hi all.

there is, or was, someone on these forums who has as the Signiture,

"here on ATS, the world ends every week"!

indeed.
the "screet", I find, is not to over-react.

But Probably the *real* stuff is not even been posted yet, stuff so "far out"
that even ATS people would might Blanch!

I've found I feel a lot better by just leaving this site to the dogs. So much of what is on here is just opinionated guesses or non-sense.

"cracks in the ocean floor!!!"

"lava flowing from the ocean floor?!!!"

"it will rain oil!!!!"

I just get tired of having to sift through all the utter trash that is posted to this site, and you really are in the minority if you speculate that the situation is "not that bad"...and it's as if you're "siding with the enemy."

ATS is seeming like a site I really don't want to hang around much. Too many attention-seekers for sure, and way way way too much negativity. You reach a point where you just need to move on and focus on what is right in your life, regardless of the truth.

ATS doesnt scare me at all, I know most of the SHTF scenarios are unlikely to say the least, so I read them with that in mind. Plus, mentally, Im pretty damn crazy and believe in afterlife, so to me, crazy SHTF scenarios sound exciting instead of scary(and I mean that literally, I said Im crazy). If a thread was posted now that said there was a massive solar flair and we only had 2 hours before the earth was fried(like for real-for real), I'd go make myself a rum and coke and a sandwich and sit on the back porch and smoke a cig, like Im about to do anyway

ATS definately has an effect on the mind for awhile, then it teaches you to be skeptical, how to research, there are some very knowledgeable folks on here to help sort out that which we know little about.

I occasionally visited Godlikeproductions, now THAT is a scare site. It is ridiculous. Every thread makes unfounded unresearched claims, and folks just roll with it. They don't question sources, they just believe what they read. That is sad, considering the age of most of the people on there, I imagine that kind of scare tactic could lead to severe depression or even worse among those who believe it.

I appreciate the ATS members who responsibly back their claims with real resources, not just hoax crap.

But there are some here who still just throw stuff out there, no basis, no facts, just silly claims that are unfounded.

if your afraid of the dark then why do you sleep in the dark?, go to turn on the lights no lights? is the bulb burned out? no power? no power grid?, time to wake up! grasp what scares you the most and embrace it! get the rush from it! after all it can only scare you to death!, "there is nothing to fear but fear it self" FDR.

Why would opening your mind to alternative views, even armageddon scenarios inspire fear?

I dont get it really. My view of the world might not be a happy meadow filled with butterflies and daisies, but knowing more information never worries me - it opens my mind to alternative courses of action.

If you are standing on a train track, would you rather be blindfolded, or be able to see? The train isnt that scary if you can see it, there is a decent chance to avoid it - not being able to see it, but hearing it approaching - now that would be scary.

I've been following SOME conspiracy theories since about 1995. Some have come true. That's why I continue to MONITOR some conspiracies. I no longer discount the so called "nutjobs" from way back then. Before 1995, I would find some conspiracies on usenet and didn't quite grasp the concepts.

Now I just sit back and watch.

And pass on to others that SOME ppl might have insight into why things are or have become the way they are.

MSM? What a joke. Just more wealthy towing the line.

I have to agree to a point allthough there is nothing to really fear now that you have figured that most people have no lives so they live on sites like ATS and others doing there thing as it were.

I have 3 calenders of perdictions and not one has come true, but if these people keep guessing there sure to hit it sometime.

I came here originally for info,Im an info junkie. The only thing it has done for me is not to belive 95% and research the 5% thats left and toss 95% of what you research. Our country and world is full of lies and missinfo. It has become hard to belive in anything anymore and thats the real tragady.

I've never really gave into much of the fear mongering that goes on here at ATS. Sometimes I feel sinister in being HAPPY the oil gusher is happening. I know it's a horrible thing, it is affecting many families, not to mention the ocean life. One of my best friends/old roomate lives about 15 miles from the gulf in LA, and is heavily impacted. With great tragedy comes "oneness". Look at 9/11. Many large tragedies allow people to set aside their differences, and look at how the small things in life just do not matter as much as the love of friends and family. I'm a strong believer in an "afterlife", and believe that we shouldn't be afraid to die. And if we do end up "dying", then we can just look at it as a free ticket out of this world and into a next.

While I really enjoyed some of the topics that I found on this website I have recently realized that ATS scares the s... out of me. I've been coming to this website for years, mostly reading and not getting involved in the discussions. And ever since I started frequenting ATS I have become more and more paranoid.

What happened to the thing in Ukraine where they supposedly released the swine flu? I almost lost it on that one because that was the peak of the swine flu hysteria and people on ATS kept providing us with info that sh.. is hitting the fan and you best be ready. That was almost a year ago.

