Pretty cool. Anything about my date of birth?

Born July 20th, 1988 at 5:57 P.M

I went to a webiste posted on this thread, and used the Rising Sign Calculator.

Your Ascendant: 1°18' Capricorn

Capricorn
Your psychological nature is introverted and cold, totally controlled and phlegmatic, at least regarding the image you project invariably. You seem unemotional and austere. Actually, your secondarity chews over the strategies or responses that you create as a recation to the environment. You are slow but very thoughtful, solid and balanced. You are as curt as you are cold and you put the strength of your character at the service of your huge and long-term ambition. Or you may be detached from the earthly riches and you focus on spiritual values.

Like all the people born under an apparently reserved and tough sign, your inner personality is often charming and gentle, as if the thick armour, forged throughout childhood, had entirely preserved the purity and the warmth of the soul imprisoned within.

With this Ascendant, you come across as serious, cold, disciplined, patient, focused, thoughtful, ambitious, indomitable, cautious, lucid, persistent, provident, steady, introverted, stern, wilful, hard-working, responsible, persevering, honest, realistic, loyal, reserved, resolute, moralistic, quiet, rigorous, attached and reliable. But you may also be curt, withdrawn, calculating, petty, cruel, unpleasant, ruthless, selfish, dull, rigid, slow or sceptical.

So from a Cancer, to Capricorn? Hmm, I gotta look into this more, it has me intrigued.

Hello there!

The rising sign is what sign is on the eastern horizon at the time of your birth. If Capricorn is your rising sign, this is not the same as your 'sun sign'.

Sun is just hours in Cancer at your birth, in the morning of this day it rode the cusp of Gemini and Cancer.

Before the Sun rises, Jupiter (king planet) rises at the chest of Taurus. Venus then rises in Taurus, sitting above the sign of Orion. Mercury then comes in Gemini, then the Sun rises on this day.

Moon is in Virgo.

Saturn and Uranus side by side in Sagittarius sitting out in front of the bow (general direction to the center of our galaxy). Neptune also in Sagittarius, sitting above Sag's head.

Mars in Pisces (our current age).

Moon phase..
stardate.org...

In the image below, you can see the Sun barely in Caner.....and notice Jupiter, Venus (over Orion) as well.

I see your rising sign, the sign that was on the eastern horizon at your birth to be Scorpio or Ophiuchus. But Im still learning a bit on the rising sign....

Feedback is welcomed

Just be careful of what astrology sites tell you about the positions. Other then that, they can offer you what signs mean, what planets within a sign means...ect....

For some, its not about traits and personalities. For some it may show them a path of cycles, or reincarnation. For some it may show them they are not here in this life bounded by a cycle, but they came here out of free will, as a choice to help others.

I also think that observing the positions and gateways of the sun, moon, and planets at your birth can be a reconnecting, a realigning, or ones positions, to the cosmos/energies around them. Like resetting a broken clock.

Learn to take what resonates with you....an example I use is that astrology calls mars the 'war' planet, meaning battles or struggles, I see mars as a healer, or showing a part of a person that is in need of healing. Some see Saturn as a trouble maker if its in your sign, I see it though as a counselor....it can offer you great leaps in your spiritual path if you are ready for it. What one thing means to someone, might not be what it means on a personal level to another.

Hi there!

Sun is in Leo at your birth, sitting under the Lion. Venus is in Leo, side by side with the heart of the Lion (star Regulus). Mercury also in Leo.

Before Sun rises in the East on this day, Jupiter rises before the Sun while Jupiter is in Cancer. Then Venus rises with Leo, then rises the Sun.

Uranus, Saturn, and Neptune are in Sagittarius.

Moon in Pisces (our current age).

Mars in Taurus.

Pluto on cusp of Libra and Serpens.

Just some info for observations.

Today...
Sun in Cancer
Mercury and Venus in Leo
Saturn and now Mars in Virgo
Moon and Pluto in Sagittarius
Neptune in Aquarius
Uranus and Jupiter in Pisces

Can easily find Sagittarius and face this direction of this sign by using the moon tonight, which is almost full.

Jupiter can be found after midnight in the East, being the brightest object in that direction of the sky....knowing this, you can know your facing Pisces when you observe Jupiter.

July 26th the moon will be full and will be in Capricorn. Those of Capricorn can use the moon to face their sign.

Something to look forward to this year is on the winter solstice of this year we will have a total lunar eclipse (Dec. 21st). The Sun will be in Sagittarius on this day for our solstice, sitting in the general direction towards the center of our galaxy...while the moon sits opposite in the sky (that puts Earth in between the moon and sun) in the sign of Gemini for the lunar eclipse. Early that morning, the moon will ride the cusp of 3 signs that some might find significant....Taurus, Orion, and Gemini. By the time of the eclipse it will have moved fully into Gemini. This will be a good day to step out and observe the moon on one side of us, and the Sun on the other....on the day of the winter solstice.

Hi and thanks for doing this. My b-day is April 2 1970. I don't have the exact time but it was AM in Arizona. Maybe around 7am. That makes me an Aries but I think I'm more of a Pisces.

Hi there Student!

Sun is in Pisces at your birth (and Pisces is our current age). Mercury is also in Pisces.

Venus is on the cusp of Pisces and Aries (Aries your past/old sign and may still offer you things in this life).

Saturn and Mars in Aries.

Pluto in Coma Berenices (a sign outside the wheel meaning a sign outside the path of the Sun, this sign is named after a Egyptian Goddess).

Uranus and Jupiter in Virgo.

Neptune in Libra.

