Well the bubble leakage on Q4000 ROV 1 is back. Probably the most action it has seen since it started staring at that spot for the past few days.

Ohh okay, so the relief well (bottom kill) does not work by pumping cement down there to seal it at the bottom. Relief wells will tap the oil and, supposedly, stop the leak. I still have my doubts that it will work since things are getting worse down there. Will the casing even hold up to being drilled into? I wonder...

For those of you who didn't see the video of the 'floornado' I got earlier, it's quite incredible. Was on Ocean Intervention ROV 2 this morning:

I think that is the most incredible video yet!
Definitely Star & Flag! So far I think we have
the most compelling photo/video evidence...
Meaning the photo sequence with Video back/up
& your "Floornado" video...it is SO in your face!!!
Funny how words & terms were either not used
in certain ways or created for this whole mess...
I was the one that coined how the hydrate stack
up on the BOP reminded me of Bee Hives...
where they will show up somewhere out of
the ordinariness like all stacked on a tree & etc...
so I said those hydrates looked like a "Hive" so
since then that has become a term everyone
started using & easily understood....
I am in NO MEANS trying to stroke my ego...it was when someone I believe truthsurfer (I could be wrong) introduced "floornado" that made me think of it...
My interest here is to 1st be a total team member...that as well as the importance of this thread I think are detrimental in keeping the truth alive... Everyone is important!

So sorry to everyone...I do have pics from last nite to post...& just got reading through today's post...My server (Verizon) was down...

Sorry I couldn't monitor or capture any shots today...
Feel guilty...DragonFire has an incredible video, in
my opinion one of the best if not the BEST!! As far as I can
tell, & I could be wrong, truthslayer was trying to capture a video of what he termed "Floornado"...kept having problems trying to
embed the video...he finally got what I thought was
a GREAT photo & now checking feeds tonight Dragon
has the video to back it...
So all in all we have been DAMN LUCKY & fortunate
to have 2 people capturing photo shots and 2
totally different individuals capturing video to back
each one up...

And who the HELL said Friday 13th was BAD....LOL!!!

In this video, it seems the relief well will be used to pump cement in. They are talking about killing it, not getting oil out of it. I just don't see how that's going to work since it's still leaking and getting worse.

exactly, the climax, to this disaster is yet to come, but i neither know if it will be negative, as in failure, or successful, it would be a great feet for all humankind, for us to succeed, in fixing this mistake a mile or so below sea level, yet of course we who have more then one brain cell, understand its not all boobies and butterflies with this bandade fix.

I saw the video
Why would the use a spool that gives away at 7,500 psi- when they were hoping for 6,500 psi as confirmation that the cap did it's job?

Now they are calling that spool "the weak link" HAHAHAHA

I am waiting for the relief well to connect with the down pipe that is at least one mile under the sea floor- then there will be some 40K psi trying to rise into the drill ship- and then to pump mud against that kind of pressure?

Just stopping in to see what's been happening.. I missed the Thad update yesterday, not as if he had anything 'constructive' to say regarding this mess. Thanks to all for your combined efforts in what's 'really' goin' on down there

Not been to the Rovs yet but seeing as there's so many questions as to the wells integrity and condition, here's a link that may help shed some light (for non tech folks like me
)

There is a steady stream of white bubbles coming from the seafloor on Hos Achiever Maxx - ROV 1. It's pretty amazing to see it from that angle. Also a LOT of white hydrate build up on the wellhead still. Image from Olympic Challenger ROV 2 at 7:10am EDT August 14, 2010.

Notice the hydrates are all white now...that is pure methane leaking from the well now.

I was WRONG. That's what I get for not checking on something someone else said. It will never happen again....**eats crow** This video explains very well about how the static kill was done and exactly how the relief wells will be done and what they will do.

Not liking the look of the white build up on challenger 2. Are we sure its pure methane?

Hey dragonfire.........do you have anymore screen shots of the hydro build up and leaking..........ah stupid question because I know you do lol

I would like to add them as "proof" on the rain site that the static kill was not successfull. Thanks if you can help

Last I heard, from good ole Thad Allen, is that it was leaking a mixture of methane and oil...seeing as its white, I would assume its methane. But at this point, who knows.

Definetely doesnt look anything like the oil that was leaking before so I guess it must be. Heres hoping the relief wells work this weekend and its over with, cant see that happening though. In fact is it still gonny be this weekend or will it have to be the start of the week due to the small storm?
