversion" is the "worst sin." ... "I planned on sending him to hell," he said.

Sounds like maybe the people that come to ATS in the name of Christ have some heavy burdens to bear. Sad that. Seems a shame so many Satanists are cavorting in such bliss while you all live lives of burdening truths and overwhelming knowledge.

Then he went up from there to Bethel; and as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.-2 Kings 2:23-24

LOL! I hear ya.

I used to really not mind. It is when they resort to lies, feigned stupidity, distortions, and the absolute disconnection with reality we see here that it becomes less fun. I usually invite them in for as long as they like. I good chunk of my bible collection comes from visitors. But I hear you, it almost always ends in a manner much more nightmare than dream, thus the collection of bibles and still no conversion to Christianity.

Mormons are more fun because the ones that want to talk to you are usually not so set in their ways that they have to just make up whatever bounces out of their skull on the spot to justify their crazy ideas.

Mormons are the best!

Only because I used to be one! The things one does when one is a teenager

Now I have a special place in my hardened heart for them. Riding around on bicycles, etc.

They always get to come in for some AC. Though I do warn them, no way I am turning.

I do enjoy discussing the modern day myths, so if the person has some "clout" and doesn't digress into...well...this thread...it is a great learning experience.

Not to mention the plethora of info one gains about the psyche, especially the power of fear.

Can you show me where in the DSM it discusses the differences between mental illness diagnosis based on the plurality of auditory hallucinatory sources? I would be really interested in that.

Doctor 1:"He seems to suffer delusions and dissociative traits. We need to look further into this because he is certainly ill."
Doctor 2:"No no no. He is not hearing voices, he hears A VOICE! Big difference, let him go."
Doctor 1:"But he is clearly hearing a voice in his head. That is still a pretty big symptom of something."
Doctor 2:"Are you stupid?!?! He clearly stated he is not hearing any voice in his head. He is hearing a voice next to his head. Let him go and write a prescription for getting drunk alone at his computer. It works great for two of my other patients."

You guys really crack me up.

besides you know all this you were addressed when I first joined why persist?

You have told this story no less than 5 times in this thread alone. Why persist?

I am sorry if I find it EXTREMELY funny that the "Christians" in this thread all seem to share some common traits as far as understanding, honesty, and engaging in discussion about facts and errors. Now, you have all gone out of your way to explain that you, as a group, drink alone, get drunk and forget what you write thus ascribing it to a god, and hear a disembodied voice. Sorry if I believe this does little to help the case any of you are making.

At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens."-Heb12.26