Moon in Capricorn at your birth sitting close to Aquarius. By the end of the day, it has moved into Aquarius (our coming age).

I'm a super-Pisces! Is Jupiter my ruling planet?

Hello Student! Its great seeing your interests.

The way I study the wheel is different in several ways. I dont take account of certain planets ruling signs....but you are free to study that part of it more and I do believe you are right, I think in the modern use, Jupiter does rule Pisces.

When I studied how they determined what planet would rule what sign, it just didnt make much sense to me. See Astrology starts the wheel in the sign of Aries....for the reason of around 2000bc when astrology was well used, Aries was the sign the Sun rose in at the start of the seasonal year, at the Spring Equinox. So much of astrology is based on the idea that Aries was our first 'age'. But we all know there was life during the age of Taurus as well about 5000bc. And the further we go back, Aries does not always represent Spring. In the age of Taurus it would of represented Spring. If we go back to around the ice age or end of it....about 12,000 years ago....we have the age of Leo, which would of represented Spring.

The wheels I use, starts with Leo and not Aries. This is my own choices I look at the wheel this way, for my own figuring that I think the 'ages' started with Leo and end with Virgo. Being that some of the planets are related to signs due to their 'past' seasonal positions as well as adjustments have been added or changed for others reasons....I dont see how we can assign a planet to a sign.

Just my personal take on it....

Now if we could go back 12,000 years and find out where each planet was at the 'start' of a new great year...then maybe ....but still, if we connect the planets to the signs due to seasons, then the ruling planets of the signs....might have to change along the way too...I dont know how to figure such a things in with the way Im looking at the wheel.

You can read a bit on how and why the ruling planets were determined....

Hello there!

The Sun is in Aries at your birth. Taurus is the sign that astrology would give you and it being your past sign may still resonate with you or offer you alot in this life. Mercury also in Aries with the Sun. (Aries is our past age).

Before the Sun rises, Aquarius (our coming age) comes in the East bringing Mars. Then Pisces (our current age) comes in the East bringing Venus.

Jupiter is in Gemini.

Moon in Virgo.

Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn in Sagittarius.

Pluto outside the wheel in Serpens (Serpens sits outside the path of the Sun but it is a part of a sign that the Sun does cross through called Ophiuchus....I see Serpens and Ophiuchus as 2 signs in 1 sign...but some people dont).

Moon phase...
stardate.org...

Here is a image of Mars rising first, then Venus, then comes the Sun....the positions in the image are while the are in the west because at your birth they were not in the east....so just as Mars and Venus rose before the Sun on this day, Mars and Venus also then set in the west before the sun set, on this day. Being born in the evening....this image showing the setting of the Sun and planets, instead of their risings.

My best to you

Thank you!

Granted, I don't know much about astrology at all but after reading some things about Sun in Aries-traits and such, it doesn't fit me at All to be honest. It's like the complete opposite of how I am, but maybe that means it is something that I should work on? The Aries side of me so to speak or what do you think?

Im careful to tell others what things mean to them for it is a path of self to seek what Aries means to your deepest self. It may not have anything to do with traits at all, but more of showing you where your at on your path (past age) maybe.

Are you a protector of things? Are there things in your life that you are very guarded over?

Another side of Aries is that it represents a Ram....a Ram was used for Offerings....your Aries could mean to your deepest self, the opportunity of offering yourself in this life. Offering back to Earth what is of Earth, back to Spirit what is of Spirit....or just that you are not bound to the cycle of the wheel at all and you chose to come here out of your own free will to help people during this time....you may have offered yourself....to be here now.

It really goes far beyond traits and what someone generalizes signs to mean. I found Leo and Virgo to mean something much deeper to me then the traits astrology uses. Its a seeking of your inner self, and what it would mean to you on a very deep personal level.

Im not one big on traits from the cosmos....Im more of a seeker that finds one path and I use the positions at my birth to reconnect myself to the cosmos....like the inner's of a clock realigning its gears that surround the inner parts.

Aries could also be showing you that you need to learn about what a true offering of self is. To stop living for the 'self' and learn to live for 'others'.

Just many thoughts to throw out there...only you can know what resonates with you due to your experiences in this life here.

Feedback is welcome or further discussions for thoughts....

I do think that if you are a passive person, then mabey Aries is offering the side of you that can learn to be aware of things that are worth standing up and fighting for.

Aries was once thought to represent a 'worker/Shepard'....before it was a Ram....

In the ancient Babylonian calendar given in the stone tablets known as the MUL.APIN, the constellation now known as Aries was the final station along the ecliptic. It was known as MULLU.ḪUN.GA, "The Agrarian Worker". It is unclear how the "Agrarian Worker" became the "Ram" of Greek tradition, but John H. Rogers has suggested that it may have been via association with the legendary figure of Dumuzi the Shepherd.

en.wikipedia.org...

More then anything...it might not be the sign that shows you something, but the season that you are born to may show you more. You come in the times of Spring...when life if renewing, re birthing, recycling. Signs are really man made ideas....and do play a part in our consciousness of humanity and our past....but without mans ideas of making the signs...then we just have a divided sky for seasons. You being born into Spring time...may have more to show you then anything else.

Im just throwing stuff out there...as I said and will say many times

it is a path of self....only you can know what things you refuse to face and work on, only you can know what a Ram or Spring may mean to you, only you can know what things resonate with you and what you are ready to face in all honesty.

Edit to add another link...

www.constellationsofwords.com...

There are many things a 'ram' relates to in our history. It can also represent the time/life where one is released from bondage. Just as in Spring, the Earth is being released from the bondage of winter. It could also represent, a new soul, starting a new cycle.
