Let me start off by showing you this. Degrassi - The Boiling Point on TEEN NICK This show is set in a high school setting with FRESHMAN being the actors/actress's main year of school. This means they are 13 - 15 years old. Hmm. So why does this Teen Nick show, show nothing but sexualization among that age group? The show has guy's kissing and making out, 13 year olds losing their virginity, lesbian swings, partial nudity and the message being conveyed by Teen Nick that it is ok to indulge in these kind's of sexual behavior when your the age of 13 - 15. This is not an isolated case, let me move on to other TV shows, Celebrities, Movies, And what even the MSM is showing to sexualize underage children who just entered High School or even sooner.

Twilight Movies
---
iCarly
The Mickey Mouse Club
Justin Timberlake
JONAs BROTHERS
Miley Cyrus
Brittany Spears
---Gullah Gullah Island---

And heres the biggest one the MSM loved to show. 7 Year olds dance to "All the Single Ladys"
I haven't gone that far in-depth about what's being projected to our youth about sexuality at a young age, but with the above listed I think you may get the point.

Disney.

Get 'em young and you have their attention for a life.

Simple formula.

Why shouldnt they make shows about going through puberty and the flood of hormones teens go through?

Its called adolescence.

Nature has a funny way of proving man wrong.

That's what parents are for. But instead the main audience for these shows are pedifiles or children too young to even be at that level development in their own life.

There is a great documentary done in the UK about this very topic.

I recommend everyone see it, considering of course that no one knows me from Adam. Trust!

Before we start censoring tv shows or networks...

Can we take a look at the lazy parents that use tv as a babysitter?

Heck yeah! I was at a friends this past sunday. They were all watching True Blood on show Time. Mind you they allowed their 8 and 12 year old to watch it too. How fun it must be for kids to watch vampire sex, the breaking of bones and what could be construeded as RAPE.

The OP is right.

Being 19 myself i can tell you he is right. You have no idea how casual sex is to the younger generation. i have known 14 year olds who have gotten in orgies.

My kids are 20, 16 and 14. Sunday's True Blood is the only time you'll find all of us in front of the TV together. I guess because it's all I watch on tv.

I do have a problem with the sexualizing of teens. Remember when the Olsen twins came of age? Men around the world were cheering. Kinda disgusting if you ask me. That means that they had their eyes on them before that. Then there's the bunch you just mentioned.

Look at what kids wear today. I see 11 year olds walking around in thongs.

I know what I was like at 15, but not 13, and there certainly weren't any orgies going on, not even to this day. To the OP my girlfriend watches Sweet 16 and she is 23 is she a paedophile? What a ridiculous comment you had my attention until that.

Personally I hate spoiled brats whatever the age.

Who would want to see that? I know the challenges though. My 16 yo likes to dress provocatively. Not while I'm on the clock.

Only one problem with that episode. Who was raping who there? It's not that clear cut with that show.

I saw that video of those girls dancing just now...and....part of me died inside.

Apart from the disgustingly revealing dresses and adult dance they are doing I noticed 4 major issues.

-Girls of 7 shouldn't be dancing so well....they must be losing their childhood to learn that.

-Theres loads of similar videos of young girls dancing on youtube.

-Youtube hasn't removed them.

-Theres a whole audience watching who don't see an issue.

Normally when I see a girl dancing like that it is meant to turn me on, not make me feel physically sick and have the urge to hurt their parents... heck do those girls even know what they are 'flaunting'...they don't even have anything to flaunt they're that young.

If I saw a child like that with her parent I would publicly shout at them...I'm sick of seeing young kids in short shorts and high cut tops with pictures of hannah montanna and her kiddie show friends on it. And to agree with another poster...those short shorts are worn low enough to show the thongs these girls are wearing...:/

And I'm 18...hardly some old fella out of touch with 'the times'.

I will openly admit I feel the age of consent is wrong, even here in England where it is 16...but I will also admit it is impossible to set a correct age as it is not a black and white issue. But however liberals my views may be seen...7 is to young for this sort of this...far too young.

It's called the mall. If you go to one around my area, you'll see outfits just as revealing as a thong on young girls. I don't understand it. This was not normal a decade ago. It's rather disgusting.

You are certainly correct in your analysis, but I promise you there's no fixing this. It's no secret that sex sells, and even companies aimed at kids are willing to indulge in that fact if it gets them more money. This isn't just kids shows, though, this is American culture as a whole. Take a look at Superbowl ads. Quite a few exploit attractive women as a way to get money, and it works. One such case I'd like to highlight is the "Go Daddy" Superbowl commercial series. They show what is essentially the beginning of a porno, stop after about a minute, and then state that you must visit their website to see the uncensored, complete version. How many people visit "Go Daddy" just to see the end of those commercials? Most visitors, I would assume.

The society of America, and other Western nations as well, is sexed up and corrupted. People have taken their eyes off of the ball. As an American, I hang my head in shame to this day that Paris Hilton's idiotic jailing saga dominated the news for a day or two. Of everything in the world to focus on, the American media focused on the stupidity of a spoiled, dimwitted socialite. Disgusting.

It's sad my friend, but this isn't getting any better. Society wants drama and sex, and TV companies are gladly filling the need. Sadly, the younger people out there are no exception. And, take it from me, sex has indeed become very casual amongst today's teens. I've heard about parties where teens are given necklaces with colored plastic beads on them. The color that one recieves corresponds to the sex act that they will be forced to perform. We're talking about 14, 15, and 16 year olds folks. People who are barely waking up to life and are already screwing it up. I can't even imagine how today's generation would fare should a crisis occur and survival of the fittest comes into play.

Thanks for reading.