What happened to all those people who 2-3 years ago were talking about blue lists , red lists and so on. Basically they were saying that the gov't will pick up everyone in the middle of the night and take them to a concentration camp for "sterilizing".

Then there is, of course, Nibiru and all the 2012 crap. Where is Nibiru? It's a little over a year before 2012 and Nibiru is nowhere to be seen.

At the beginning of 2010 there was a boatload of folks who kept saying "I have inside info and something terrible will happen within the next few weeks". I remember reading these threads every day.

I could go on and on forever but the fact of the matter is ATS spreads too much fear. I really do believe that the gov't is corrupt and that aliens have visited us and that a lot of the consipiracies theories are valid.

I just can't take it anymore. Now there's a methane bubble that is supposed to burst and cause armageddon-like consequences? C'mon people, haven't you done enough already to scare me?

I agree, and if the truth is known, "The New World Order" is controlling ATS, posing as conspiracy theorists in order to "keep the pot stirred," as my granny used to say. They are just pot-stirers, sent here to "scare us," the people!

"Demoralize the enemy from within by surprise, terror, sabotage, assassination. That is the war of the future." ~ Hitler

No, I am not a Nazi, nor do I support Socialism or Communism, or Fascism nor Marxism. But, I used the quote by Hitler to prove that even he understood that "terrorism"(in all of its forms) is a great way to destroy your enemy! Putting fear into people's minds "keeps the pot stirred."

If you are so "scared" as you say you are, why are you even posting this thread?
Did you know that just by visiting ATS you get put on a Secret GOV Mauve list?
If you post, they move you over to the fuchsia list.
Now that is one list that I do not ever want to be on.
Ooops. TF Late. I've been fuchsia'd!!

If ATS FEAR can find flawed logic in the OP interpretation
Then please, stupid fear, put the OP statement in a quotation
If ATS FEAR is can find flawed logic in the OP presentation
Then please, ATS FEAR, feel free to attack it’s foundation
But, ATS FEAR, With factual truisms and verifiable information
If ATS FEAR cannot dispute or refute or disprove the OP translation …
Is ATS FEAR sure fear is not an agent of ATS FEARs’ misinformation?

This is the stupidest thread I’ve ever seen on ATS!
- Anonymous ignorance (*A.I. for short).

Thank you, your recalcitrant Magniloquence is most enlightening. Thanks for taking the time to contribute such eloquent thoughts concerning the subject matter being discussed. We bask in the wisdom and knowledge of these words.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever read. Before I can discuss the subject matter in the OP, I would like to establish your sanity.

Usually people call it fear, I call it an adrenaline rush. I fail to understand, honestly, why people get so afraid of things discussed here. I guess it's because they have too many roots embedded into the soil of society.

Alrighty then . Look CAEL,.. You have just told me nothing. Not a single shred of evidence to prove this is a fact. You can argue with me all day on what you believe but until you can show me something solid,... it is just a theory.. .. .

What cael was referring to is that something that you don't see and don't know does not exist. A tree that falls in the woods and no one is around to hear it, does not make a sound, because no one is around to hear it. And sometimes things that you don't know will kill you, like the black plague that hit European they thought that god was killing them but it was the fleas on the fleas on the rats that was killing them and spreading around. Containment, Taking a shower and washing everything, could of literally saved millions but they died in ignorance. Or god's punishment I guess.

And a infra red star is quite possible, everything gives off energy in different wavelengths our eyes can only pick up a small portion of what is actually out in the universe and some animals eyes can see in more wavelengths then humans, and pick up more scents then humans. What you see out in the world is only a small fraction of the light that the sun gives off not because it isn't there but because you don't see it. A non event is a tree that falls in the woods on some ones head but makes no sound or sight because no one is around to hear or see it. Exempt the dude that got squashed that is.

www.sott.net... IR-Video-of-5-Objects-in-V-Formation

Nibiru/wormwood/whatever could or could not be real we will see.

As the op's thread, for ats=fear there is lots of things to fear but mostly its fear of the unknown or unavailing situations that we fear. Some things one should fear.

Giant snakes or poisonous snakes.
Animals that kill like lions and tigers.
Big foot and the abnormal snowman.
Reptilians that don't like humans they are to be avoided.
King Kong and giant man eating spiders.
Women drivers that are on the cellphone, can get one killed.
Drunk drivers, or drivers that are high, they don't drive as well.
Taxes and wars, are not that fun either.
Pirates and ninjas are deadly therefore should be feared.
Comodo dragons are cute and all. But there vicious and there bite kills, if you see one don't try to pet it or ride it like this kid.

There are many other things one should fear or respect enough to not get in its way. Ats whoever is just a bunch of dudes writing, and some writing one should be wary off but not fear.
