Looks like something broke near the BOP on ocean Intervention ROV 2. Caught this screen shot a few minutes ago. Was showing two pipe like things that were disconnected from each other. Both looked totally out of place. I had a better screen shot but my software crashed just as i took it so this is all I have:



EDIT: I like how this 'debris' was found not long after we saw the plume on Skandi 2.

Q4000 ROV 1 is shutting off some valves somewhere. They were all open. Now closed.

EDIT: Turning some to 'o' now...I assume that means open or operate.

Look at how Dark that build up is...
Wonder if it is build up or some substance that blew
from that pipe when it broke or fell apart?

Whatever happened, the ROV floated away after switching some of them to 'o', and was seeing a rain of oil blobs all around it. It hurried back and shut them all off pretty quick.

EDIT: Now it is just sitting there. Almost like they are trying to figure out what to do next.

Also it appears if the Enterprise 2 ROV is at one of the relief wells. If I recall graphs passed around in this thread, this looks like one of them in the images. I could be wrong, but it's too small to be the BOP. All the parts look too clean and new for it to be something that has been there since the explosion.

Skandi ROV 1 finally on the move...

Bp's website said they were flushing out the equipment today getting ready for an ambient pressure today. They said that the last time too when we saw green clouds coing from the bottom of the dangling piece of equipment (tophat/"sucker" doohickey). It makes sense they would be closing and opening valves during that too.

Ektar, that article from wikipoop about anti-freeze might be misleading - this was being released into open water, not contained in a closed system.

DF, that red stuff looks like debris to me. You can zoom in on the Skandi one, but the other doesn't have sufficent detail.

Dragon, the cloud is what I have been talking about recently. I have been seeing this for at least a week, during the day. I would be looking at the BOP when a huge plume starts coming from below, until in obscures everything including the lights. The clouds were are very dark black......at least that's how they look. There must be something wrong down there somewhere....because I just saw Thad Allen on the Weather Channel, and he is acting like they are backing off drilling and bottom kill for some reason. All he keeps saying is "more tests need to be done"....last weekend it was like "we are going forward to shut this thing down as soon as possible".....no urgency NOW. That worries me!

Aye someone posted yesterday that he said they will have to put off the relief wells indefinetely till they can figure out a way of reducing the pressure, or something along them lines.

Dragon them red things - a cam was zooming in on them last night, all i could think was they looked like human fingers. Theyre obviously not going to be but as hard as i tried i just couldnt think what else they resembled. Parts of fish maybe? No idea, never seen them until now though.

This is an interesting article which may explain a LOT of what we are seeing on the cams as far as tar balls floating around, oil and gas seeping from the seabed, the occasional explosions, and maybe even the floornados....what do you think? This is the one thing I could find which would create ALL of these things....... the gulf has MANY of these, as well as mud volcanoes.... news.discovery.com...

8 am central time....the thing spraying the "unknown substance" just sat on top of some structure (looked like a BOP but not sure if it is the same one)....it sprayed the green spray directly onto/into it. Sat on top of it like a cap. It stayed there and poured out that stuff....then got off of it, and started spraying the water again. As I was watching this, I noticed on the other cam, it was showing another huge black cloud, and the ROV went into it. It's back in the clear now.

That looks brand new! What are they up to?! Ektar....did you get the U2U I sent?

When they lowered the pipe onto the BOP type thing it was a ridiculous amount of smoke. I thought that maybe that was the pipe they will use for relief wells, and the BOP looking thing is actually the manifold the pipe will connect to and that the smoke was maybe some chemical to treat the inside of the pipe in preparation for 40,ooo-odd psi of pressure. The eqiupment definetely looked box fresh but the only thing im not sure about was the height and width of the manifold, I think its got dimensions more similair to the BOP than the other manifold I spotted before.

Tuesday morning I saw many large packages being lowered down from the ships, one after another.....I think that is what the shiny new things we see are, But....what are they?
