December last year they passed legislation that had everyone in an uproar. It stated that the CDC can force it's way into your home, hold you down, and inoculate you at gunpoint. So yes, that is what we fear. If the trend continues and those of us who bother to read between the lines haven't gone nuts, the CDC will run with this and make it law.

They won't have to arrest you but for the 5 minutes it takes to inform you that in custody you have no rights to refuse medical treatment.

I just hope all those who cried "but we'll get free health care for all!!" are the first in line.

At least you have that option friend. As someone who has seriously looked into the logistics involved in immigrating overseas, I can tell you that gaining citizenship to other countries has been made near impossible in the past few years.

Edit to add:

Bigdave, next years regular flu shot will include the h1n1 vaccine. Just so you know. I doubt many officials will divulge that information as you sign the consent form.

Source, please. Remember, it's against the T&C of ATS to knowingly post false information.

No one has done anything yet. Every year, the CDC publishes guidelines on who they think should give extra consideration to receiving certain vaccines. It is not mandatory, it is not a law, it is not even referenced by medical professionals. It is just a recommendation.

Just remember what the government has in check for your mandatory private health care, so I imagine that mandatory vaccines will follow the trend after the mandatory HC is enforced.

Firstly it is mandatory in my state for children to have the MMR vaccines before being enrolled in schools. No tin foil hat here. Secondly, I figured since I had simply regurgitated info from a previous post that I was off the hook for providing the source since it was a simple "page back" to get to it.

Anyways.. Here is a better source for what I was alluding to...
Vaccine Task Force

BTW, it's highly rude to respond that way citing ATS rules imo and basically calling me a liar.

What will be interesting is the conflict this will place on doctors who feel that the vaccines are not healthy. They are under oath to "do no harm" and I know that many doctors, mine included are not interested in pushing vaccines. In fact, he only advises those that are required by law and is uncomfortable with that - again feeling that it in some ways violates his oath and obligations as a doctor.

I can't see how they can enforce this other than tying it to public services like a driver's liscence, of course attendance in public schools, etc.

No, it is not mandatory. There is a single form you fill out, explaining that your child is exempt for religious, medical or "other" reasons. I've filed plenty of them back in my medical school days when I would attend the volunteer vaccination events at the local high schools.

Knowingly posting false information on ATS is against the T&Cs. Please keep that in mind.

I've had multiple flu vaccines, and also never had the flu. Wonder if there's a connection...

I've also been vaccinated against mumps, polio, etc. and have never had any disease that I was vaccinated against. So, if we're going by personal accounts...

That article was from 21 December 2009.

So, can you find that in the bill that was passed 3 months later?

U.S. government panel now pushing "vaccinations for all!" No exceptions…

An advisory panel to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended that every person be vaccinated for the seasonal flu yearly, except in a few cases where the vaccine is known to be unsafe.

"Now no one should say 'Should I or shouldn't I?'" said CDC flu specialist Anthony Fiore.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted 11-0 with one abstention to recommend yearly flu vaccination for everyone except for children under the age of six months, whose immune systems have not yet developed enough for vaccination to be safe, and people with egg allergies or other health conditions that are known to make flu vaccines hazardous. If accepted by the CDC, this recommendation will then be publicized to doctors and other health workers.

The CDC nearly always accepts the advisory committee's recommendations.

Source

First off, this headline stuck out to me right away, this is ludicrous! And as I'm reading the article I see this line "...except in a few cases where the vaccine is known to be unsafe" - A few cases?

I have done a lot of research into the vaccinations that have been given out in the past few years, and some of the people who had to take them or felt the need to because of their families (such as pregnant women), had a lot of adverse reactions.

In one of the threads I made I posted an article that had interviewed a ton of pregnant women who got the bird flu vaccination and had miscarriages within hours of the vaccination. That is sickening - and to think that this sort of stuff may be FORCED upon us all is even worse!

Who knows what vaccinations we will "need" in the upcoming future - who knows what will actually be in these vaccinations - who knows if these vaccinations will be safe for most people (other than the people who will be excluded for health reasons)?

I am posting this in the breaking political news area because it truly is breaking news. This is something that everyone needs to see NOW before it is too late! Hopefully enough people find out that the CDC is being influenced by the advisory committee, and who else knows, to force vaccinations upon us all!

I'm sure that if you do not get the vaccinations (if this does pass) you will be looked down upon in society, and not be allowed to do certain things. We knew this was coming - let's just hope it's something we can stop!

please dont go alarming people. It clearly says "should get vaccinated". Nowhere it states "must".

I dont get vaccinated and i am against them as well but please dont go alarming people until you have proof.

That's very scientific. I didn't know that scientific research measured the combined weight of people with complications, rather than giving rates of miscarriage, or even just the number of them.

Seriously, though, a specific number would be better than hyperbole when we're talking about something this serious.
