But yet you're drawn to ask questions about the what if in a bible you say you no longer believe in.

And now you and I are drawn to this moment in time by your own choosing? To meet and know each other by my name seldom used, and your avatar I have seen but once only recently.

Or is it perhaps that God is not willing to give up on you just yet.

Genesis 3 verse 22

"Behold, the man has become like one of us to know what is good and what is evil"

The question is...Who is >>>us?

Were there others here before adam and eve?

Or we could even ask the question, what was evil anyway without man?

If Adam and Eve didn't sin, God would probably be really bored right now.

I don't think there is anything wrong with discussing the bible regardless of what I believe. Especially since so many people around the world believe it word for word.

The Garden of Eden is inside us all.

As Jesus said:
"The Kingdom of God is within you"

And why was "The Tree of Good and Evil" put in the Garden anyway ???

What is this Tree ???

And What is "The Tree of LIFE" ???

Kind of like putting a TV in your kids room with two channels, Disney channel and the porn channel, then tell your kids don't turn to the porn channel!!

The Garden of Eden is a metaphor for one of the three divine inward aspets of the soul that exists in all humans. This aspect of the soul [ Garden of Eden] in primordial time Adam and Eve had access to. . . therefore the celestial command: “Go ye near any tree save the forbidden tree”

These trees were lofty state of consciousness [channels of light] that were invoked by the adept Adam until he was beguiled by the “Devil” and over time Adam lost the ability and control over this body of light and control over his soul and mind. . . that is known as the fall of man.

The Garden of Eden is a subtle hidden realm in ALL humans. Through extreme spiritual practice one can again regain that Garden of Eden, but it is very difficult.

BTW the Garden of Eden also has an outward reflection
It is our spiritual blindness that hides the Garden of Eden from us.

If one gains such a powerful inner light then they will be as powerful as Jesus was and is.

Now this Garden of Eden is a part of the inner trinity that makes up the soul which is the “Kingdom of God”

So Kingdom of God is a metaphor for the soul.

Not sure what to say about this, no disrespect but where do some of these explanations come from? Is this just your personal interpretation of things or did you read this somewhere?

The tree of life is this world!

It has an inner reality
And an outer reality

Originally the tree of Good and Evil related to the developmental stage that ADAM was at in his developmental cycle. He wasn’t mature enough to partake of the tree of life from the standpoint he was centered in. The tree of life was not evil per se, but it was evil for Adam at a certain time of his development.

For example: crossing the street in traffic for a grown up is not unlawful, or evil because they are mature enough to do it, but for a child of 3, it is unlawful or evil in a sense that the child is not developed enough to cross a street without causing harm to himself in traffic. That doesn’t make crossing a street evil.

So I guess my question to that is, why wouldn't have God just withheld access to this tree until Adam was more mature? Any good parent wouldn't let their child have access to a street so the child could cross and get hurt.

Again you are asking the right questions....

But why introduce "The Tree of Good and Evil" in the first place ????

For what purpose ???

In Genesis 3:24 God put Cherubims and flaming swords to protect access to the tree of life. Would eating from the tree of life have restored eternal life back to Adam and Eve? If so, then why was the tree in the garden to begin with if Adam and Eve were created to live forever?

You are on to it…. exactly my point.

If the story is authentic then why "The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil" in the first Plaace ?

For "The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil" to be placed in the Garden, there must have been a reason, or it would Not be put there in the first place ???

If so what was the reason ???

It wasn't a test for EVE or A'DAM.

As the Future would be known by God (Having Created everything including Evil) as it is reported in the bible (Roman Collection of Greek and Hebrew writings) God knows All.

If we can find out why "The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil" was put in the garden in the first place, and that God knowing that A'DAM and EVE would eat from this Tree, then we will know a little more about the story.

But may I suggest that the Story is a "Parable" or "Metaphoric" writing telling the Story of the Soul ( even though the flesh is mentioned also in places), which has in fact been Corrupted, either Intentionally or Not intentionally by the "Pharisees" and "Scribes", as reported to have happened, in other Christian Writings (Not of Roman Selection) Not included in the Roman collection of Greek and Hebrew writings known today, as the bible.

One such writing is "The Gospel of Thomas"... (as I have quoted many times in other threads) Quote;

39. Jesus said,

“The Pharisees and the Scribes
have taken The Keys of Knowledge
and Hidden Them.

They themselves have NOT entered,
nor have they allowed to enter
those who wish to.

You, however, be as wise as serpents
and as innocent as doves.”

Those B*^$#*% Scribes Oh and don't forget those Pharisees and Priests esp. the ones today.... No wonder people are back in the Dark...

Still one day maybe the human primate might find the courage to look into the LIGHT ???

Was there a third Tree in the garden???

I don't think human primate will ever get it. All the resources wasted each year on wars and feeding the greed of humanity. Just think what humans could accomplish if we just put all of our energy into finding the truth to our origins.
