I say we buy the carrier, WWII Brit carriers were the best armoured, they actually had steel decks as opposed to wood on American, Japanese and German.

I think the runway would be a bit short for today's fighters but it would make a great helicopter carrier.

so I say we stock it with Hinds to move those Spetznaz, some Longbows and Wearwolves for attack, a few Eurocopter Tigers for scouting missions, some Blackhawks with the electronic countermeasures for moving the SAS that I got my boys in the House of Lords to loan me (LOL!) and some Sea Stalions or Agustas for general people moving or in case someone falls off.

I say we could also mod it and stock some ekronoplans (sp) to use as kick tail landing craft and support vessles.

We could go invade umm French Polynesia or Monaco, some nice vacation spots for the ATS crew.

Now just what to name it?

Why not divide the number of ATS users by $6.4 Million, makes it a little more affordable if everyone puts in. And there's the crew right there, I've noticed a large number of us (me included) are Ex-military and could help run the ship.

We do a global cruise, pick up every ATS member and live in international waters, surviving by flooding the internet with pop-ups and SPAM via our Satelite Internet link.

So come on people, pack your sleeping bag, we're going exploring!!

pfst... forget the sukhois, migs, and anything else because i've got this!

1964 Cessna 150D N4145U aka "Scooby Doo"
gross weight: 1600 lbs
empty weight: 970 lbs

top speed at sea level: 125 mph
cruise speed: 122 mph (closer to about 100 mph)
"do not exceed" speed: 165 mph

range at cruise: 490 miles; 4.0 hours
range at optimum: 565 miles; 5.7 hours

rate of climb at sea level: 670 fpm (though i've gotten and kept nearly 1500 before)

sevice ceiling: 12,650 ft (though in winter i've gone up 14,000 due to the denser air)

take off (normal): 735 ft (at gross closer to 850)
take off (short feild): at gross about 650 ft
take off (soft field): at gross about 900 ft

landing: 445 ft (i've stopped in under 100 though, without heavy breaking)

power: continental O-200A; 100 HP at 2750 RPM
propeller: fixed pitch 69 in. diameter

other: it was upgraded for to have larger tires (the tires of a Cessna 206) so it can land on soft grass fields. that's why the nose wheel fork looks to be on backwards for anyone who notices that. first year with the rear window. second to last year with the straight tail.

yeah, let's see a mig, suikoi, f/a-18 take me on... of course, i fear f-16s. but that's only because i've been on their attack radars before. but that's a whole other story!

I'm being semi serious, why not put this to the admins here? A great way to bring ATS members together.

Not a bad price for 6.5 million but where the hell are we gonna get the other 6.5 million a year to move the damn thing? Figure the cost of fuel to move that thing 10 miles.

With all our members on board, we could all be put to good use by creating Web servers (we all know how much serving costs these days) and also contracted out to send spam and embed popups for commercial sites. We could also use the space onboard to frieght comodities.

Hey, didn't anyone take me serious? I still am serious, it would be an adventure. Come on, we could be modern day pirates, peddling crackz and warez from the safety of international waters.
